Some of our favorite heroes actually kill a lot of people. Join http://www.WatchMojo.com as we count down our picks for the top 10 lethal actors. For this list, we're taking a look at those actors who not only have the highest number of on-screen kills, but who also have some of the most…entertaining kills. And while we've become a little jaded by the number of explosions and machinegun action, we're comforted by the knowledge that it's just acting. Although with some of these actors, we're not quite sure.

#10: Jason Statham

He’s British, he’s smarmy, and he’s balding: it’s either the perfect recipe for a college professor or, in this case, an actor with a talent for action. After honing his athletic build as a diver and model, Statham got his big break in Guy Ritchie’s “Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels” – and he’s been leaving a path of broken skulls ever since. With his high-stakes stunts and high-speed car chases, it’s no wonder he has an on-screen body count higher than most speed limits.

#9: Bruce Willis

Top 10 Bruce Willis Movies

He may have gotten his start as a private detective on TV – and actually, also in real life – but he rode the action star wave that followed him after “Die Hard.” He shot and then kicked his way onto the silver screen, making a name for himself as a middle-aged cop with a remarkable talent for not ending up dead when faced with terrorists. In fact he’s made more kills barefoot than most actors have their entire careers.

#8: Dolph Lundgren

He may have looked like the Third Reich’s fantasy, but this Swedish-born action hero probably would’ve He-Manned any Nazi in the face. As Ivan Drago, one of Rocky Balboa’s most feared contenders, he definitely was imposing; but as the “The Punisher” he was deadly. In fact, he was pretty deadly in almost all of his movies. His on-screen kill count hovers close to the six-hundreds, which is almost unheard of.

#7: Jet Li

Top 10 Actors Who Always Die Onscreen

We may have been so distracted by his impressive martial arts skills in most of his movies to remember that he’s actually killing a lot of his combatants. And, when you think about it, that’s actually a pretty remarkable talent. His method of death delivery is remarkable, in that it’s usually way more than just picking up a gun and knocking a guy off. His kills are up close and personal, and that much more terrifying.

#6: Mel Gibson

Top 10 Modern Actors Who Were Blacklisted

Before he went off his rocker – at least according to some – Gibson had made a name for himself playing a cop with a death wish. And before that, he was struggling to survive in a dystopian future beset by savage gangs. Needless to say, he got to kill a bunch of bad guys in a bunch of movies for a few years. And let’s not forget how he William Wallace’d his way through “Braveheart.”

#5: Steven Seagal

Also in:

Steven Seagal Vs. Jean-Claude Van Damme

He doesn’t just break bones without messing us his ponytail; he kills some folks, too. A lot of folks, actually. Soft-spoken, but by no means mild-mannered, this action hero had a widow’s peak that could strike fear into the hearts of lesser men and hands that could break a neck when a gun wasn’t readily available. And that’s all while not really ever breaking a sweat.

#4: Chuck Norris

Top 10 Chuck Norris Moments

He wasn’t always just an Internet meme. At one point, he was actually a well-respected action star. In fact, he was a pretty deadly action star. Don’t let the smooth beard fool you, this guy could kick some butt, and on more than one occasion, that butt would end up dead. On screen, anyway. In real life, we’re sure he wouldn’t roundhouse a fly. Or would he?

#3: Chow Yun-fat

He should really be renamed Chow Yun-Awesome, because he’s that’s great. While most viewers in the West may recognize him as the stoic Li Mu-Bai from 2000’s “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,” he’s been leaving bodies in his wake since the ‘80s. While working with director John Woo, he quickly rose to stardom as the lead of a series of heavy-hitting action flicks with a pile of bad guys to stand on.

#2: Sylvester Stallone

He may have punched his way into our collective consciousness as a hard worn boxer trying to be a champion, but he created a legacy as an action hero with a thing for machineguns. His onscreen kill count is massive, at almost 500 heads, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down. Rocky may have thrown jabs for points, but Rambo shot bullets for the government.

Before we let our top pick kick some ass, here are a few honorable mentions:
- Wesley Snipes
- Clint Eastwood Jean-Claude Van Damme
- Charles Bronson
- Tomisaburo Wakayama

#1: Arnold Schwarzenegger

Top 10 Arnold Schwarzenegger Films

The former governor of California wasn’t just some chump politician. As a former bodybuilder and always action star, Schwarzenegger pretty much killed his way through the bulk of his filmography. And if “Kindergarten Cop” hadn’t have paired him with a bunch of 5 year-olds, there probably would’ve been a higher body count in that film as well. Thanks to “The Expendables,” he and a number of our favorite lethal actors can keep on killing folks on camera.
