Top 10 Most Rewatched Animated Disney Channel Moments

Top 10 Most Rewatched Animated Disney Channel Moments
VOICE OVER: Phoebe de Jeu WRITTEN BY: Adriana Travisano
The most rewatched animated Disney Channel moments never get old. Our countdown includes "The Owl House," "DuckTales," "Gravity Falls," and more!

#10: Rapunzel vs. Cassandra “Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure” (2017-20)

Not only was Tangled an awesome movie, but its Disney Channel series was more than most of us we’re expecting. The music scores are phenomenal and the plot deserves a - how you say? - chef’s kiss. This moment features best friend turned villain, Cassandra, storming the castle for The Graphtic Scroll with the incantations. When it’s revealed that Varian’s the only one with access to it and the Translation Key, she kidnaps him. Under a truth potion, Varian reveals the third--and what Cassandra assumes is the final--incantation. Rapunzel and the gang confront Cassandra - and just when it seems she’s too powerful, Varian deciphers a fourth incantation for Rapunzel. The power of the Moonstone and Sundrop are what make this epic fight.. well, epic.

#9: Jacob Luke "Jake" Long & Rose's First Kiss "American Dragon: Jake Long" (2005-07)

After months of Rose’s absence, the oracle twins Kara and Sara warn Jake and the gang that the Hunstclan are up to something. Jake and Spud disguise themselves as members, infiltrate the clan, and end up running right into Rose. She is later tasked with killing Jake and the two of them argue about their plan. Right before they enter the arena, we get the moment we’ve all been waiting for: Jake kisses Rose. Finally! After so many almost-kisses and countless romantic moments, it’s the possibility of goodbye for good that finally pushes this pair together. Despite only spanning two seasons, this show definitely took the star-crossed lovers trope to a whole new level. And, people, “we’re not braggin’”!

#8: Pulling Sasha Waybright Up from the Tower “Amphibia” (2019- )

Even with Sasha on the wrong side of the fight, Anne tries to save her from the collapsing tower. As Sasha realizes the Plantars are slipping, she tells Anne that maybe she's better off without her, and lets herself fall. This is an incredible moment for several reasons. This is the first time Anne stands up to Sasha after being pushed around by her for so long. Sasha, in turn, has a moment of clarity about her behavior and sacrifices herself in a meaningful act of character development. To top off the drama, “Lean on Me” plays throughout the scene, which is not only a remarkable song, but also fits perfectly in this moment.

#7: Luz Noceda & Amity Blight's Dance “The Owl House” (2020-)

Top 10 Most Rewatched Disney Channel Moments

Although Amity never works up the nerve to ask Luz to “Grom”, Hexside’s version of prom, she does admit she’s scared of being “Grom Queen”. Apparently, the title earns its holder the honor of fighting a monster who lives beneath the school and reveals their worst fear. Luz, ever the altruist, offers to take Amity’s place. The monster ends up chasing Luz outside, where Amity helps her fight it. In the process, Amity’s fear of asking someone to Grom and getting rejected is outed, and Luz offers to go with her instead. It’s a super sweet moment and the biggest shipping fuel we’ve gotten from the series so far--not to mention the awesome dance choreography. Who doesn’t love a good ol’ fashion dance-fight?

#6: Penny Proud Switches Homes with a Muslim Girl “The Proud Family” (2001-05)

When Penny’s school hosts a cultural heritage event, Penny switches families with Radika Zamin, a Pakistani girl. This episode was a little controversial in terms of its Muslim and other racial representations, but its core message is awesome. After witnessing a hate crime against the Zamin family where their home is defaced, Penny gives a speech in front of the school in which she shames the perpetrators of the attack and describes her experience living with them: they’re strange, but so is every other family out there. We’re all a little weird, and what better way to be united?

#5: Star Butterfly & Marco Diaz's First Kiss “Star vs. the Forces of Evil” (2015-19)

It probably doesn’t come as a surprise that this one made the list. From the beginning, Star and Marco seem fated to be together, which is why this first kiss is so memorable. It’s definitely inopportune timing, but aren’t most things in life? Either way, it’s refreshing to hear the way these two speak so openly about their feelings and, of course, the kiss itself made all of our hearts soar. Although Star is dating Tom here, it’s pretty clear she still has lingering feelings for Marco by the way she reacts to the kiss. If their glowing cheeks in the final photo and Blood Moon in the sky are any indication, these two were definitely fated.

#4: Della Duck Reunites with Scrooge McDuck & Meets Her Children “DuckTales” (2017-21)

Hey, where's that crying coming from? Oh, sorry, that's just us... This moment was built-up from early on in the first season when we first learn of Della's disappearance. Her story is beautifully told from both the Earth and the moon--which is what makes this long-awaited meeting so heartwarming. From Earth, the boys aren’t sure they’ll ever get to know who their mom really was and from the moon, Della spends ten years trying to get back to her boys. Her disappearance nearly tears their family apart--twice--and with the odds stacked monumentally against her, it’s a McDuck miracle we get to see this reunion happen.

#3: Phineas Flynn & Isabella Garcia-Shapiro Finally Get Together “Phineas and Ferb” (2007-15)

After nearly four seasons of Isabella pining for Phineas, this aged-up episode gave us the conclusion we’d hoped for. The gang is getting ready to head off to college when Phineas finally finds out about Isabella’s crush. Now having developed feelings for her, Phineas isn’t sure where to go from here. His obliviousness was definitely a running gag on the show and apparently it was kept up, even well into the future! When Phineas learns Isabella’s leaving early for school, he confesses his feelings and makes a last minute decision to attend the same college as her. This episode features a sweet song about the years they could’ve spent together and the kiss we’d been waiting for since Across the 2nd Dimension!

#2: Grunkle Stan Begs Mabel Pines Not to Close the Portal “Gravity Falls” (2012-16)

By this point in the show, we knew Grunkle Stan was hiding something. There’s a secret passage behind the vending machine, he was in possession of Journal Number 1, and a cryptogram from the previous episode told us “Stan is not what he seems”. It all came to a head in this episode, where Stan is arrested by government agents, is caught stealing toxic waste, and is obviously lying about his identity. Dipper’s suspicion, here, is pretty warranted, which is why this moment is so emotional. Not only is Mabel in a time-crunch to make a decision, but two people she cares deeply about--her brother and her great uncle--are shouting conflicting directions at her. Thank Soos for her decision in the end though, huh? Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions. Bill Cipher's Death “Gravity Falls” (2012-16) Donald Duck's Hot New Voice “DuckTales” (2017-21) Phineas & Ferb Get Busted “Phineas and Ferb” (2007-15) Star Destroys Magic & Stays Behind with Marco “Star vs. the Forces of Evil” (2015-19)

#1: Kimberly Ann Possible & Ron Stoppable Kiss at Prom “Kim Possible” (2002-07)

This was probably one of the biggest build-ups in cartoon history. We shipped Kim and Ron for three seasons, unsure if we would ever see them get together, only for it to happen all at once in one epic TV movie. Upon realizing his feelings for Kim, Ron plans to keep them quiet out of fear of ruining their friendship. But, when Kim is feeling insecure about her boyfriend-turned-Synthodrone, Ron lets her know that there are better guys out there for her… namely, him. The two share the famous prom kiss that sets up perpetual unrealistic expectations for the rest of us and return for a final season that sees the crime-fighting duo navigating new territory: their romantic relationship. Uh, booyah!
