Who needs Haki when you've got a sense of humor? Welcome to WatchMojo.com and today we'll be counting down our list of the top 10 funniest “One Piece” characters.

For this list we'll be looking at the characters from “One Piece” who gave us the most laughter. Since nearly every character is in some way funny, this was no easy task. And, since humor is subjective, keep in mind that these are just the ones who tickled our funny bones the most.

Special thanks to our user Jordan Brown and oc for submitting the idea on our interactive suggestion tool: WatchMojo.comsuggest

#10: Kin’emon

A recent ally of the Straw Hat crew, Kin’emon is a samurai through and through. However, like historical samurai, he’s also quite ignorant of cultures outside his own, making for some amusing culture shock. For all his honor though, this samurai is actually quite the pervert, giving him some common ground with some of the Straw Hats. Kin’emon also met the gang in the most peculiar of ways, since he’s revealed literally in pieces. In addition, his ability to create clothing from nothing leads to some amusing wardrobe changes for himself and others.

#9: Mr. 3

Every good double act needs a straight man, and Mr. 3 plays the role quite excellently. A former bounty hunter, Mr. 3 is initially presented as relatively serious and it isn’t until he is imprisoned in the great jail Impel Down that he meets the other half of his comedic duo: Buggy. While we’ll get to that clownish pirate properly later on, it’s Mr. 3’s exasperation at the antics of Buggy, and Luffy, which earned him a spot on our list.

#8: Lola

Lola is probably the holder of some kind of record when it comes to marriage proposals, having proposed four thousand four hundred and forty-four times! This pink-haired pirate has to have one of the more bizarre character introductions in the series, since she’s introduced through a copy of her personality implanted into a pink warthog zombie. That zombie shares her desire for marriage, but is far more…shall we say…aggressive, in her pursuit of it. What really clinched Lola for the list though, was her hysterically random friendship with Nami.

#7: Emporio Ivankov

Iva to his friends, is the king and queen of crossdressers, a.k.a. okama – and is all about having a good time. Besides his goofy personality, Iva is also prone to some hilarious overreactions. Even his fighting style manages to be funny, since it typically involves some pretty weird moves, such as expanding the size of his own head and winking with the force of a cannon. All in all, Iva is one flamboyantly funny fellow…or female, depending on mood.

#6: Roronoa Zoro

Zoro is the swordsman and first mate of the Straw Hat crew. Some might find it odd we chose to put him on the list, given how serious he is most of the time, but it’s his sober nature that makes his funnier moments all the more enjoyable. For instance, despite his overall competence and strength, he’s utterly without a sense of direction; getting lost even traveling in a straight line. Zoro’s rivalry with Sanji is also an excellent source of comedy and he’s not above goofing around with Luffy on occasion.

#5: Monkey D. Garp

Garp is Luffy’s paternal grandfather and a Marine vice admiral. However, the degree to which he takes either of those responsibilities seriously is a bit debatable, particularly when they conflict with each other. Garp’s laid back approach to his job leads to some very amusing interactions with both his subordinates and his superiors, particularly when it comes to the subject his notorious grandson. He also has a classic case of comedic narcolepsy. With Garp’s eccentric, lackadaisical behavior, it’s no wonder why Luffy is the way he is...

#4: Mr. 2 Bon Kurei

Ivankov may be the “king of queens,” but Bon Clay is the number one Okama in our hearts. Despite beginning as an antagonist, Clay quickly wins over the Straw Hat crew, and the audience, with his fun-loving nature, constant dancing, devotion to friendship, and ability to transform into anyone he touches. It’s this last one that leads to a particularly funny moment in which he uses his powers to create a combination of the world’s weirdest facial features. Overall, Bon Clay is a tremendously entertaining character, who doesn’t even let something like being imprisoned keep him down.

#3: Buggy

It wouldn’t be a list of funny “One Piece” characters without the series’ resident gag villain, Buggy the Clown. An ineffectual thorn in Luffy’s side from early in his journey, Buggy is a “flashy” pirate whose gags are as many and varied as his face paint. From his delayed reactions, to his literal coming apart at the seams, to his outrageous fame hounding, this loud mouth makes up for his relatively sparse screen time by packing as much comedy into his appearances as possible.

#2: Bartolomeo

The coliseum tournament during the Dressrosa arc introduced a slew of new characters and the funniest was definitely Bartolomeo. A former gangster, this rookie pirate is renowned for his insulting, mocking personality that has led him into some violent confrontations on his journey to notoriety. While his vicious side is amusing in its own right, he also happens to be the Straw Hat crew’s number one fan; a contrast that is as unexpected as it is funny. Watching a pirate nicknamed “the Cannibal” geek out over meeting his heroes makes you love him all the more.

Before we reveal our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions:

Franky

Sanji

Luffy

#1:Usopp

The Straw Hat crew’s resident liar…er…sniper, Usopp is a nervous, cowardly bundle of funny you can’t help but love. While his crewmates are often capable of superhuman feats, Usopp is far less confident or capable, leading to some comical cowardice on his part. Fortunately for him, the long nosed marksman is fond of talking much bigger than he can act, which leaves many of his fights full of bluffs and fake-outs. As we said before, nearly everyone in “One Piece” is funny, but in this comedy gold mine of a series, Usopp is a vein that just keeps on giving.
