Top 10 Craziest Things to Happen in Fortnite BR

For a ridiculously popular game, there was bound to be some truly awesome moments! Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today, we’re counting down our picks for the Top 10 Craziest Things to Happen in Fortnite: Battle Royale!

For this list, we’re showing some of the most wild and amazing moments to have happened in “Fortnite’s” battle royale mode.

#10: Fortnite E3 Tournament

If there's one way to show the massive popularity of “Fortnite”, it was this celebrity-fueled tournament. For E3 2018, Epic Games invited 100 YouTubers, streamers, and celebrities to compete in a Duos tournament. Contestants included Joel McHale, Xavier Woods, Backpack Kid, Jon Heder, Sssniperwolf, CDN, Markiplier, and, of course, Ninja. There weren't any special rules, either; this was a standard Duos match, which meant the stakes were ungodly high. In the end, Ninja and his partner, DJ and music producer Marshmello, won the tournament. Are you really that surprised?

#9: He Missed!

Isntittiring

We all know about the human body’s innate “fight or flight” response, but in the case of “Fortnite”, it becomes the “build or battle” response. In most situations, players choose to frantically build all over the place. As for Reddit user “isntittiring”, this would work in their favor. Upon editing a piece of their structure, they succeed in avoiding an explosive end by leaving a hole for an enemy missile to pass through. Seeing this in slo-mo really helps you to appreciate how awesome this moment really is. You can’t stage this stuff, people!

#8: An Intense Build Battle

Brandonater

The “build or battle” response becomes increasingly prominent as matches progress, and sometimes, they get a little out of control. One of the craziest examples of this comes from Reddit user Brandonater. Loaded with bouncers and multiple attempts at sniping or shotgunning each other, this was about a full, solid minute of frantic building, almost as if they were competing to see who could hit the ceiling first. We can see why Brandonater chose the name for the clip, we were on the edge of our seats the whole time.

#7: Rocket Riding

NoahJ456

The best thing about having a rocket launcher is being able to ride your rockets like a maniacal warhead general! But, here’s a tricky stunt to pull off; try riding rockets alternatively from one corner of the map to the other. That’s exactly what NoahJ456 did! Using the Guided Missile Launcher, he was able to ride from just outside Junk Junction all the way to the southend of Moisty Mire. The level of precision and timing required makes this one hell of a challenge. So, we’ll just stick to blowing our enemies to bits!

#6: Back to Spawn Island

OrangeGuy

At some point, you’ve probably tried heading back to Spawn Island after jumping off the Battle Bus. You’d think gliding would do the trick. Alas, you’d hit the water before even making it halfway there. But don’t give up hope just yet! YouTuber OrangeGuy and his friends managed to find a glitch that allows you to get back on Spawn Island. Simply build as far as you can to the island, grab a shopping cart, and launch yourself off! If you’re watching this in the future, hopefully they haven’t patched out the glitch yet…

#5: Mario Shopping Kart

JoshB_C

As soon as shopping carts were out, we all had the same thoughts racing through our heads: break the physics! Oh, and build Mario Kart tracks. One of the coolest ones we’ve seen comes from Reddit user JoshB_C, who built a track all around Tilted Towers. While the track isn’t directly based on any tracks from Nintendo’s hit series, you can clearly tell where the inspiration came from judging by its overall design and the way the video is edited. Now if only Epic will let us set up races in Playground Mode…

#4: In the Storm...For Real

In April 2018, an EF2 tornado hit Greensboro, North Carolina, and during the storm that contained 135 mile per hour winds, a young man sat in his house playing “Fortnite”. Thankfully, he took the time to help his sister and nephew find cover before finishing his game. Once his game finished, he returned to his family to wait out the storm. As much as we’d like to question how he even had Internet in the midst of a storm this intense, there’s a lesson to be learned here; your life is more important than winning a game. Please, Mojoholics, keep yourselves safe!

#3: The Most Ambitious Crossover

Tyler “Ninja” Blevins & Drake

One of the most interesting aspects to come out of “Fortnite’s” popularity is how the game has become the “Minecraft” to Twitch’s YouTube. How did this happen? You can thank streamer sensation Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and Drake. The two would team-up for a few games before they were joined by rapper Travis Scott and Pittsburgh Steelers wide-receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster. Over the course of the stream, Ninja held over 635,000 concurrent viewers and gained 90,000 subscribers. Needless to say, this unlikely squad was trending like crazy!

#2: Missile Launch Sabotage

The missile launch is, so far, one of the most exciting in-game events to hit “Fortnite”. It was a time for players to cease the fighting and witness a spectacle that would hint at future content. Of course, there were some people who wanted to rain on everyone’s parade, and the biggest troll ended up setting the world record for most solo kills. During the missile launch, a player known as “Elemental_Ray” destroyed a platform holding up forty-eight other players. Shortly after the event, the video made headlines across gaming media outlets. Only question now is if the griefer wears this as a badge of honor or a mark of shame.

#1: A Daring Rescue

MrMuselk

This was awesome enough that even Fortnite’s Twitter account had to share it! Upon eliminating an enemy player, streamer MrMuselk noticed another enemy player stranded at the very bottom of the map, just outside Paradise Palms. During his rescue, he notices that there is another build limit that is preventing the player from getting up by just one panel. In an effort to bring him a golf cart to hoist himself up, Muselk ends up knocking the player off the map. To commemorate this friendly murder, Epic placed a grave on the edge of the map where the player died, as well as a much-needed set of tires.
