In-between the mystery, action and other thrilling aspects of what many people consider to be David Cage’s video game magnum opus, there’s actually some pretty steamy scenes. Good thing too since our protagonist Lucas Kane just doesn’t seem to catch a break. The first of these involves romancing his ex-girlfriend Tiffany via drinks and some sweet guitar skills, which if successfully pulled off leads to them fanning the flames of their old relationship. The second of these, while it does seem rather hasty, cements the relationship between Lucas and secondary protagonist Carla, and boy they do not hold back.

Not only is Kratos a one man army capable of butchering Gods, Titans and every other monster out of Greek Mythology, but he’s also quite the ladykiller. Alongside his on-going quest for vengeance, the Ghost of Sparta has been known to indulge insex-based mini games that were more in honesty more funny that hot…then came his interaction with Aphrodite. Should players choose to, Kratos can roll around in the sheets with the Goddess of Love herself, all the while her topless servants, and us, look on in awe. Well, it’s not Kratos’ usual method of smashing, but it seems to be just as effective!

Whatever we were expecting the creators of South Park to throw our way, nothing could prepare us for the moment where we spend an entire level watching our virtual parents have very vocal, hardcore sex session. We’re not sure what’s more harrowing, the fact you have to watch them go at it for a long while to unlock an achievement or that you end up battling underpants gnomes while you have to avoid incoming testicles. It may be gross and surreal, but by god is it unforgettable, whether you want it to be or not!

David Cage returns again, and while this moment between the emotionally shattered Ethan and sharp-minded Madison is a sweet one, the reason this particular sex scene stands out among others is that you control everything, and we mean everything. While you’ve spent the better part of the game navigating the Origami Killer’s twisted traps, it’s nowhere near as detailed or as a nerve-wracking as undressing Madison and getting down to business. Serving as a respite from the game’s bleak narrative, as well as being something of a technical challenge, there’s no doubt you’ll be working just as hard as Ethan to not to mess up.

Much like Mass Effect, the world of Thedas is bursting with amazing characters and some truly compelling romance options, and out of all three entries in the franchise none pack quite the punch more than the Inquisition lot. Dorian and Sera not only made for diverse and interesting characters but also championed homosexuality, Cassandra’s badass nature gave way to a truly heart-warming fairy-tale romance, and of course there’s just no beating the pinnacle of manliness that is the Iron Bull, whose charisma is so strong that guys and girls were both eager to try and ride the bull!

Jason Brody’s hallucinatory trip into madness and violence not only gave us one of modern gaming’s greatest villains in the form of Vaas, but also gave us one hell of a femme fatale in the form of Citra, whose not one to shy away from bloodshed. After putting Jason through one trippy rite of passage, we find out that the entire thing was done while Citra was…well, taking advantage. Citra maybe sizzling, but like everything on Rook Island, there’s a darkness just below the surface, and should players choose to pursue her for another round…let’s just say it ends with a broken heart.

Geralt of Rivia is the best example of a lover and a fight in equal measure. He’s slain every kind of creature you can imagine, has overcome the likes of the Wild Hunt and also taken his fair share of strong and beautiful women to bed. From whores to succubi, the White Wolf’s lust is rather legendary in gaming, though it’s fair to say the best examples come from his two most cherished lovers:Triss and Yennefer. Depending on which romance Geralt ultimately chooses to follow, the result is as graphic as can be, but like everything in the Witcher series, it’s layered, developed and incredibly satisfying. Unless you try to press your luck with both lovers.
