“Chainsaw Man” (2022)
Even for devils, this act of revenge is beyond savage. Joined by his comrade Aki, the two young Devil Hunters torture Katana Man by having a contest to see who can make him scream the loudest by repeatedly kicking him in his family jewels. It’s almost impossible to keep a straight face while bearing witness to Denji and Aki brutalizing Katana Man to the sound of beautiful music as he silently screams bloody murder to the heavens above.
#9: One Cigarette
“Moriarty the Patriot” (2020-21)
In a society ruled by corrupted nobles, only the most ruthless and cunning survive. Fortunately for William James Moriarty, he’s got all that in spades. During his quest to destroy the vile nobility of Britain, William uses his superior intellect to identify and outwit a noble turned serial killer who targets young boys. Rather than eliminate the noble himself, William grants the opportunity instead to one of the victim's fathers. As the noble experiences the same fear and suffering as his victims, William leaves the father to enjoy his revenge while he casually enjoys a cigarette. Just goes to show that one doesn’t always need brawn to be savage.
#8: Delta Eliminates Her Brother
“The Eminence in Shadow” (2022-)
For someone like Delta, the idea of the strong devouring the weak is more than just an expression. During a routine mission to dispatch some bandits, Delta has an unexpected run-in with none other than her blood brother, Zabra. Rather than feel overjoyed at reuniting with her long-lost sibling, Delta instead terrifies the beast out of Zabra who begs her to spare his life. Unfortunately, by showing such weakness, Zabra practically signs his death warrant as Delta executes him without hesitation. Even though she was just enforcing the ways of her tribe, the fact that Delta’s casual act of fratricide surprised even Cid speaks volumes of just how savage this beastly beauty can be.
#7: Yusuke Lays Into the Doctor

After Dr. Kamiya reveals his true nature and threatens the lives of innocent people, Yusuke unleashes a barrage of blows to knock the doctor unconscious and return everyone to normal. While Kamiya’s supernatural abilities make this task very difficult, it also gives Yusuke plenty of opportunity to vent his rage by letting him dish out even more damage without holding back. Even though Yusuke gave the mad doctor several chances to make things right, his cruelty forced Yusuke to take a more savage approach to save Kamiya’s victims from his homicidal ambitions.
#6: Goblin Slayer One Shots the Ogre

Without breaking a sweat, Mihawk proceeds to destroy Zoro’s confidence by effortlessly deflecting all of his attacks and dishing out massive damage with a weapon no bigger than a pocket knife. The fact that Mihawk claims he could have defeated him with an even smaller blade only further adds to the savagery of this unforgettable moment.
#4: Zohakuten Appears
“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” (2019-)
You can tell an opponent is savage when their theme music perfectly captures the essence of a god’s fury. Fighting against four super-powered clones of the Upper-Rank Hatengu was bad enough, but a fusion of them is an entirely different kind of beast. Along with possessing the abilities of his fellow clones, Zohakuten can also terrify his foes into submission simply by flexing his overwhelming presence and can also create and command vicious wooden dragons to devour his enemies. Even with a Hashira by their side, the Demon Slayers were unable to beat Zohakuten in battle and only managed to stop him by slaying the original. Ultimately, this nigh unstoppable monster more than lives up to his reputation as a living incarnation of wrath.

Unfortunately for Aura, she greatly underestimates Frieren as the latter proves herself superior to the feared demon general. Thanks to a clever tactic she developed to deceive demons, Frieren uses her millennia-old magic reserves to turn Aura’s power against her and with just two words, coldly tells Aura to take her own life. Geez, no wonder demons call her “the Slayer.”

#1: Sukuna Destroys Jogo
“Jujutsu Kaisen” (2020-)
Jogo may be one of the strongest curses in the series, but that strength means virtually nothing when his opponent is the King of Curses himself. Even when unleashing the full force of a volcanic eruption, as well as a giant meteor, Jogo’s firepower barely slows Sukuna down. What’s even more terrifying is that Jogo is the only one suffering real damage as Sukuna disassembles everything that Jogo can throw at him without suffering so much as a single blow. While Sukuna does end up acknowledging Jogo’s strength, in the end, the King of Curses not only defeats him but incinerates him using the power of his natural element.
