How to Make Chocolate Truffles with Cognac: Recipe

Ingredients:
- 8oz semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, roughly chopped
- ½ cup of whipping cream
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- 2 tbsp alcohol or flavoring (Cognac, brandy, Grand Marnier, rum, Kahlua, vanilla extract, etc)
Directions:
1. In a medium saucepan, heat the cream and the butter over medium heat until it’s almost boiling.These make a great gift or the perfect bite-sized treat for your next party! Make sure to warm them to room temperature before you serve so all the flavors are at their best.
2. When it’s just boiling, pour it over the chopped chocolate in a heat-proof bowl and stir it all until the chocolate melts.
3. After it’s melted, add your flavoring and stir until it’s all incorporated.
4. Place your mixture in the fridge for a few hours or overnight until it’s firm.
5. Now, use either your hands, a spoon, a melon baller or a small scoop to make small balls, and place them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
6. When your truffles are formed, coat them in your favorite toppings. You can use:
o Cocoa Powder
o Melted Chocolate
o Icing Sugar
o Chopped Nuts
o Sprinkles
o Whatever you like!
7. Cover that with plastic wrap and then place them in the fridge.
