VOICE OVER: Ashley Bowman WRITTEN BY: Alex Crilly-Mckean
So long, farewell, and never come back! Join Ashley as we count down our picks for the demises of anime characters that we were more than happen to see, as seen in series such as "Akame ga Kill", "Naruto", "Bleach, and more!

Script written by Alex Crilly-Mckean

#10: Chitose Kizuki

“My Hero Academia” (2016-)

Look, we’re not saying that Toga isn’t a complete basketcase, but it goes to show how loathsome this journalist is when we’re left rooting for a psychotic highschooler with a blood fetish. As an executive in the Meta Liberation Army, Kizuki believes in freedom for all Quirk users…and uses that as an excuse to explore her zealous curiously to the extreme. Even if that means bombing someone until she gets her truth. Her short appearance was lamentable enough to make people cheer when Toga gave her the scoop of the century…whilst also sending her plummeting to her death.

#9: Hades

“Fairy Tail” (2009-19)

One of the more prominent villains that Natsu has had to burn through over his tenure, Hades had the distinct honour of being utterly despicable from the get-go. Working behind the scenes to bring death and destruction to Fairy Tail, crippling Makarov, he trashed over the resident mages from every angle. That is until Laxus made his return, wasting the geezer for wounding his grandfather. Not only do we get to see Hades take a lightning headbutt to the face, but also blasted to pieces when Natsu unlocked Lightning Fire Dragon Mode. Sure, Zeref is the one to ultimately eradicate him, but it's the thought that counts!

#8: Celenike Icecolle Yggdimillenia

“Fate/Apocrypha” (2017)

Don’t let the bombshell looks fool you, Celenike is a sadistic scumbag who lives to torture those that irritate her, in the most gruesome of ways, of course. She’s also not one to shy away from using her own Servant as a means to satisfy her perverted cravings. Look, we all have unspoken urges towards Astolfo, but she takes it way too far! Thankfully, she got her competence when Saber of Red decided to remove her head from her shoulders!

#7: Wonderweiss

“Bleach” (2004-12)

Funny how the creature created to secure Aizen’s victory turned out to be the most annoying Arrancar to date. Born to suppress the overwhelming power of Yamamoto’s zanpakuto, Wonderweiss quickly established itself as an eyesore. An eyesore that just made braying sounds every time he’s on screen. We could have spent way more time with Harribel, Starrk or Ulquiorra, but instead we have to see this thing squawk about. At least Old Man Yamamoto put him in his place by breaking his body in half with fists alone.

#6: Sweyn

“Vinland Saga” (2019)

The power that comes with a crown is immense, too bad it also brings great arrogance, greed and paranoia. Determined to keep his position and wage his wars, Sweyn was willing to go to any and all lengths to have his youngest son eliminated. Going as far to threaten Askeland into joining his side by promising to bring death to his homeland of Wales if he doesn’t turn on Canute. Unfortunately, his majesty was unaware that he had just flipped Askeladd’s kill switch, resulting in a much-deserved decapitation!

#5: Clayman

“That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” (2018-)

Always thinking himself ten steps ahead, this would-be demon lord saw no consequence in arranging the destruction of Rimuru’s nation of hospitable monsters. Alas, he was very much unaware that his foe was an isekai character, who was definitely not above seeking revenge for his slaughtered citizens. For all his manipulations, Clayman fell at the final hurdle when he was forced to contend with the ridiculous power gap between himself and the sentient slime. Enjoy being digested for all eternity.

#4: Ali al-Saachez

Also in:

Top 10 Most Satisfying Deaths in Anime

“Mobile Suit Gundam 00” (2007-09)

The Gundam-verse has its fair share of psychopaths who profit on the deaths of others, but none are more heinous than this terrorist. Causing mayhem wherever he goes, not only did Al-Saachez help cultivate religious wackos, but was also responsible for causing numerous deaths among Celestial Being, including that of Lockon. Karma would eventually catch up with him though, when Lockon’s younger brother took up the mantle and avenged his sibling, hunting Al-Saachez down like a dog before ending things with a hail of bullets.

#3: Seryuu Ubiquitous

“Akame ga Kill!” (2014)

Reprehensible through and through, this elite member of the Jaegers pushes a sunny disposition, when in truth she thrives off the pain she causes when dispensing her own version of justice. This mentality allows her to justify all her actions, even when cruelly killing off your favourite members of Night Raid. If anything, her demise came too swiftly and should have brought with it a much greater reckoning, but at the very least she did end up getting blown to pieces. Even if it was by her own hand.

#2: Gabriel Miller

“Sword Art Online: Alicization” (2018-20)

Even among the pantheon of pitiful players that SAO plays host to, Miller outranks all of them. Yes, even the perverted Fairy King. Within the virtual world, masquerading as Subtilizer, Miller enforced countless killings of NPCs for both political and petty means. Whereas in the real world, it’s revealed that at some point in his past; he dabbled in child murder. Don’t ask us how the ghosts of his victims came back to drag him down into the abyss, all we can say is good riddance.

#1: Danzo Shimura

“Naruto” franchise (2002-17)

Forever in the shadows, maneuvering himself closer to power, Danzo is the worst of what the Hidden Leaf has to offer. Not only did he press Itachi into murdering his own family for the sake of peace, but went on to steal as many Sharingan as possible, artificially inserting them into his body! There was also a time he took over as Hokage, with every intention of steering the world towards his own grand vision, no matter who he had control or kill. Bitter and disillusioned, we felt no sympathy watching Sasuke literally bring the thunder to wipe him out for good.
