Top 10 Times Eren Yeager Went Beast Mode

#10: Disarming the Armored Titan
A heavyweight showdown against the traitor he considered a big brother, this was an uphill battle that displayed that even when outgunned, Eren’s desire for vengeance and sheer will can make up the difference. While Reiner’s impervious defense and killer sucker punches make short work of Eren’s flimsy fame, some quick thinking and flexibility allowed for the Attack Titan to entrap his bulky foe in one hell of a stranglehold. If not for some colossal intervention, Reiner might not have made it back to Marley.
#9: Finishing the Female Titan
Seems to be a trend with Eren - every time there’s a rematch, he comes back swinging harder, and this battle inside the walls is no exception. Dead set on tearing apart Annie following her betrayal, Eren goes berserk, not only crushing everything under foot, but taking the Female Titan apart piece by piece. His bloodlust gets so intense that his Titan form is set ablaze, allowing him to overpower Annie to such an extent she’s left out of commission for nearly three seasons!
#8: Killing Kidnappers
Even before he joined the Survey Corp, Eren had a kill count. And no, we’re not talking about Grisha. With Mikasa taken and set to be sold into slavery, her boy rescuer leaps into action to save her…by cutting down the first kidnapper he sees with zero hesitation. Seriously, he straight up stabs the guy like he’s been doing it his entire life. Only to then encourage Mikasa to find her courage and continue to live…by having her do the same. It’s a bloody start to a relationship that would forever be bound by slaying others.
#7: The Scream
While hindsight would blanket this exchange with an extra layer of tragedy, by itself, the moment when Eren unleashes the power of the Founding Titan for the first time is monumental. With a single scream, Eren turns a horde of wild Titans into his personal attack dogs, setting them against the Titan that killed his mother in a gruesome display of anguish and revenge. He may not have realized what he had just done, but it’s an emotional tour de force nonetheless.
#6: Detonating Rod Reiss
How do you bring down a hulking mass of flesh that soaks up damage like a sponge? Well, if you’re Eren, you grab as many explosives as possible, and shove it down their gullet to blow up their nape from the inside. As the focal point of the plan to bring down the transformed Rod Reiss, Eren does the heavy lifting by tossing in gunpowder into the beast’s maw, whilst also taking the full brunt of the subsequent explosion. Taking this thing down might have been a team effort but Eren more than held his own!
#5: The Boulder
One of Eren’s most heroic exploits, back when he was plugging up holes in walls as opposed to smashing them apart. After finally taking control of his Titan form, Eren goes all out to complete his mission and plug the hole allowing the roaming Titans to slip on through, all the while carrying a massive boulder by his lonesome. The scene swells thanks to the hype music combined with Eren’s inner monologue on how everyone has and should fight to ensure a place in the world. No one hurls rocks quite like he does.
#4: Conquering the Colossal Titan
With its immense size and ability to unleash bursts of searing steam, the Colossal Titan was thought invincible, something that not even Eren at full strength could hope to take out. Which was what made this sudden win all the more incredible. While Armin gives his life to keep Bertholdt and his flames at bay, Eren launches the mother of all surprise attacks, ripping his former friend from his fleshy ivory tower with a single strike. It’s so perfectly executed, so cathartic, and demonstrated that Eren’s strength comes from more than just his Titan form.
#3: Devouring the War Hammer Titan
Aaaaand this was when Eren showed that in order to keep moving forward, he was willing to cross all lines and embrace the monster within. After laying siege to Marley, Eren doesn’t hesitate to take the power of the War Hammer Titan for himself. How so? By using the Jaw Titan to crack open its shell, shattering the user inside, and gulping down their bloody remains. It’s a truly gruesome sight, serving as a reminder that this isn’t the same Eren we knew back on Paradis.
#2: Reaching Zeke
Eren’s determination might just be the most powerful thing in this series! On route to Zeke so they can activate the power of the Founding Titan, Eren overcomes an entire gauntlet and then some! Jaw Titan? Smashes it to pieces. Armored Titan? Ensnares it in a trap before making a run for it. Getting his head blown clean off by Gabi as she snipes him down with a rifle? The mad bastard somehow manages to land in the palm of Zeke’s hand. Even when on the edge of death, nothing can stop this Chad!
#1: The Founding Titan Unleashed
Well, the mad lad did it. Following on from the haunting revelation in regards to the Founder Ymir's past, Eren sets his endgame into motion. With their combined outrage of the last two thousand years of abuse and trauma, Ymir surrenders her powers to Eren. What's the result? The Rumbling, that's what. Now in full control of millions of Colossal Titans, as well as assuming a ginormous new form, Eren makes his intentions crystal clear - he's going to protect his home and those he cares for...by trampling over the rest of the world until every last life is extinguished. Whether you consider him a full-on villain or not, there's no denying this is a power play beyond any other.
