Top 10 Friendly Celebrity Exes
Just because their relationship is over doesn't mean they can't stay friends! Many of these celebrity exes stayed friends because they share kids together but a lot of them remain close because they truly care about one another. Courteney Cox and David Arquette, Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin and Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez are some of the most famous celebrity exes!
#10: Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas
Lovato and Jonas met on the set of the film “Camp Rock”, and instantly hit it off. Unfortunately, the pair soon realized that they didn’t quite work as a couple. No worries here though, the two chose to remain in each other’s lives and have admitted that they are still best friends. In fact, Lovato has since been on tour with Joe, and has even collaborated—and toured—with his brother Nick. So not only are Joe and Demi on good terms, but she appears to be with the rest of the Jonas Brothers too!
#9: Courteney Cox and David Arquette
When couples that have children together separate, they tend to stay friendly for the sake of the young ones. Cox and Arquette were no different. The former power couple separated in 2010, but they continued to remain on good terms with one another despite their differences. However, it isn’t just their kids that have kept them on speaking terms; Cox and Arquette are also business partners, having founded the film production company Coquette Productions in 2003.
#8: Demi Moore and Bruce Willis
In the 1990s Willis and Moore were two of Hollywood’s biggest stars, which means their relationship garnered plenty of media attention. So when they ultimately decided to call it quits in 1998 their divorce was a highly publicized one. Thankfully for them and their three children, the break up was extremely friendly. In fact, Willis remained extremely close with his ex-wife in the ensuing years, going so far as to attend her wedding to her new husband Ashton Kutcher in 2005. In return, Moore and Kutcher attended his wedding to model Emma Heming in 2009. Sounds like a fair trade!
#7: Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz
Kravitz and Bonet eloped in 1987 and remained together for six years. During that time Bonet gave birth to the couple's only child, Zoe. When the couple decided that things weren’t working out they seem to have simply continued on as if nothing ever happened. As Zoe began to transition from being the daughter of two celebrities to being a celebrity in her own right, her parents were always there to support her, often sitting side by side at events, concerts, and awards shows. It must be nice having an ex in your life that you can rely on!
#6: Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck
In the mid-2000s these two were as hot, if not hotter, than any couple in Hollywood. Their 10 years of marital togetherness would spawn three beautiful children, before separating in 2015. However, the two managed to remain friends in the ensuing years. In fact, Affleck and Garner see each other quite frequently, as they’ve made a commitment to their children to remain a part of each other’s lives going forward. This includes spending holiday time together and even church on Sundays! As far as exes go, these two seem to have it all figured out.
#5: Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom
If there were an award for the most beautiful couple in the world, Bloom and Kerr would undoubtedly have been in the running each year they were together. Unfortunately the two divorced in 2013, and for most couples this would be where their story reached its end, but Bloom and Kerr have remained close for the sake of their son Flynn. In fact, the two have been known to get together during holidays and family gatherings as a show of support and respect for their son and their family. If that isn’t a sign of emotional maturity we don’t know what is.
#4: Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki
Fans of the “The Big Bang Theory” will be quick to point out that not only where these two actors hooking up on-screen, it appears they were secretly dating off-screen too! Unbeknownst to many, Cuoco and Galecki began dating in 2007 and continued to do so until deciding to part ways in 2009. Clearly the split didn’t affect their ability to work alongside one another, and as refreshing as it is to see actors put their differences aside in the name of professionalism, we can’t help but think that it must still be a little awkward if a script calls for them to kiss.
#3: Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon
Age difference aside, Carey and Cannon made it work for the better part of six years. Unfortunately, these two celebs were unable to keep the flame of love alive, with Cannon filing for divorce in 2014. But these two multi-talented entertainers continue to cross paths in order to keep a smile on their children’s faces. Cannon and Carey have been seen out and about with twins Monroe and Moroccan on multiple occasions, including a walk down the orange carpet at the 2017 Kids Choice Awards. It would appear that setting aside their differences for the sake of their children continues to be their number one priority.
#2: Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin
While this former power couple may no longer be together, they appear to have no problem linking up whenever their children are concerned. Despite the fact that they consciously uncoupled in 2014, Paltrow and Martin have continued to support each other in matters of family, refusing to cancel a family trip to the Bahamas only days after announcing their breakup. With one an A-list actress and the other an international rock star it’s nothing short of incredible that they still manage to get the family together for Thanksgiving dinners, or trips to see Dad perform in exotic places.

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline
#1: Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony
As far as celebrity couples are concerned, you’d be hard pressed to find one with as many interesting personal and professional business ventures as Anthony and Lopez. The former mister and missus share two children—Emme and Max—and have worked on songs, albums, concerts and films together and in 2009 purchased stakes in the Miami Dolphins football franchise…together. The fact that these two continue to remain on good terms despite their 2011 separation and subsequent divorce is a testament to the fact that they share more than just memories.
