Top 10 Hottest Male Stars Of 2018

Let’s just call 2018 the year of THIRST. Welcome to MsMojo and today we’ll be counting down our picks for the top ten hottest male stars of 2018. For this list, we’ll be choosing male celebrities that had us blushing the most this year, whether it was from the screen, stage or red carpet.

#10: Bradley Cooper

When he’s not voicing a talking space rodent, Bradley Cooper graces cinema screens with his actual body and face. In 2018, he made his directorial debut with “A Star Is Born,” which he also co-wrote and starred in opposite Lady Gaga. This is the fourth time that this classic story of fame and heartbreak has been told, and is currently the most critically acclaimed version too. Bradley also went the extra mile in regards to the musical elements of the film, in which he and Gaga sing live. “He sings from his gut,” the popstar told Vogue. “I don’t think there are a lot of people in Hollywood who can.” Talk about a triple threat!

#9: Ryan Reynolds

From Deadpool to Detective Pikachu, Ryan Reynolds sure loves depriving us of his actual appearance. We’ve always known Ryan has great comedic timing and a hilariously foul mouth, which is why he was the perfect casting choice for Marvel’s Merc With The Mouth. (No, we’re not talking about you, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”… ) The highly anticipated sequel to the first “Deadpool” movie was released in May 2018 following a spate of killer marketing videos and a musical collaboration with superstar, Celine Dion. Ryan also continues to be the king of social media, whether he’s trolling his fellow Marvel star, Hugh Jackman, or his own wife, actress Blake Lively. (Who gives as good as she gets.)

#8: Chadwick Boseman

2018 has definitely been Chadwick Boseman’s year. After playing a string of real-life historical figures, like Thurgood Marshall in “Marshall,” Jackie Robinson in “42” and soul superstar James Brown in “Get On Up,” Chadwick joined the MCU in 2016’s “Captain America: Civil War” as a fictional person: King T’Challa of the made-up African nation of Wakanda. Secretly, T’Challa is also super-suited superhero, Black Panther, and at the start of 2018, the character got his own solo film, which was not only ridiculously successful, but gave Chadwick a chance to show he didn’t need James Brown’s dance moves to get his swagger on. Come Oscar season, we’re hoping Chadwick - and the film - cleans up.

#7: KJ Apa

You know this tall, dark and handsome New Zealand actor best as the red-headed heartthrob of the CW’s “Riverdale.” (FYI, that dye-job took 10 hours, so you can’t say he’s not committed to his work!) KJ Apa has been playing the Archie Comics’ character, Archie Andrews since 2017 alongside the equally handsome Cole Sprouse. Together, they’ve helped the show continue to be a ratings smash going into its third season. When KJ’s not on our television screens, he’s showing off his ever-growing tattoo collection on Instagram, serenading fans with his guitar skills and hanging out with more dogs than people. We can relate!

#6: Chris Hemsworth

The God of Thunder and the god of our hearts. Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth rose to prominence when he was cast as Marvel’s Thor in 2011. Five movies later, and he’s become the heaviest hitter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after getting a serious power-up in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War.You just can’t keep an Asgardian prince down. Chris hasn’t been resting on his Marvel laurels, though. This year he swapped his golden locks for a ‘70s-style ‘stache for Drew Goddard’s “Bad Times At The El Royale,” proving his versatility as an actor. But, don’t worry MCU fans, he’ll be back for more Thanos-smashing action for the much-hyped sequel to Infinity War in early 2019.

#5: Henry Golding

Henry Golding has had quite the breakout year. Before he became a “crazy, rich Asian,” you might have recognized him from the BBC’s “The Travel Show,” which the British-Malaysian presenter has hosted since 2014. Since the incredible success of groundbreaking rom-com film, “Crazy Rich Asians,” Henry has been named one of GQ’s “Men of the Year” for 2018. He’s since starred alongside Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick in the sexy thriller, “A Simple Favor,” is currently working on a Christmas movie with “Game Of Thrones’” Emilia Clarke. Even after being tipped as “Hollywood’s next leading man,” Henry’s isn’t letting all of this new attention go to his head, admitting that he’s “struggling with fame.”

#4: Shawn Mendes

After making a name for himself on video-sharing app, Vine, Shawn Mendes has become one of the posterboys for self-made Internet stars. He’s continued his meteoric rise this year, becoming the only artist to top the charts four times before the age of 20 with the release of singles, “In My Blood” and “Lost In Japan” from his third album. Shawn was also the subject of a revealing documentary made by YouTuber, Casey Neistat and performs at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show in December ahead of a 2019 world tour. Phew! It’s no wonder he seems to have hardly any time for dating, though we’re not exactly sad he’s still single...

#3: Chris Evans

Chris Evans has been fighting for truth and justice as the MCU’s Captain America since 2011, where he went from zero to hero before our very eyes. This all culminated in him rallying his fellow Avengers to save the universe in this year’s Infinity War. Off-camera, Chris might just be a real life Captain America, putting misogynists from Piers Morgan to Donald Trump in their place on Twitter. It’s not just his helicopter-pulling arms we love, it’s his feminist credentials as well. We’ll even forgive him for rocking that Charlie Swan facial hair for his Broadway debut this year. We love Pratt, Hemsworth and Pine, but Evans definitely wins the war of the Hollywood Chris’.

#2: Noah Centineo

One of the hottest up-and-coming actors of this year, Noah Centineo definitely shed his Disney Channel reputation when he got his telenovela on in Camila Cabello’s sultry music video for hit single, “Havana.” In the world of the TV movie, he also became one of Netflix’s most bankable rom-com stars, making hearts everywhere flutter as Peter Kavinsky opposite Lana Condor’s Lara Jean in “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before,” and then again as Jamey in “Sierra Burgess Is A Loser” alongside former “Stranger Things” actress Shannon Purser. We can’t wait to see him break out onto the big screen in the upcoming “Charlie’s Angels” reboot, directed by and starring Elizabeth Banks.

Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.

Chris Pine

Prince Harry

John Krasinkski

#1: Michael B. Jordan

Killmonger may have lost the Wakandan throne, but on our list, he reigns supreme. Who isn’t a sucker for a bad boy? Michael B. Jordan is one of 2018’s brightest - and busiest - talents. As well as playing a Marvel villain, he had time to star in HBO’s “Fahrenheit 451,” appear in a Jay-Z and Beyonce music video, and, with the release of “Creed II,” carrying the “Rocky” franchise into a new era on those broad shoulders. In fact, his body in “Black Panther” made one thirsty viewer bite through her retainer, which the actor kindly reimbursed her for. To top it all, he’s a geek at heart. Truly the whole package!
