These are the celebrities who appeared on Degrassi before they got famous! Chaz Bono, Billy Ray Cyrus Perez Hilton, Davon Bostick, Keke Palmer, Shay Mitchell, Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, Billy Ray Cyrus, Pete Wentz, Casadee Pope, Drake, Nina Dobrev have all been on at least one episode. Though they may only have had a small role in the series, we certainly didn't forget them!
Top 10 Stars You Forgot Appeared on Degrassi Blink and you might miss them. Welcome to MsMojo and today we're counting down our picks for the Top 10 Stars You Forgot Appeared on Degrassi. For this list, we'll be looking at the most memorable celebrity appearances on this long running Canadian franchise. We’ve excluded actors who went on to become celebrities like Drake and Nina Dobrev, because everyone knows that's where the rapper and “Vampire Diaries” star got their start!

#10: Natasha Bedingfield "We Built This City"

“Degrassi” may be a show that deals with very real issues, some of its situations are definitely out of the ordinary, much like the sheer volume of celebrities that visit their school (with this list as proof). When Liberty’s essay wins a radio station contest, pop singer Natasha Bedingfield comes to perform at their prom as a prize. That's right, instead of a band or a terrible DJ, their high school gets a celebrity to show up. If only this was more common in real life, then maybe more kids would care about their education.

#9: Taking Back Sunday “What's It Feel Like to Be a Ghost? Part Two”

The band is in town to play a gig (because there’s never not someone famous around) and Ellie has been given the chance to interview them for an article. Lead singer Adam Lazzara is super friendly and introduces the rest of the band to her. Craig shows up and the group offers to play with him. But the best thing to come from this cameo is that Adam also appeared in a minisode that season where, in an alternate universe, he marries Emma’s mom instead of Archie. Hilarity ensues.

#8: Devon Bostick Various Episodes

Before taking on the role of Jasper on the TV show, “The 100,” Devon Bostick had a recurring role as Nic, an obnoxious student from Degrassi’s rival, Lakehurst, who’s often credited with starting the war between the two schools. He used to date Mia before she transferred to Degrassi from Lakehurst, which explains his rivalry with J.T., her new boyfriend. He can be seen verbally and physically abusing students throughout Season 6. Jasper may be obnoxious in his own way, but nothing beats the dislike we had for Nic.

#7: Perez Hilton "Degrassi Goes Hollywood" (2009)

“Degrassi” is known for its controversial storylines, so what better celebrity to have guest star than the man who practically invented the word “scandal”? Blogger and TV personality Perez Hilton appeared briefly as himself during the “Degrassi Goes Hollywood” movie. In it, Perez writes an article praising Paige for being an up-and-coming star due to her role in Jason Mewes’ new movie. However, Paige later runs into him in L.A. after being fired from the project, and he disses her, dubbing her “yesterday’s news.”

#6: Chaz Bono “Tonight, Tonight Part Two”

Chaz appears as himself as a celebrity judge for a Battle of the Bands competition, and there’s definitely a reason they chose him for the part. After the introduction of the show’s first transgender character in Season 10, no cameo could have been more significant than Chaz Bono’s. Just as Adam acted as a character trans viewers could relate to on the show, it was nice for him to get the chance to speak to someone he (and many others in the Trans Community) consider a role model.

#5: Pete Wentz "Degrassi Goes Hollywood" (2009)

Top 10 Times Pete Davidson Broke on SNL

Remember that time Pete Wentz appeared on “One Tree Hill” and tried to date Peyton? Well, way before that legendary cameo, the Fall Out Boy bass player was another celebrity that had a brief role in “Degrassi Goes Hollywood.”Ellie casually runs into Craig in L.A. while he’s hanging out with Pete and his friend, Cassadee Pope, the lead singer of the band Hey Monday. Not only did Craig introduce the musicians to his friend, but he also introduced them to the wonder that is ketchup chips.

#4: Billy Ray Cyrus "The Power of Love"

Has there ever been a prom at Degrassi that’s gone off without a hitch? Probably not, since it is a drama. In Season 3, things start going south before the characters can even arrive at prom. Jimmy accidentally hires a beat-up limo driven by Billy Ray Cyrus – well, not actually Billy Ray, but a character named Duke who’s played by him. Subpar limo aside, Duke doesn’t even get them to prom as he’s arrested for unpaid parking tickets. However, he does ask that the police drive the kids to prom, because he puts customer satisfaction first. Uh, okay then…

#3: Kevin Smith & Jason Mewes Various Episodes

Top 10 Kevin Conroy Batman Moments

It’s a bit harder to forget these two when their appearance on the show spanned 5 episodes and a made-for-TV movie that acted as the Season 8 finale. The two show up at Degrassi to film a new movie in the Jay and Silent Bob franchise, even casting the students as actors. Jason inappropriately falls for Manny, while Kevin crushes on Caitlin, an original character from the first generation of the series. There’s even a hilarious, yet slightly cringe-worthy, cameo by Alanis Morissette in Kevin and Jason’s film.

#2: Shay Mitchell “Up Where We Belong”

Um… is this “Degrassi” or an episode of “Pretty Little Liars?” That’s right, the model who talks to Nina Dobrev’s character during a photo shoot is none other than Shay Mitchell, aka Emily Fields. This was actually Shay’s first significant role as an actress, from a time before she was gracing our TV screens on a weekly basis. She may have less than a minute of screen time, but hey, at least she looks happy, carefree, and not being tormented by the evil “A” for a change. Before we reveal our favorite celebrity appearance, here are a few honorable mentions. Stephen Amell “Ghost in the Machine”
Vivica A. Fox "Degrassi Goes Hollywood" (2009)
Cassadee Pope "Degrassi Goes Hollywood" (2009)

#1: Keke Palmer “Boom Boom Pow”

If you came face to face with a celebrity, would you recognize them? You might think so, but Sav definitely didn’t pick up on the fact that the girl flirting with him was none other than singer-slash-actress Keke Palmer. They ended up dating for a bit and she even invited him to perform with her on stage at her show. In the end, their lives were too dissimilar, and they parted ways as friends. Fans will always remember Keke as the one that got away, because let’s be honest, they belonged together.
