Top 10 Undefeated Anime Villains

For this list, we'll be looking at the antagonists in anime that managed to remain undefeated up until their end. Keep in mind, we'll still be including characters that ended up being killed by deus ex bullshit circumstances, just as long as they managed to remain victorious against all other series' characters. We'll be going into spoiler territory here, so watch out!
#10: Lord Darcia III
“Wolf’s Rain” (2003)
Even as his body burned away at the gates of paradise, this psychotic aristocrat singlehandedly managed to corrupt the new world Kiba and the others had worked so hard for. And that’s after he tore apart our favourite wolves with his bare teeth. Whether he’s dressed as a man or assuming the guise of a ghastly beast, Darcia managed to foil everyone’s hopes for a happy ending when he started ripping out the throats of our fluffy heroes with insane glee. No matter how many times the world gets reset to zero, Darcia’s stain ensures that his evil will live on.
#9: SERN
"Steins;Gate" (2011)
The mysterious organisation that have a monopoly on time-travel, you can bet they weren't too happy about the likes of Okabe when he discovered how to send messages to the past, and thus change time to his liking. Along with their task force of average joe mercenaries known as the Rounders, they easily succeeded in their mission, even putting a bullet in Mayuri in the process. Okabe may have managed to change things up thanks to jumping across various timelines, but its fair to say that SERN are far from out of the game, After all, its been established they reach casts a shadow over countless alternative worlds.
#8: Itsuki
“Yu Yu Hakasho” (1992-94)
There’s no replacing the awesomeness that was Shinobu Sensui, but by the end of his bloody conflict with Yusuke, the only villain left standing was actually his most loyal follower. Devoted to Sensui and all of his personalities, the Gatekeeper happily kept the likes of Hiei, Kurama and Kuwabara at bay while his master took on the Spirit Detective. Despite resigning himself to spend the rest of his life caring for Sensui’s corpse, there’s no denying that Itsuki remained undefeated in his time as a servant.
#7: Beerus
“Dragon Ball Super” (2015-18)
Nowadays, we choose to view this God of Destruction as something of a comic relief figure who just so happens to have the power to annihilate planets with a tap of his fingers. However, we can’t forget that in his debut, he was pretty much dead set on blowing up the Earth if he wasn’t appeased. Even the power of a Super Saiyan God couldn’t manage to stop him. Honestly, the only reason everyone is still alive is thanks to his growing interest in Earth’s food and Goku’s enduring spirit.
#6: Yubel
“Yu-Gi-Oh! GX” (2004-08)
If you’re asking us, we’d say that this monster card ended up getting a pretty sweet deal after her run as a villain came to a close. Originally a demonic Duel Monster looking to steal Jaden all for herself, Yubel was all too happy to manipulate, deceive and discard any humans who she saw as obstacles. Even when she took on Jaden himself in a duel, she ended up coming out of it with what she had always wanted; his love. Since, you know, they suddenly merged souls. No matter how you look at it, she totally got to spirit bang her crush.
#5: The Chairman
“Kaiji” (2006-07; 2011)
Perverse in his pleasures and all too eager to finance those willing to harm themselves for his entertainment, the Chairman was the creepy mastermind who ensured that Kaiji and the rest of the debt-ridden losers of the world suffered as much as possible. As a master cheater, he taught Kaiji a lesson about greed when he ended up costing him all his money as well as fingers. Even when Kaiji got his own back by besting the Chairman’s rigged pachinko machine, it was no skin off his nose, he just forced his subordinates into labour camps until they paid him back the amount lost. It’s a shame such a disgusting man is truly untouchable.
#4: Rustal Elion
“Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans” (2015-17)
As much as we would have loved to have seen Mikazuki and the rest of Tekkadan wipe that smug look off his face, the one standing atop the piles of bodies at the end of this bloody mecha conflict was non-other than Master Rustal. He outmanoeuvred McGillis, destroyed Tekkadan’s forces, and even managed to take hold of Gjallarhorn as its new undisputed leader. He may have come close to losing the game several times over, but this slippery snake was always a step ahead of the rest. Doesn’t mean that Julieta had to make it to the end though…
#3: Altair
“Re:CREATORS” (2017)
Who would have thought that an entity from a music video would be able to cause such chaos? After her creator’s suicide, this Military Uniform Princess’s grief was so strong that she managed to bring reality and fiction together, all in the hopes of wrecking everyone else’s shit. And it’s not like she didn’t have the power to do so. Not even characters from manga, television, video games and everything in-between could stop her spree of destruction. The only reason she stopped her deadly crusade was after her creator was brought back to her.
#2: Madara Uchiha
“Naruto Shippuden” (2007-17)
Keep in mind, we’re talking about the resurrected Madara in this instance, the one brought back to life by Kabuto to serve as a weapon in the Fourth Great Ninja War. In the space of a single battle, he managed to wreck the majority of the Allied Shinobi’s army by himself, clashed with and subsequently defeated the other Kage, became the new Sage of the Six Paths, and even managed to summon the Ten Tailed Beast. We can’t think of a plan that went smoother! And no, we aren’t counting Black Zetsu’s attack as a defeat. We’re still partially convinced it and Kaguya were some kind of genjutsu.
#1: Meruem
“Hunter x Hunter” (2011-14)
If the King of Chimera Ants had taken on Gon in his untamed, adult form, then maybe this would have gone better. Considering he fades out of existence way before then, we’re still stating that Meruem remains the series’ undefeated champion. He took on the likes of Netero and managed to brush off every Nen-based attack sent his way, even taking the Poor Man’s Rose right to the face. He just kept on trucking…at least until he died of poisoning ages later. But hey, still last ant standing!
