Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we’re looking at the most thrilling and morphenomenal finales in the Rangers’ careers. Needless to say, there will be spoilers ahead. Which morphenomenal finale had you on the edge of your seat? Let us know in the comments.

#10: “The End”

“Power Rangers Cosmic Fury” (2023)

After 30 years, the main series has concluded in “Cosmic Fury’s” appropriately named finale, “The End.” A devastating energy wave threatens to wipe out all the forces of good in the universe. To stop it, the Rangers will have to do the most unexpected thing possible – make peace with Lord Zedd. Along with one of the highest stakes imaginable, the finale features several callbacks throughout the franchise. From characters such as Zedd and Billy to referencing the “In Space” finale, and the final scene paying tribute to the iconic catchphrase, “May the power protect you.” With the franchise’s future up in the air, the only way to describe this series finale is “cool, cool, coolio.”

#9: “The End of the Power Rangers”

“Power Rangers Wild Force” (2002)

Once Disney bought the series halfway through the season, “Wild Force’s” finale was intended to be the show’s final episode... and what a way to go out. Master Org has reached his full power and single-handedly backs the Rangers into a corner by destroying their Wildzords and their powers. He has free rein to obliterate the Earth, but the Rangers’ commitment as the planet’s guardians shines through, and they triumphantly end the Master’s terror once and for all. With their mission fulfilled, the Rangers are free to see where the road of life may lead them. Thankfully, with production moving to New Zealand, “The End of the Power Rangers” wasn’t truly the end after all.

#8: “Danger and Destiny”

“Power Rangers RPM” (2009)

In the final new episode of the Disney era, Venjix’s endgame has been unleashed – weaken Corinth’s defenses and attack the city with an army of hybrid sleeper agents, Dillon struggling to resist Venjix’s control. Worst of all, Venjix manages to hack into the Rangers’ biofield... and delete two of them from existence. Fortunately, even the “perfect” machine is no match for the human spirit, as the Rangers bring his tyranny to a crashing halt. At last, the nightmare is over and the world can finally heal again. However, while peace has been restored for now, the episode ends on a chilling cliffhanger that wouldn’t be resolved until many years later in “Beast Morphers.”

#7: “Thunder Struck”

“Power Rangers Dino Thunder” (2004)

Finally free of his “weak” human half, Mesogog puts the final phase of his plan into motion to return Earth to the Jurassic period. The Rangers put a halt on his scheme by reducing his fortress to dust, but end up sacrificing their Zords in an all-out brawl against Zeltrax. But they’re not done yet, as they’re put through the wringer in one last showdown against an empowered Mesogog. Ultimately, the Rangers emerge victorious by using every ounce of power they have left, and Reefside is finally safe from Mesogog’s madness. The episode ends with our heroes at the prom, reflecting on how much they’ve grown on a personal level, ready for life’s next curveball.

#6: “Endings”

“Power Rangers S.P.D.” (2005)

For the longest time, the B-Squad Rangers have doubted their place as Earth’s protectors. Those doubts are put to rest in the finale when they have to protect the city from the treacherous A-Squad, an army led by the opportunistic Broodwing, and a massive invasion by Emperor Gruumm. Despite the odds stacked against them, our heroes triumph over all three, and Commander Cruger emerges victorious over Gruumm in a one-on-one showdown. What’s arguably even better than the fighting is seeing how much Jack and Sky have grown since we first met them – Jack helping citizens on a smaller scale, and Sky earning his stripes as the Red Ranger as he always hoped for.

#5: “Chase Into Space”

“Power Rangers Turbo” (1997)

“Turbo” has been a very divisive season with fans, but it has one of the series’ most nail-biting, harrowing finales. Justin may have to leave the team, and the Rangers’ close allies must go to aid Zordon in a perilous war. If that weren’t bad enough, Divatox successfully destroys the Rangers’ weapons and Zords, and her army lays siege to the Power Chamber, reducing it to rubble. Thankfully, the Rangers survive, and follow Divatox into space to save Zordon, setting the stage for “In Space.” Despite “Turbo’s” flaws, the finale had us on the edge of our seats with a surprisingly bleak finale and a hopeful cliffhanger that left us begging for more.

#4: “Now The Final Fury”

“Power Rangers Jungle Fury” (2008)

Thanks to Casey’s determination, Jarrod is finally free from Dai Shi’s monstrous influence. Unfortunately, the unruly spirit isn’t done just yet, as he and his army unleash an all-out war on the city. Fortunately, our heroes have their own army – eight Rangers, an ensemble of Pai Zhuq Masters, and even Jarrod and Camille, all united for one epic martial arts display. Ultimately, our main trio shows how they’ve earned their stripes as Pai Zhuq Masters, and Jarrod and Camille – two former villains led astray by Dai Shi - redeem themselves, proving that it’s never too late to make a change. The best part of all, Theo finally asks out Lily! Seriously, that alone makes this finale worth it.

#3: “Journey's End”

“Power Rangers Lost Galaxy” (1999)

After accidentally fusing with the treacherous Deviot, Trakeena completely snaps and launches a full-scale attack on Terra Venture. The assault is nothing short of chilling – Trakeena strapping bombs onto her footsoldiers and even betraying her most loyal general. All the while, the citizens are forced to abandon the colony. The Rangers, however, stay behind to finally put an end to Trakeena’s terror in one last dramatic showdown, which ends with Leo extinguishing her at point-blank range. Following one of the series’ darkest and most destructive final battles, we all breathed a sigh of relief when our heroes and the colony got their happy ending, their long, difficult journey into space finally over.

#2: “The End of Time”

“Power Rangers Time Force” (2001)

“Time Force” was one of Saban’s most strongly written Ranger seasons, and the season finale is a heart-stopping, emotional roller coaster. Ransik unleashes a devastating robot that threatens the stability of all space and time, and Wes sends his futuristic teammates back to their time and stays to fight alone. The Rangers return to aid him, following his example of fighting fate to save the universe. While the battle ends peacefully with Ransik turning himself in, the episode ends bittersweetly with Wes and Jen finally confessing their love to each other before tearfully parting ways. While they would reunite in next year’s team-up, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house by the end of this emotional three-parter.

Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.

“One More Energem,” “Power Rangers Dino Charge” (2015)

Kendall Becomes the Purple Ranger, But an Even Bigger Threat Is Approaching

#1: “Countdown to Destruction”

“Power Rangers in Space” (1998)

With the show possibly ending, “In Space” pulled out all the stops to deliver an epic, emotional, heart-stopping high note. Every major villain from “Mighty Morphin” to “In Space” laying waste to the universe in a massive invasion, the citizens of Angel Grove helping the Rangers fight back the forces of evil, a heartwrenching conflict between brother and sister, and Zordon – the mentor for so many Ranger teams - sacrificing himself for the safety of the universe. With over five years in the making, this grand-scale finale marked the end of the Zordon era but ensured that the Power Rangers would thrive for many more years.
