Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we’re counting down our picks for nude or raunchy scenes actors enjoyed filming or didn’t think were a big deal. #10: No Regrets

“No Hard Feelings” (2023)

Few actors in Hollywood are more confident than Jennifer Lawrence. She’s only grown more fearless in recent years, stripping down on multiple occasions. The most outrageous example is this raunchy comedy. In a rather hilariously awkward scene, Lawrence’s Maddie goes skinny-dipping with her young love interest, Percy. Things get really uncomfortable when drunk teenagers try to steal their clothes and a naked Maddie jumps out to beat them up. If you thought it was a body double, think again! It’s all Lawrence. Despite concerns from her team and loved ones, the actress admittedly enjoyed filming this.

#9: Shameless

“Shame” (2011)

Baring it all on-screen can be tough, but for some actors, it’s no big deal - Michael Fassbender being one of them. In the 2011 erotic drama, where he teamed up with British director Steve McQueen, the actor’s naked body was filmed from multiple angles. Not regretting any part of this, Fassbender viewed going full-frontal as nothing unusual or even something to be bothered about. He even won some awards for his dedication to this role. Fassbender has since earned quite the reputation for his fearless display, proving that some actors are totally cool with going all in.

#8: Oliver Quick’s Naked Dancing

“Saltburn” (2023)

Emerald Fennell’s 2023 thriller is a true mind-bender where you never know what’s coming next. It ended in one of the wildest ways possible. In this unexpected finale, we see Barry Keoghan, who plays the shy Oliver, dancing completely naked in the Saltburn mansion, which now belongs to him. While some found the scene repulsive or unnecessary, Keoghan thought it was freeing, fun, and fitting for his character. He wasn’t embarrassed at all. He was impressed. But for us, we still don’t know what’s crazier: killing an entire family for their fortune or Keoghan’s naked dancing routine? Either way, it’s a lot to take in.

#7: Emma-Adam Intimate Scenes

“No Strings Attached” (2011)

Going by this romantic comedy’s “friends with benefits” setup, it’s only natural for the actors to end up in all kinds of kinky, half-naked positions. While the scenes between friends-turned-lovers Adam and Emma aren’t exactly explicit, they suggest a level of intimacy that could make any actor feel a little embarrassed or regretful. But Ashton Kutcher didn’t mind being naked; instead, he views it as a natural part of life. That said, despite being comfortable with nudity, his intimate scenes with a semi-naked Natalie Portman did feel kind of awkward to him. Even Portman felt slightly embarrassed. However, Kutcher admits he has a technique to shake off all that awkwardness, so the steamy scenes don’t become too uncomfortable for him.

#6: Nude Scene Revisited

“Brideshead Revisited” (2008)

In recent times, “Captain America” star Hayley Atwell has expressed frustration over the unnecessary nudity of women in films, even vowing not to participate in scenes that cater to some weird male fantasy. But early in her career, the British actress had her fair share of revealing moments, like in the 2010 miniseries “The Pillars of the Earth” and other lesser-known projects. In the historical drama “Brideshead Revisited,” where she played Julia Flyte, Atwell didn’t just showcase her natural body on-screen, she didn’t mind doing it either. In one sizzling scene, Julia and her lover, Charles find themselves entangled in a passionate moment. When asked about it later, Atwell told a German magazine that she found nude scenes to be liberating.

#5: Shasta-Doc Raunchy Scene

“Inherent Vice” (2014)

You might’ve forgotten the plot details of this unusual mystery-comedy set in the 70s, but there’s no forgetting the moment Doc Sportello’s hot ex-girlfriend makes a surprise return to his beach house. It’s one steamy moment that sees a naked Katherine Waterston tease Joaquin Phoenix’s character before getting spanked. A bit too much, right? But for Waterson, the experience was all positive. She felt it was only natural for her character to be that free with her lover, given their long, intimate history. In committing to her art, she felt no regret or nerve-wracking response while or after filming this raunchy one-shot sequence. She thought it was fun, just like going skinny-dipping with a friend.

#4: Peter Does the Full Marshall

“Forgetting Sarah Marshall” (2008)

We’ve seen Jason Segel do a lot in “How I Met Your Mother,” but full-frontal nudity wasn’t one of them. “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” didn’t have to worry about network censors, however. Right at the beginning, Peter, played by Segel, steps out of the shower and delivers a very flappy surprise, just to hear his girlfriend’s break-up bombshell. In shock, he lets the towel drop, leaving nothing to the imagination. It’s a shocking and unforgettable scene for anyone who’s seen it. For Segel, it was all about the laughs, and he nailed it! Interestingly, this famous break-up scene was inspired by his own real-life experience. No matter what anyone says, he truly defied expectations and that takes bravery.

#3: Little Nicky

“Gone Girl” (2014)

Blink and you might miss it! Yep! There’s a brief moment near the end of David Fincher’s “Gone Girl” where Ben Affleck’s naked front view flashes on-screen. It happens when a bloodied Amy Dunne returns home, and Nick Dunne is forced to strip naked just to listen to her chilling confessions. With Rosamund Pike also naked and covered in blood, it’s easy to miss Affleck’s big reveal while focusing on her. Though male nudity isn’t something common in Hollywood, Affleck had no regrets. He was more than happy to bear it all, even if it was just for a few seconds. He even joked about this in interviews and seems to have enjoyed the sneak peek he gave audiences.

#2: Ginger Knowles Topless

“Swordfish” (2001)

Halle Berry was already famous when she had her first on-screen nudity, so she could’ve easily turned it down if she wanted. The future Oscar winner chose not to only go topless in the 2001 high-tech heist film. She also felt it was necessary. In this much-talked-about scene, Hugh Jackman stumbles out of his mansion to find Berry sunbathing. She lowers a newspaper and casually reveals her breasts. Rumors flew that she was paid heavily for it, but the actress insists it was all about showing how confident and free her femme fatale character was with her body. She also felt great about taking that bold step since it prepped her for the explicit sex scene in “Monster’s Ball.”

#1: The Famous Trunk Scene

“The Hangover” (2009)

Todd Phillips’ comedy is one wild ride that gets more bizarre as three friends retrace their steps after a bachelor party in Vegas. Still, nothing prepared us for Ken Jeong’s epic naked-out-of-the-trunk scene. In this wild sequence, Phil, Stu, and Alan hear a thumping noise coming from their car trunk. When they open it, Mr. Chow leaps out and attacks them, completely naked. It’s awkward, it’s funny, and utterly outrageous. But Jeong had zero issues with baring it all. Not only did he have a blast filming this, he also came up with the idea. According to Jeong, he wanted to shock everybody and shock us, he certainly did. It’s not every day we get to see… never mind.
