These are the most powerful abilities found in the world of anime. Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we’re counting down our picks for Top 10 Anime Powers. For this list, we’re looking at powers across all genres of Anime, and ranking them based on their practicality and potential. We’re also looing at individual powers and techniques, so all powerful entities like gods and angels are out.

#10: Branch of Sin “Deadman Wonderland” (2011)

Many people say that true power comes from within and Deadman Wonderland took that literally. Among the most dangerous prisoners held at Deadman Wonderland Prison and Amusement Park are these “Deadmen”. Deadmen can harness the branches of sin to control their own blood. Each Deadmen’s branch of sin can take different forms, such as protagonist Ganta’s “Ganta Gun” or Senji’s Crow Claw.

#9: Clone Technique “Naruto” (2002-)

This technique comes in two different forms. The basic technique allows the user to create illusions of themselves to confuse and disorient the enemy; like a walking hall of mirrors. The more powerful Shadow Clone Technique disperses the user’s chakra evenly among the illusions, allowing the clone forms to attack physically. Think about it, how useful would it be to have a couple of extra copies of yourself at your disposal?

#8: Dragon Slave “Slayers” series (1995-97, 2008)

If controlling your blood and cloning doesn’t work, you can always rely on black magic. Just ask Slayers protagonist Lina Inverse. The Dragon Slave spell is the most powerful form of black magic that can be manipulated by a human; with its destructive power on an inhuman scale. Don’t believe us? One cast and the blast alone can destroy cities and mountains. This is why black magic is forbidden.

#7: Titan’s Power “Attack on Titan” (2013)

Top 20 Attack on Titan Moments

Titans are monstrous creatures that ravage the landscape and devour humans buy the thousands. A select few humans, most notably protagonist Eren Yaeger, has the power to transform into a Titan. This power allows him to change into a titan whenever he suffers blood-drawing injury. He becomes much stronger, faster and most importantly, maintains his human level intelligence; most of the time. Time to fight fire with fire.

#6: Demon Weapons “Soul Eater” (2008-09)

While some characters have the will and focus to wield demonic weapons, others can transform themselves into the weapon itself. While learning at the Death Weapon Meister Academy, meisters are trained to wield demon weapons, which are actually humans who can transform into said weapons. Meister and weapon are paired up to fight and rid the world of evil. These two aspects of Soul Eater’s Demon Weapons come together to make these weapons the most powerful in the world.

#5: Geass “Code Geass” (2006-08)

Also in:

Code Geass Vs Death Note

Gaze into these eyes, and your will is forfeit. The Geass, better known as the Power of Kings, is the pinnacle of supernatural abilities. While it manifests in different forms depending on the user, protagonist Lelouch’s eyes are the most common form. If you lock eyes with Lelouch, you are now subject to his will. This power is not limitless however, as it can be defeated by someone else who has knowledge of Geass.

#4: Celestial Spirit Magic “Fairy Tail” (2009-)

Let’s face it, the world of Fairy Tail is filled with a ton cool powers, so it was hard to pick just one; but we are giving this entry to Lucy’s celestial spirit magic. Using celestial spirit gate keys, this form of magic allows the user to summon celestial spirits, most notably based off of the signs of the Zodiac. The more keys a magician collects the more spirits they have access too, and the higher they’re standing is with the magical community. You can summon any of the signs you want; just make sure it’s not their day off.

#3: Alchemy “Fullmetal Alchemist” series (2003-10) It’s time to throw some science into the super power mix. Alchemy is the scientific and mystical technique of altering states of matter, deconstructing things and reconstructing them into something new. This technique requires a perfect comprehension of the initial structure’s molecular makeup, so only the remarkably brilliant can become master alchemists. There are limits however. The law of conversion of mass states that matter cannot be summoned out of nothing, therefore the mass and chemical makeup of the new creation is limited to that of the initial creation. Equivalent exchange.

#2: Death Note “Death Note” (2006-07) In the world of Death Note, the pen is definitely mightier than the sword. Don’t let that plain little black book deceive you, as the owner of the Death Note has the power to kill anyone they want, needing only the victim’s name and face. Unlike Alchemy, the Death Note’s power comes with very few rules, and the user is free to do virtually what ever they want with it, as is the case with series antagonist Light Yagami, when he sets out to use the Death Note to reshape the world in his image. Before we charge up our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions. Vectors “Elfen Lied” (2004) Nen “Hunter x Hunter” (1999-2001, 11-14) Dragon Slayer Magic “Fairy Tail” (2009-) Noble Phantasm “Fate” series (2006-)

#1: Ki “Dragonball” series (1986-97, 2009-)

Ki is necessary to overcome the physical bounds of your body, allowing the astute to become living weapons with limitless potential for destruction. Now charge up that Ki and prepare for battle!
