#10: “Pokkén Tournament” [Wii U Version] Release Date: March 18, 2016

Tekken plus Pokémon should equal a tight 3D fighting game with a deep rosterof diverse, well-loved characters. “Pokkén Tournament” made its way to Japanese arcades in July 2015, and according to various reports, it has not been wildly popular. Nevertheless, Pokémon fans around the world are excited to play as familiar favorites like Pikachu, Mewtwo and Machamp, and weirder fan favorites like Chandelure when the game gets its worldwide release on Wii U. What a way to celebrate Pokémon’s 20th anniversary!

#9: “iii” by Miike Snow Release Date: March 4, 2016

Top 10 Must-See Anticipated Releases of November 2016

If you’ve heard of anything from Miike Snow, it was probably 2009’s delightfully oddball single “Animal” from their eponymous debut album. But this mostly Swedish trio has been making consistently great electro-tinged pop music ever since. They’ve already dropped a couple of tracks from this, their third LP, including the dangerously catchy “Genghis Khan.” But that was enough to let us know that we can’t wait to hear more.

#8: “10 Cloverfield Lane” Release Date: March 11, 2016 [U.S.]

Top 10 Must See Anticipated Releases of October 2016

There’s been an air of secrecy around “10 Cloverfield Lane” throughout its production; J.J. Abrams’ company Bad Robot shot the film under a fake title, released its first trailer without warning, and seems to be pursuing a cryptic viral marketing campaign. It’s still not clear to what degree it’s a sequel of 2008’s found-footage sensation “Cloverfield,” though Abrams has said the two are “blood relatives.” Regardless of that connection, the trailer promises a taut drama set in a post-apocalyptic world.

#7: “Archer” – Season 7 Release Date: March 31, 2016

It seems the producers of the filthy, hilarious FX spy cartoon “Archer” have gotten into the habit of keeping things fresh by changing the playing field every season: for example, season five was largely an homage to “Miami Vice.” Season six, meanwhile, saw Sterling Archer and co working for the CIA. For the show’s seventh season, the gang is heading out to Hollywood to start a private detective agency, and the trailer is a shot-for-shot remake of the opening for “Magnum, P.I.” If Archer proves to have half the mystery-solving skills of Tom Selleck, we’re in for one wild ride.

#6: “Zootopia” Release Date: March 4, 2016 [U.S.]

If you love Disney and adorable anthropomorphic animals as much as we do, then you’re probably “hopping” with excitement in anticipation of this release! From the creators of “Big Hero 6” and “Wreck-It Ralph” comes a classic tale ofa rookie cop – who happens to be a rabbit – working to crack the big case, starring the likes of Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman and Idris Elba. Keep your eyes peeled for elephants doing yoga, gangster weasels and sloths working at the DMV! Fun for the whole family!

#5: “Post Pop Depression” by Iggy Pop Release Date: March 18, 2016

One’s got a “Lust for Life” and one “No One Knows.” Veteran rocker and progenitor of punk Iggy Pop secretly teamed up with musical Renaissance man Josh Homme (haw-mee), most notably of Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles ofDeath Metal and Them Crooked Vultures. The result is “Post Pop Depression” – an album about aging, self-worth and the legacy we leave behind. The record marks the first collaboration between the legendary Pop and Homme, one oftoday’s greatest rock producers. Iggy’s unique vocal style, Josh’s killer guitar licks and both of their lyrical prowess should make for a killer combo.

#4: “Tom Clancy’s The Division” Release Date: March 8, 2016

Top 10 Anticipated Releases of August 2016

When Ubisoft first announced this game back in 2013, the idea of an MMO survival shooter RPG was incredibly novel. And you know what? If they had met their original projected launch date of 2014, we bet “The Division” would’ve topped a list like this. However, the release of several other similar titles has made the genre a little more commonplace. Nevertheless, the gameplay trailers look tight and Tom Clancy’s is a proven brand, so it’s definitely worth checking out!

#3: “House of Cards” – Season 4 Release Date: March 4, 2016

That’s right: circle the date on your calendar and pencil in time for an epic binge-watch session. We won’t spoil season three of this Netflix original drama for you. What we WILL say is that Claire Underwood made a huge decision to close out the season, and it came at the worst possible time for her husband, President Frank Underwood. Stakes are rising, alliances are shifting, and the entire presidency could come tumbling down on Underwood like a… paper, uh... some kind of building made of matchsticks or something.

#2: “Marvel’s Daredevil” – Season 2 Release Date: March 18, 2016

Netflix strikes again, this time by reviving a Marvel character that had not gotten the right onscreen treatment. Sticking to the storylines brought forth in the comics, but adding in great performances and wicked action, the first season of“Marvel’s Daredevil” got rave reviews with a plot that set Daredevil against Kingpin. The second season’s big bad is fan favorite Punisher, who hasn’t yet had a truly great live action portrayal. But the gritty, gruesome realism of this series might just be the perfect setting for the bloodthirsty vigilante, so we’re psyched to see how it all plays out for Matt Murdock.

#1: “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” Release Date: March 25, 2016 [U.S.]

The Internet’s prognosis for this flick has been a rollercoaster ride: First there was the reaction to the controversial news of Ben Affleck playing Bruce Wayne; then there was the response to glowy-eyed Batman in power armor talking through a 1990s voice modulator. But then we saw some righteous fight sequences that revealed Wonder Woman and Doomsday… which seemed to give away most of the plot in the process! Nevertheless, we at WatchMojo declared this the most anticipated movie release of 2016 – which is true whether it sucks or not – so of course it’s our #1 pick for March. Do you agree with our list?
