Top 10 Hated America's Next Top Model Contestants

Top 10 Hated America's Next Top Model Contestants
VOICE OVER: LY
Script written by Q.V. Hough

These are the contestants on ANTM who irked and annoyed the other contestants, judges and audiences alike! We've included infamous models like Kacey Leggett, Devin Lj Clark, Renee Alway, Alexandria Everett, Jade Cole, Kristin Kagay,Marissa Hopkins, Denzel Wells and Monique Calhoun.

#10: Kacey Leggett

Cycle 15

After failing to make the cut in Cycle 11, this model managed to return for Cycle 15. Kacey rubbed models the wrong way with her confrontational attitude, and the judges often noted her lack of consistency. But what really set people off is when Kacey got friendly with some male models, despite already having a boyfriend. Partway through the season, the drama was bad enough for a house meeting. In the end, Kacey failed to impress the judges and placed 9th in cycle 15. Her negative attitude definitely didn’t help her cause!

#9: Dani from Spring, Texas

Cycle 6

Hailing from Texas, this 18 year old contestant is not to be confused with the Cycle 6’s eventual winner, Dani Evans. There’s a good reason for that, as Dani the Bigot was overt about her radical right wing views, detailing her dislike for Muslims and gays in her audition tape. She didn’t actually make the season’s final casting, which is not a surprise given her bizarre debates with fellow cast mates early on. During the first judges’ meeting, Dani is reminded that gay people are everywhere in the modeling industry. Still, she doesn’t seem to understand the bigger picture. So early on, Tyra and company send Dani straight back to Texas.

#8: Devin Lj Clark

Cycle 22

From San Francisco, this controversial contestant was hand-picked by Tyra Banks herself. That alone separated Devin from other models, who came into the competition by going through a rigorous audition process. Throughout his time on the show though, he went on to aggravate people with his passive-aggressive behavior. On the outside, he’s bubbly and loud but behind people’s backs it was all trash talk and bragging about all the agencies he had already signed to. He was loud and proud, someone who often crossed boundaries, all in the name of trying to become “America’s Next Top Model.”

#7: Renee Alway

Cycle 8

When Cycle 8 began, Renee Alway was a newly married contestant with a whole lotta attitude. On set, she tried to manipulate others with her backstory, and her negativity ultimately led to a Top Model intervention. Despite making it to the top 3, it was Renee’s immature behavior and overly mature look that sealed her fate. The potential was there, but the drive was nowhere to be found - a personality trait that made her a true villain within the house. As of December 2014, the Michigan native has serving a 12-year jail sentence for theft and burglary.

#6: Robin Manning

Cycle 1

While it’s always admirable when models stay true to their core principles, this former Beauty Queen pushed her beliefs too far. As the first plus-sized model and the oldest contestant in season one, Robin brought something different to “America’s Next Top Model.” Still, she pushed her Christian morals on everyone in the house, even showing open disdain for a fellow contestant who was gay. The models didn’t like being patronized over and over again, and many fans questioned why Robin auditioned in the first place. By episode 7, she had to go, and it wasn’t moment too soon.

#5: Lisa D’Amato

Cycle 5 & 17

This outrageous contestant first competed in Cycle 5 and later won the All Star season for Cycle 17. During her time on “America’s Next Top Model,” Lisa D’Amato was the girl who not only stirred up drama but also constantly promoted her “edgy” persona. She famously urinated in a diaper during a “Wild Boyz” shoot, and her brutally honest ways unsurprisingly caused conflict with the other contestants. With her unapologetic attitude, Lisa embraced the bad girl role, along with all the hate that along with it. She definitely had success, but it came with a price.

#4: Alexandria Everett

Cycle 16 & 17

When this Cycle 16 cast-off returned for the Cycle 17 All-Star season, many people rolled their eyes. While some may argue that Alexandria was just misunderstood on the show, there was just something about her energy that just made the models uncomfortable to be around her. During her first Top Model run, Alexandria had so many issues with her fellow models that some even questioned her sanity. Jaclyn even said that she was afraid of her. Alexandria famously pushed Brittani Kline to tears, and her negativity ultimately became too much for the judges as well, at one point giving direction to a director on set. Still, Alexandria’s “tough” brand made her a valuable addition to her All-Star cycle.

#3: Jade Cole

Cycle 6

After Cycle 6 aired, this model claimed that she was “misrepresented” on the show. While we know how reality TV magic is made, Jade Cole was undoubtedly more confrontational than the others, and exhibited inappropriate behavior at every turn. She managed to make the Top 3 of her Cycle, though she often landed in the Bottom 3 from week to week. She had it going on, and she wasn’t afraid to let everybody know. She has been referred to as “one of ANTM's greatest villains” and E news labelled her one of the "two biggest bitches in the history of the show.” Now that’s saying something!

#2: Kristin Kagay

Cycle 19

It’s one thing to throw shade at fellow models, but sassing the photographer is a whole other story. In Cycle 19, Kristin Kagay had a consistently bad attitude, most notably during her interactions with creative director Johnny Wujek. Her behavior was telling for the judges, yet her potential kept her in the Top 5 and she was considered a fan favorite multiple times. The 19-year-old appeared on the “College Edition” cycle, and she most definitely fits the mold of a self-involved sorority girl who couldn’t quite get over herself.

Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few dishonorable mentions.

Marissa Hopkins

Cycle 23

Denzel Wells

Cycle 21

Saleisha ‘Stal’ Stowers

Cycle 9

#1: Monique Calhoun

Cycle 7

In Cycle 7, Monique Calhoun was the perfect storm of all the negative behavior “America’s Next Top Model” contestants are known for. She was overly dramatic during hop Model makeover, She hogged the phone for hours to get back at her fellow competitors. She even rubbed her dirty underwear on another model’s bed sheets- disgusting! She showed time and time again that she had no shame and when she was finally sent packing, Monique still didn’t seem to get it.

It was interesting how during her interview Monique spoke of the negative treatment she endured from her sisters-- that brought her to tears-- and yet she seemed to have no problem displaying equal negative behavior towards models in the house.
