Top 10 Things in Call of Duty Warzone Nobody Notices

Top 10 Things in Call of Duty Warzone Nobody Notices
VOICE OVER: Riccardo Tucci WRITTEN BY: Alex Slade
Keep your eyes peeled or you might just miss them! For this list, we're looking at gameplay elements, easter eggs, or secrets players may have yet to discover in Call of Duty Warzone. Our countdown includes "Cash Multipliers for Contracts", "Ammo Refills", "Executions", and more!

#10: Classic Map Locations

Verdansk is big; big enough to house one hundred and fifty players. Thankfully, it’s not just all grassland and hills. Players are lucky enough to play in altered versions of their favorite maps from past Call of Duty titles. These map variations are spread out, and are integrated so well, that you might not even notice them. For them to work within Verdansk, structural and weather changes were made. Scrapyard is reworked into Boneyard, Vacant makes an appearance in Port, and even the ferris wheel from ‘All Ghillied Up’ makes an appearance.

#9: Get Kills While Parachuting

We all know you can let go of your parachuting while dropping to swoop down faster and land ahead of the competition, but if you’re feeling lucky, you can whip out your pistol and try to get some free kills before you even land. This is particularly useful when you notice people doing long drops. They tend to float down casually to their destination across on the other side of the map. You can dive in right behind them to shoot them in the back. It may take a while to get used to, but you should eventually be good enough where you can manage to score a kill every game.

#8: Throwing Rocks in the Gulag

The Gulag is a great way to test your one v one skills. It’s also a chance at coming back to the Warzone if you bite the dust; that is, unless a stray rock hits you in the head and you die. If you’re skilled enough, your rock throwing skills can be put to good use. If you’re watching two players run laps around each other and get bored as a spectator, try your luck at throwing a rock at a planted C4 or claymore. You’ll have to time it right, as well as have your accuracy on-point. If you’re successful, you’ll have the dead player never put equipment down in the Gulag again.

#7: Ammo Refills

We can purchase the munitions box from the buy station, or you can find it in supply boxes, but what you may not have realized is that certain buildings have free ammo refills within them. Take the police station, for example. There just so happens to be a nice pile of bullets for you to stock up on. This is helpful if you’ve dropped in from the Gulag or have just been bought back, as it allows you to drop on a loadout and have a source to fully load up on ammo if you haven’t got the Fully Loaded perk.

#6: Cash Multipliers for Contracts

Contracts are an easy way to stack up on cash. Recon’s pay the lowest, but give you an insight into the next circle, Scavengers give you a decent pay and the chance at scoring extra cash with each box you find, and Bounties pay you the most, but are the riskiest to attempt. Regardless of what contract you pick up, the more you do, the greater your payout it is upon completion. Do a lot in quick succession, and you’ll be earning enough to purchase your loadout, UAV, and self-revive before anyone else.

#5: Telephones

It’s not often you’ll get a chance to pick up the phone and start dialing when you’re in the middle of a battle, but if you’re in the right locations, there are phones that you’re able to interact with… although you can’t get through to anyone. We aren’t sure what they do yet, but we think they may be part of a bigger mystery. Maybe all phones have to be interacted with at once… or maybe all the phone lines are just dead because the country is in ruin and people are dying all over the place?

#4: Look in Third Person While Parachuting

While switching back and forth between first and third-person may be a crutch in other battle royales, it’s not a feature in Warzone… unless you’re in the air. Deciding where to drop is as crucial as any other move in the game, and it helps to know how contested the area truly is. You’re able to switch to third-person while gliding down, giving you a greater field of view, and allowing you to see just how many people are going to drop nearby and try to take you down. Just make sure you remember to look where you’re going so you don’t end up in the water or out of bounds.

#3: Executions

If you think it’s satisfying getting the drop on an enemy and riddling them with bullets, why not take it the next step and perform a cinematic, third-person view execution? While it won’t be often in Warzone that you’ll get to sneak up on someone, you’ll still be able to perform an execution by holding in the melee button. There are many different variations, and you can even enlist the help of a canine friend to rip someone’s throat out. Hey, we never said these were going to be PG.

#2: Self-Revive Progress Carries Over

Self-revive is a must purchase - after a loadout, that is. It’s amazing to have when you’re being downed at long ranges, as it gives you a chance to crawl to cover and pick yourself back up again. If you wanted to save it, and give your buddy a chance to pick you up, you can make it a bit easier for them by initiating the self-revive process. It shares the same counter to completion as a regular revive, which means you can revive yourself ninety percent of the way, and your friend can just tap you on the shoulder, and up you get.

#1: Computers

Remember how we said the phones may be part of a bigger mystery? Well, these computers may be another part. Scattered throughout Verdansk are desktops and laptops that prompt you to enter in a password, only no one knows what the passwords are. Alongside the phones and computers, are twelve hidden bunkers, each with their own control panel to interact with, yet, just like the computers, no one has managed to enter them yet. What could the mystery be? Is possible players can activate a nuke in Warzone? Are there story elements going to be updated to the game at a later date? Only time will tell.
