The Dwarf Gets His Due!
We all remember Varric, right? How he was the best thing to come out of Dragon Age II and made for the perfect travelling companion in Dragon Age Inquisition? You may recall that aside from being the king of banter and an impressive marksman in his own right, he was also a published author. Among his many literary works, his most famous was the gritty detective thriller known as Hard in Hightown. The games made frequent mention of it being a best-seller and a damn good read at that.
As it happens, we will get to judge that for ourselves, since its actually being published later this year!

Varric Tethras, a chest-haired dwarf with a dry sense of humor, is a beloved character in the Dragon Age series. In the world of Thedas, he’s also a successful author, due to his novel Hard in Hightown. Now, his work of fiction is getting a real-life release.
Thanks to publishers Dark Horse Books and Penguin Random House, Hard in Hightown will soon be readable in its entirety for $20. The illustrated novel is just under a hundred pages, telling a crime thriller tale about rival cult factions in Kirkwall, a city most Dragon Age 2 fans are familiar with.
