For this list, we're looking at the most chic women on television who set trends for years to come. We're basing our choices on a blend of amazing clothes, innovative outfit combinations and the attitude that sells each character's looks. Though they're undoubtedly glamorous, we're excluding daytime soap operas this time.

#10: Cheryl Blossom
"Riverdale" (2017- )

No matter where she is, Cheryl Blossom commands attention with her unique clothing and trademark tendency towards red. Blossom always has the perfect outfit, whether she's at a party, a race or stealing from someone. Cheryl's wealthy roots shine through in many form-fitting cocktail dresses and her bold fur jackets. Despite this, Cheryl's more recent looks involve a lot more red leather jackets and sharp black pants like her once-fellow Southside Serpents. Though Veronica does preppy styles well, she's shown us less variety than Ms. Blossom. By pushing the boundaries of what's acceptable in public and putting together show stopping ensembles, Cheryl Blossom has become something of a fashion icon.

#9: Mindy Lahiri
"The Mindy Project" (2012-17)

Though she's a doctor, Mindy Lahiri finds a lot of ways to mix haute couture dresses into her wardrobe. At work, Mindy's clothing blends great patterns with designs that could easily dazzle a runway. As you’ve likely noticed, she's one of the only people at her office who wears boutique clothes rather than a drab suit or scrubs. Mindy Kaling actually uses her eye-catching dresses to match her character’s mood in a given scene. Her outfits have even become a focus of the show's advertising, with highlight reels dedicated to her fashion-sense. Mindy's style is equal parts business and trendy, eye-popping patterns - and we wouldn’t have her any other way.

#8: Kelly Garrett, Jill Munroe & Sabrina Duncan
"Charlie's Angels" (1976-81)

When Kelly, Jill and Sabrina hit the streets for Charlie, they make private investigating look like a glamorous line of work. Though Farrah Fawcett's hair is pretty legendary in its own right, her outfits refuse to play second fiddle. Whether it’s glitzy club-wear or overalls with a preppy dash of plaid, the Angels have a fabulous outfit for any occasion or setting. In both swimwear and business suits, Kelly, Jill and Sabrina show us that all-white is actually perfect for sunny climates. Even all these years later, their shorts, jumpsuits and turtlenecks could still totally work today. While they are best known for fighting crime, Charlie's Angels are equally talented at blending high-fashion and practicality.

#7: Olivia Pope
"Scandal" (2012-18)

With the all the strict dress codes in DC, Olivia Pope has built an aesthetic based around tailored pants and blazers. Olivia's minimalist look favors unique cuts on neutral tones to perfectly fit her political role and high rank. She also uses a lot of oversized coats and regal patterns to signify her position of power in the White House. Small pops of color and Olivia's high stilettos allow her to follow conservative style-guides while still adding a noticeably feminine touch. Her looks actually proved popular enough to spawn two fashion lines. Olivia's sharp use of coats and pants reinvented how chic an office worker could look, while still commanding respect from her peers.

#6: Mary Richards
"The Mary Tyler Moore Show" (1970-77)

As a single woman in the working world, Mary Tyler Moore brought a female twist to her primarily male coworkers' outfits. Much of Moore's wardrobe consisted of pant suits and turtlenecks, which allowed her to look equally professional and stylish. Mary also pushed accepted boundaries for women in the 1970s with short skirts and - of all things - pants. This aesthetic was rebellious in small steps, and saw her wearing a lot of button-up shirts with sweaters too. The show’s clothing designer, Leslie Hall, has been since considered a trailblazer as Moore's looks were often ahead of their time. Mary not only inspired women to work, but also influenced office dress-codes when women were becoming a major part of the professional world.

#5: Rachel Green
"Friends" (1994-2004)

Rachel Green's memorable wardrobe on 'Friends' was practically a character in its own right. Her turtlenecks became a part of her trademark look, which blends casual and modern business aesthetics. This personal style would also result in a mix of formal skirts and tons of casual tees. As a waitress at Central Perk, Rachel wore a lot of black with skirts of all kinds. Throughout the seasons, Rachel's look evolved into more elegant cocktail dresses, as well as to some designer pieces as she moved up in the fashion industry. With so many iconic ensembles and a haircut that's become synonymous with her name, Rachel defined mix-and-match style across two decades.

#4: Miriam ‘Midge’ Maisel
"The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" (2017- )

Fitting with 1950s’ fashion trends, Midge Maisel wears a combination of long dresses and large coats. Embracing more vibrant colors however, Midge has a unique look that makes her stand out from her castmates, and most other TV leads for that matter. All these different hues highlight Midge's emotions and bring her to the foreground of any scene. Though Midge works in full dresses, her preppy hats and patterned bows further help to make her stand out. While Midge looks like an elegant housewife early in the show, her dresses grow increasingly extravagant as her career takes off. By adding bold shades to classic looks, Midge blurs the line between vintage and contemporary styles without feeling out of place in the 1950s.

#3: Betty Draper
"Mad Men" (2007-15)

While Don Draper became a retro touchstone for male fashion, Betty Draper matched him every step of the way. Betty's aesthetic was made up of modest housewife dresses, with intricate patterns and subtle details to spice them up. Betty wasn't afraid to try something sexy either, and would flaunt revealing dresses at parties if it suited her mood. Though she could be overdressed for grocery runs and picnics, her designer looks were captivating and timeless. Betty also rocked sunglasses and cigarettes with a touch of grit rarely seem from moms in the 1950s. Thanks to her uncompromising interpretation on traditional attire, Betty Draper remains one of the most fashion-forward moms on TV.

#2: Blair Waldorf
"Gossip Girl" (2007-12)

Though this Upper East Sider has the money to coordinate hundreds of outfits, she often ignores the rules of fashion - proving that Blair knows best. She has a knack for mixing different patterns that shouldn't work together, but always somehow manages to pull them off. No matter what color her handbag is, she always has a strange pair of shoes or hat to match it. Speaking of color, her tights are constantly switching between bright reds and intricate floral patterns. With a bow or patterned edges, there's rarely a schoolgirl that Blair can’t take to new heights with beautiful detailing. Waldorf effortlessly dons so many elegant looks on 'Gossip Girl' that there really isn't a scene she looks bad in.

Before we reveal our top pick, here are few honorable mentions.

Alexis Colby
"Dynasty" (1981-89)

Hilary Banks
"The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" (1990-96)

Aria Montgomery
"Pretty Little Liars" (2010-17)

Wilhelmina Slater
"Ugly Betty" (2006-10)

#1: Carrie Bradshaw
"Sex and the City" (1998-2004)

As soon as you see Carrie Bradshaw's tutu in the 'Sex and the City' intro, you know this is a fearless woman. Carrie stands out from the pack with unique accessories, like nameplate necklaces and a range of colorful flowers. Carrie also pushes the boundaries of party and everyday wear by taking stunning looks like her Galliano newsprint dress to the streets of New York. By using Manolo Blahnik to show she's equally stylish and confident, Carrie popularized niche brands too. Though Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte are all stylish in their own ways, Carrie is the most fashion-forward friend in their group. Through mixing unusual pieces and wearing them to places that seem taboo, Carrie is a style guru to women of all ages.
