Go with it till it stops working. That pretty much sums up super heroines in black leather costumes. Black Canary is one of many heroes who wear black, and boy does she wear it well. Without doubt one of the hottest women in the DC Universe, Black Canary is typically found alongside Green Arrow, but has also fought alongside Batman and the Justice League aswell. Add in the fishnet stockings and leather jacket, and it’s clear that Black Canary has it going on in all the right places.

The epitome of the femme fatale, Talia al Ghul is one of Batman’s more prominent love interests, although she is just as likely to stab him as she is to kiss him. The daughter of Ra’s al Ghul, Talia is a highly skilled martial artist. She’s also incredibly intelligent, holding advanced degrees in business, engineering, and biology. Her looks and brains are sexy enough, but it’s the seductive accent that really gets to us. Plus, there’s just something about the name Talia. No wonder Batman can’t resist!

A member of the Teen Titans, Raven possess magic powers, including telekinesis, clairvoyance, and teleportation. She also has the ability to absorb the pain of injured people and heal others, meaning it pays to get on her good side. Of course, it’s her costume that people can’t get enough of. Although it certainly shows off her figure, it actually covers her body fairly well…that is, the upper half at least. The lower half leaves little to the imagination, something every comic book fan is thankful for.

Perhaps not as well-known as other characters on this list, Power Girl is Superman’s cousin, who comes from an alternate universe called Earth-Two. Biologically, she is the same person as Supergirl, although she is older and more, ehem, mature. As evident by her name, she is a strong, no nonsense woman, something that is incredibly sexy in its own right. She also is one of the bustier characters in all of comics, something she isn’t afraid to show off.

One of the sexiest aliens to appear in all of fiction, Starfire is one of the most desirable characters in the DC Universe. A princess from the planet Tamaran, Starfire was forced to flee her home planet to avoid being executed by her older sister. On Earth, she became a charter member of the Teen Titans, and ever since, comic book readers haven’t been able to take their eyes off her. Coming from a different culture, Starfire was never confined by the human standards of sexuality, as reflected by her outfit and overall attitude. For example, she can assimilate languages through physical contact, but chooses to do so by kissing because it is more fun.

Fishnets, top hat? Throw in some magic and you have the formula for an incredibly sexy character. Zatanna is a powerful magician and prominent member of the Justice League. Many different characters are understandably obsessed with her, including Batman, whom she has worked with on more than one occasion. She also works as a skilled illusionist, focusing primarily on sleight of hand tricks which are effective because, lets face it, nobody is looking at her hands.

It's just something about the crazy ones. This homicidal little bombshell has mirrored the theme of her long time love interest the Joker, by appearing in white face paint and heavy eye shadow. While she was first introduced in Batman: The Animated Series donning a jester costume, she has since evolved more revealing clothing that compliments her slim and petite figure. Her outfits always reflect her ditzy and unhinged demeanour, and while the Joker may not give her a second glance, we can’t take our eyes off the crazy.

Mother nature may have never looked this good. Thanks to a toxicology experiment gone wrong, former botanist Pamela Lillian can now literally use her beauty to kill. Upon inheriting her toxikenisis abilities, Poison Ivy can emit her own pheromones to seduce both men and women; rendering her incredible good looks unnecessary, but greatly apreciated. Pamela was a bombshell before her transformation, yet as Poison Ivy, she has an excise to clad herself in nothing but shrubbery.

Revealing costumes and exaggerated “features” does help sell female comic book characters, but the most attractive quality in a woman will always be her confidence. Wonder Woman effortlessly exudes this quality while representing that both strength and femininity are not only be synonymous but fairly appealing. The raven-haired warrior princess is always shown to have a well-muscled body, which not only helps her fill out her leotard remarkably, but kick some serious ass.

Selina Kyle's seduction skills rival that of any character in the DC universe, or any comic universe for that matter, and she slides easily into our top spot. She's almost always seen clad in a tight black leather bodysuit that not only keeps her mobile, but makes it awfully hard to keep your eyes off of her. Like the Dark Knight, Catwoman works alone and can be incredibly hard to read, adding some mystery to the anti-hero's appeal.
