Top 10 INSANE McDonald's Secret Menu Items
Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we’re counting down our picks for the most unique, weird, and perhaps over-the-top McDonald's items that aren't on the regular menu.
#10: Hash Brown McMuffin
The crispiness of a McDonald’s Hash Brown is top notch. It’s a terrific side to go with your Sausage & Egg McMuffin. And it turns out, the hash brown can also work as an extra ingredient inside of your Sausage & Egg McMuffin. This adds an extra layer—and texture—to your breakfast sandwich. McDonald’s even posted this product on their website, calling it a “menu hack” that you can “order by name” and assemble yourself. Still, it’s not a part of the regular menu, so you may have to explain yourself when ordering a Hash Brown McMuffin, depending on what McDonald’s location you go to.
#9: Chicken Cordon Bleu McMuffin
That can’t be right. “Chicken Cordon Bleu McMuffin” sounds too fancy to be served at a fast-food restaurant. But it is. Although, it must be said that this gourmet-sounding food isn’t exactly as gourmet as it sounds. It’s a McChicken patty inside an Egg McMuffin with Canadian bacon. Seriously, is it really chicken cordon bleu if the cheese isn’t stuffed inside the chicken? Come on now. Plus, with all due respect to the Golden Arches, their cheese doesn’t exactly scream cordon bleu. Nonetheless, that’s what those aware of this secret menu hack call it.
#8: Snickers Iced Coffee
With all the different syrups and ingredients you can mix in your coffee, it can be hard to decide what to order. Social media apps like TikTok, however, can open our eyes to concoctions that many of us had never thought of. One particular viral TikTok video gives people a sweet iced coffee option from McDonald’s that resembles a liquid version of a famous candy bar. It’s called the Snickers Iced Coffee. The McCafé can whip this up for you if you order an Iced Hazelnut Coffee with one chocolate syrup, one chocolate caramel syrup, two caramel drizzles, and one whipped cream if you’d like.
#7: Shamrock Iced Coffee
For McDonald’s aficionados, March means Shamrock Shake time. This seasonal, green, mint-flavored milkshake is a nod to St. Patrick’s Day. It actually tends to be available in the US and Canada during the month of February as well. Mickey D’s also has a seasonal Mint Mocha Flavored Syrup. Ordering an iced coffee with this syrup will give you the secret menu item known as the Shamrock Iced Coffee. Mint and chocolate really do work well together, and that’s what you get here while being able to spruce up your typical morning joe.
#6: Big Mac 'n' Cheese
Something just feels wrong about a Big Mac without the patties, especially given its status as a fast-food icon. Just looking at it, it’s hard not to think that something is missing. It’s not even a burger anymore. It’s a sandwich—and a peculiar one at that. The Big Mac ‘n’ Cheese is what people call this secret menu item. You still get the three-part sesame seed bun, iceberg lettuce, American cheese, onions, sliced pickles, and Big Mac sauce—but, again, no patties. While this is supposed to be a sort of vegetarian meal option, why not just get the McPlant? Or, better yet, why not just eat somewhere else?
#5: Crunchy Double
If you can’t decide between nuggets and a burger at McDonald’s, the Crunchy Double just might be your perfect match—albeit, an unconventional one. Listed on the chain’s website as a “limited time menu hack,” the Crunchy Double is essentially a Double Cheeseburger with pickles, onions, ketchup, and mustard—plus 6 Chicken McNuggets. The burger and nuggets come separately, so it’s up to you to assemble it by placing the nuggets on the bottom bun and drizzling them with barbecue sauce. Then, just pop the rest of the Double Cheeseburger on top. Good luck not making a mess with this thing!
#4: Mc10:35
Time is of the essence when it comes to the McDonald’s secret menu item known as the Mc10:35. It’s been claimed that this McBrunch item is only available between 10:30 and 11:00am. It mixes a breakfast food with a lunch food by combining an Egg McMuffin with a McDouble. Although, there are variations. For example, instead of the English muffin, the sandwich may come bookended by hamburger buns, as you see in this video. Oh yeah, and unlike this guy, you may have to assemble the two items together yourself. In fact, we bet there’s a good chance you’d have to explain to the McDonald’s worker what a Mc10:35 is.
#3: Land, Air, & Sea Burger
The name is intriguing. The product is, well, interesting. As far as secret menu items go, the Land, Air, & Sea Burger from McDonald’s is pretty well-known. It’s a Big Mac, McChicken, and Filet-O-Fish all in one stacked sandwich. While it likely won’t be served that way should you decide to order this ridiculous burger at your local McDonald's, you can assemble it yourself by ordering those three separate sandwiches. Although, it will certainly put more of a dent in your pocket than your typical fast-food meal. Maybe it’s a try-once-just-to-say-you’ve-had-it type of sandwich? Or, for most people, it’s just never gonna happen.
#2: Bababooey Burger
By sliding the McChicken into the middle of a McDouble, you get yourself the Bababooey Burger. Some Mickey D’s fans have praised this huge sandwich for being an excellent bang for your buck. Given that it’s a sandwich inside of a sandwich, this burger contains four pieces of bread! However, some food reviewers have opted for a less substantial two-piece bun version. But it’s the four-layered iteration that ultimately gives the Bababooey its spot on the list. The Big Mac has three slices of bread, which is already a lot for a sandwich. But four? That’s hefty.
#1: Monster Mac
There may be a certain Halloween song that the phrase ‘Monster Mac’ brings to mind. After eating this sandwich, though, it might be hard to dance. The ‘Monster Mac’ from McDonald’s is an octuple cheeseburger. That’s right, oct as in eight—a Big Mac with eight beef patties. As if a regular Big Mac wasn’t big enough! Or even a Double Big Mac! How does one fit all that in their mouth? You need a monster appetite to be able to eat this thing in one sitting. The Monster Mac is not a plausible order in any way. But, we must say, Monster Mac is a great name.
