Just because you're famous doesn't mean that you won't be the target, or instigator, of some pretty terrible harassment. Here our list of Top 5 Worst Cases of Celebrity Cyber Bullying. We've included celebrities like Tom Daly, Lena Dunham, Leslie Jones, Donald, Trump, Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna.

#5: Lena Dunham

The actress and writer had to step away from various social media platforms back in 2015 after Internet trolls went on an all-out hate/shame-fest, particularly over a photo of her dressed in men’s boxers and a sports bra. She said in an interview that the vitriolic discussions and misogynistic comments about the bodies of women became too much. She went as far as to hire someone else to deal with her social media for her, and claimed to not even know her Twitter password.

Bringing deceased loved ones into your harassment is a whole different level. Back in 2012, just after his final dive at the London Olympics, Tom Daley began to receive really hideous messages over Twitter concerning his father – who had died the year before. The angry and abusive troll ranted that he was a disappointment to his father and his country. Later, other trolls would continue to make insulting and homophobic remarks about Tom and his diving partner Pete Waterfield. Talk about some really bad sportsmanship.

#3: Leslie Jones

Not everyone was a fan of the Ghostbusters reboot, and those haters were very vocal about their displeasure. But things got especially nasty for actress Leslie Jones. In an effort to bring to light just how much hatred she was receiving, she unblocked her trolls and shared their comments with her followers. The incident shocked many, and proved just how vile a place the Internet can be. However, shortly after her stand, she decided to briefly leave Twitter, citing that it was just getting to be too much.

#2: Rob Kardashian & Blac Chyna

Apparently disregarding the hurt that a similar act had caused his sister Kim, in July 2017, Rob Kardashian went to social media to rant about and post naked pictures of Blac Chyna. The spark for the flame war was a video of Chyna kissing another man. Rob reacted with attempts to shame her at all quarters: nude photos, allegations of drug use, weight shaming and surgery – you name it. The ensuing legal drama has led Rob to admit that he will now seek counseling to help avoid any such future outbreaks.

#1: Donald Trump

While we could expand this to any one of the many crude and offensive things he has said or done publicly, we’re sticking to his active Twitter feed. In June 2017, Trump lashed out at MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Mika Brzezinski. The President of the United States took time out of his busy schedule to deride the shows rating, and then go on a tirade about Ms. Brzezinski’s intelligence, mental stability, and appearance – making a mocking and unnecessarily gruesome comment about alleged plastic surgery. The tweet briefly united many, saying the comment was crude and unbecoming. Sadly, that’s par for the course for President Trump. Do you agree with our list?
