Top 10 Video Game Characters We Wish We Could Have Killed

You can’t live with them, you can’t live without them, and you certainly can’t kill them! Welcome to WatchMojo.com and today we’ll be counting down our picks for top 10 video game characters we wish we could have killed.

For this list, we’re looking at These are those characters that annoy us the most, whether because of their attitude or bizarre voice, but for some reason or another, we just can’t kill them!

#10: Mayor MacCready

“Fallout 3” (2008)

Raising a child in the wake of a nuclear Fallout is tricky. Instead of focusing on raising a well-rounded individual, the focus shifts to just staying alive. It is this environment that created the monster that is Robert Joseph MacCready. At just 10 years old he is made the Mayor of Little Lamp Light, a town made up entirely of kids, and the power goes straight to his head. He is actually a good mayor but that overaggressive attitude, his potty mouth, and high-pitched voice make you want to aim a fat man at his face!

#9: Martin Madrazo

“Grand Theft Auto V” (2013)

As the leader of a ruthless Mexican drug cartel Martin Madrazo is extremely powerful, wealthy and a complete psychopath. Besides being a screaming angry lunatic, he also treats Patricia, his sweet wife, like absolute garbage and openly has affairs with other women. With all the killing you get to do it’s a shame that you can’t off this glorified bully.

#8: Nelkir

“The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” (2011)

You’d think that being the Dragon Born would grant you some degree of respect but to the children of Balgruuf the Greater, Jarl of Whiterun, you are less than dirt. His son Nelkir is the worst offender. He’s a real spoiled brat, and you get the sense that his rudeness extends far beyond the passing comments he makes about the Dragon Born, as you can hear rumors spreading about the Jarl’s children at the Bannered Mare.

#7: Mr. Resetti

“Animal Crossing” series (2001-)

Anyone who’s played Animal Crossing has had a run-in, or twelve, with this angry little mole. If you exit the game without saving this guy will pop up and give you a nice long lecture about saving. Animal crossing is an innocent light-hearted game so murder isn’t an option. Many people praise Mr.Resetti’s role in the game since it breaks the fourth wall but we wish this wall would have stayed up.

#6: Navi

“Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time” (1998)

We thought it would be impossible to hate a tiny little fairy until we met Navi. Navi was sent to you by the Great Deku Tree to help on your quest. She has good intentions, like trying to keep you safe and giving hints, but she goes a little overboard. Her vocabulary consists of about 5 words which she repeatedly screams at you throughout the game, non-stop. The game obviously doesn’t give you the chance to murder Navi but would a muzzle or a glass jar be too much to ask?

#5: Slippy Toad

“Star Fox 64” (1997)

This high flying toad may just have the most annoying voice of any video game character ever. He sounds like Elmo on helium and effectively makes your ears bleed. He may be a mechanical genius but he’s a complete liability in battle, constantly managing to get himself in danger and screaming at you for help. Apparently, he is a necessary part of the team but we’re pretty sure we could get by without him if there was a friendly fire incident. If only he could find a way to weaponize his voice than Fox would be unstoppable.

#4: Solas

“Dragon Age: Inquisition” (2014)

In elvish Solas translates to “pride” which perfectly describes this arrogant mage. Solas is extremely intelligent and philosophical and he likes to flaunt it. Some people say he’s just misunderstood but we think he has a superiority complex. If you say something he disagrees with he gets nasty and insults your intelligence. When other companions disagree with you they just swear at you but Solas makes it personal. He also looks like an Elven Voldemort which doesn’t help his likeability. There is a romance option for female elven Inquisitors but unfortunately, there is no murder option.

#3: G Man

“Half-Life” series (1998-2007)

There are many questions surrounding the mysterious nature that is the G Man. We don’t know what he wants with Gordon Freeman, we don’t know who he is or even what he is. All we do know for certain is that he is one creepy dude with his sickly pale face and eyes that peer into your soul. He is also known for his long-winded monologues and his creepy voice which inspires the homicidal tendencies in all of us. If there ever is another Half-Life game hopefully we can finally get our hands on his scrawny neck.

#2: Mr. Jefferson

“Life is Strange” (2015)

This game really knows how to make unlikeable characters and Mr. Jefferson is the prime example. For one he is a psychopathic killer who manipulates you into liking him. He seemed charming but you see his true personality when you discover he was drugging and kidnapping students to take creepy photographs of them. When he’s in killer mode he rants and screams and is anything but charming.

#1: Dog

“Duck Hunt” (1984)

This little guy has become quite an icon in the world of gaming but that doesn’t mean we don’t want to shoot him. For many of us, he was the first video game character we truly hated because he breaks the fourth wall to mock us. If you go a round of Duck Hunt without hitting a single duck, this dog will pop-up and snicker at you. Luckily in the arcade version, you can shoot the dog, which doesn’t kill him, but it does cover his face in gunpowder and gives him a set of crutches.
