Sometimes a simple Digivolution isn't the only solution.
Welcome to Watchmojo.com and today we're counting down our picks for the top 10 Digimon Fusions.

For this list, we'll be looking at the entire Digimon anime series to count down which combination Digimon are the very best. Keep in mind, we wont be including anything from the Digimon video games or manga so forgive us if you don't see your favourite.

#10: Shakkoumon

The combination of Angemon and Ankylomon wasn’t quite as well received as some of the others in the franchise, but when TK and Cody’s friends were in danger, Shakkoumon was the hero they needed. Resembling an ancient Dogu doll, this Digimon embodies both the heavenly and earth based elements of its combination, and has taken down some of the nastiest control spire digimon with its all-powerful justice beam. Perhaps most helpful of all, this digimon can absorb attacks and fire them right back at its opponent.

#9: NeoMyotismon Darkness Mode One

Digimon fusion was full of…well the name gives it away really, but the combos in this series weren’t reserved for just the heroes. On their tour to take down Bagramon’s evil army, Shoutmon and the gang arrived in a haunted village that was home to the terrifying NeoMyotismon. How do you make this guy even scarier? By combining him with two of the franchises’ most fear creatures – Devimon and LadyDevimon. The resulting fusion put our heroes to the test, but leave it up to the power of fusion…and friendship to take this beast down.

#8: Kimeramon

While not a fusion in the traditional sense, Kimeramon was instead an ultimate creature made by splicing the strongest parts of several different Digimon. Created in an attempt to gain total power, this beast instead ended up being too much for the Digimon emperor to handle, and began wreaking total destruction. Armed with a multitude of devastating abilities, including the unparalleled heat viper, Kimeramon’s introduction almost meant curtains for the Digi-destined… It’s unforeseen destruction even managed to open Ken’s eyes to the error of his ways.

#7: Laylamon Combined

We’re just going to be honest and say… we’ll take any excuse to include Laylamon to our list. The digi-succubus already held great power, being one of the Generals of the Bagra army, but when the need for a little more came, she took a page out of Mikey’s book and combined with her comrades Blastmon and vilemon to create this…much more revealing form.

#6: Silphymon

In respect to their personalities, Yolei and Kari couldn’t be more different. But, in order to overcome Arukenimon and the control spire digimon, they’d have to get on the same wavelength to DNA digivolve Gatomon and Aquilamon. And that’s just what they did when trapped inside the dark ocean with the threat of Blossomon. Silphymon proved a valuable asset to the team with its mastery of hand-to-hand combat and the long ranged “static force” technique. Like Shakkoumon, we would’ve liked to have seen a mega form for this digimon, but lets just be happy with what we got.

#5: Shoutmon X7 Superior mode

Impressed with the fusion of 2 digimon? Well don’t look now because Shoutmon utterly eclipses that with a fusion of ALMOST EVERY DIGIMON EVER. Fans were in awe at the size of this absolute unit, as he combined to a form whos power was unmatched – even taking down the might of Bagramon in his most powerful form. By rallying together all the digimon in the world, Shoutmon proved himself a viable contender for the title of “King of the digital world”.

#4: Susanoomon

Lucemon was shaping up to be the most unstoppable threat to the digital world in any incarnation of the series. The only way Takuya and Koji could stand a chance was by combining their strengths as Agunimon and Lobomon, as well as the other spirits, to achieve this incredible form. Armed with the ZERO-ARMS: Orochi, and the backed by their friend encouragement, this new stage leveled the playing field, allowing them to drag Lucemon back by the tail.

#3: Ordinemon

After the bombshell of Tai’s fate at the end of Digimon Tri: Co-existence, Kari was left inconsolable. So much so, that her fractured psyche led her partner digimon, Gatomon to combine with the already manic Meicoomon…and the result was not pretty. In an image that conjures up memories of end of evangelion, Ordinemon was awakened – and it possessed a scale and strength unlike anything we’d seen before in the franchise. With odds like these against them, The digi-destined will have to dig deep to find a way out of this one.

#2: Imperialdramon (Fighter Mode)

Once enemies, now friends, the team of Davis and Ken would have to find common ground to defeat the evil digimon, and thus Paildramon was born. But when that wasn’t enough, the team would ascend even further creating imperialdramon who, when in its fighter mode, was the digi-destined’s best hope in their battles against the likes of malomyotismon and blackwargreymon.
Imperialdramon made a habit of scaling its ability ever since, transforming into paladin mode to finally put a stop to Armageddemon…proving himself as one of the most valuable assets to the team.

#1: Omnimon

You just can’t beat the OG. Combining the mega-level Digimon WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon, Omnimon represented not only the friendship of Tai and Matt, but also the hopes of children around the world witnessing the battle against Diaboromon. Armed with the transended sword and supreme cannon, this DNA digivolution made quick work of its enemies, and has served as the Digidestined’s ace in the hole. Many Digimon fusions have come since, but Omnimon remains the undisputed king.
