As it happens, Rize is a rather ravenous Ghoul, unable to resist her cravings for sweet, human flesh. And wouldn’t you know it, Kaneki is rather tasty. If not for her getting crushed under some falling steel beams, there likely wouldn’t be anything left of him. At least his last view would have been a pretty one…
