Top 10 Best Celebrity Impressions on Snatch Game

Welcome to MsMojo, and today we’re counting down our picks for the most memorable mimicries we’ve ever seen on the beloved Snatch Game segment of “RuPaul's Drag Race”.

#10: Katya Zamolodchikova as Björk

This queen couldn’t have chosen a better character to portray, given that her inspiration is very close to her brand of comedy. Björk, known for her unconventional, avant-garde artistry and aesthetic aligns perfectly with Katya’s quirky yet intellectual personality. Not much of what she answers during the game makes sense but that’s exactly why it works so well! When she bites into a piece of paper or starts making strange noises out of the blue, all the while appearing soft-spoken and coy, she captures Björk’s essence wonderfully. As Alaska steps in with her Mae West impression for some cheeky banter with Katya, we get comedy gold. Even the real Björk said she loved Katya's impression. Now, that’s high praise!

#9: Jujubee as Eartha Kitt

Who knew the legendary singer and actress who captivated the world with her inimitable allure and enigmatic persona could be portrayed as a sensible seductress? Jujubee nails Eartha’s distinct vocal inflections, evoking Catwoman with her purrs. She knows she’s hitting the right spot with this impression from the get-go and even cracks up at her own jokes at times. Her act is amplified even more by challenge winner Shea Couleé’s bombastic rendition of Flavor Flav picking up what she was putting down. Given the popularity of Jujubee’s Eartha, it’s no wonder she uses this voice on the phone with people too!

#8: Gottmik as Paris Hilton

Let’s get the obvious out of the way first. We all see the visual resemblance and it is uncanny. Gottmik wields her makeup brush like a magic wand because this transformation is stunning. However, it comes as no surprise since she used to be the real Paris’ makeup artist! The true merit of Gottmik’s victorious performance as the famous socialite is how she incorporates well-known Paris antics in her impression. In a classic Hilton move, she switches her voice from a more natural, low tone to a higher pitch, playing on the ditzy blonde stereotype. Her imitation clearly flattered the millionaire businesswoman, who even made a virtual appearance on one of Gottmik’s YouTube videos where she recreated her Snatch Game look. Now, that’s hot!

#7: Derrick Barry as Britney Spears

While it was surely a safe choice for one of the top Britney impersonators in Vegas to pick the pop princess as her Snatch Game character, we don’t blame her! She knows what she does best and delivers with panache. Derrick’s Britney might have fallen short on the comedic side but her impression was on point. From the giddy smiles, right down to the hair flips – there’s no denying the likeness. That said, when it comes to entertainment, we’ll let Tatianna keep the crown for the best Britney on “Drag Race” for now.

#6: Bob the Drag Queen as Uzo Aduba

We didn’t think we needed this until we got it. Bob’s impersonation of Uzo Aduba’s “Orange Is the New Black” character ‘Crazy Eyes’ ticks all the right boxes. She manages to emulate Aduba’s unhinged body language to a T while also including her flair for mediocre poetry in her answers. We’ve always known Bob has class-A improv skills but this performance proves her mettle as an actor and comedian. Later on in the game, as a double whammy, she changes costumes for a Carol Channing mimicry, which the late actress thanked her for in the season finale. Needless to say, Bob’s win on this challenge was well-deserved.

#5: Bianca Del Rio as Judge Judy

Impersonating one of RuPaul’s favorite people and making him belly-laugh in the process is a commendable feat, to say the least. Bianca’s exaggerated parody of Judge Judy’s signature sass and no-nonsense temperament with a rogue ‘Baloney!’ thrown in here and there is a total treat. The cherry on the cake was the Officer Byrd puppet she pulled out and the surprise factor alone took her performance up a notch. Add to that Bianca and Judge Judy’s shared passion for a good read and you have an unforgettable impression, which the legal legend herself appreciated. As a bonus, we got to see Bianca’s Judy interact with Adore Delano’s Anna Nicole Smith, which mirrored the queens’ endearing relationship in real life.

#4: Chad Michaels as Cher

“Drag Race” herstory was made when this act hit our TV screens. We just know every other queen in the werk room must have been shaking in their boots when Chad brought out her Cher garb for Snatch Game. She is one of the most renowned impersonators of the Goddess of Pop, after all. Expectations were high and her reputation was at stake but Michaels did not come to play. Her winning depiction of the wise-cracking, wig-changing, opulent diva is etched into the collective memory of “RPDR” fans. The queen’s fittingly irreverent answers are quoted to this day and she truly set the standard for Snatch Games to come.

#3: The Vivienne as Donald Trump

Making an impression of the two-time US president stand out among a sea of other impersonators is a herculean task. However, a Welsh queen taking on that challenge with the funniest New York accent does the trick. The Vivienne replicated Trump’s husky voice with ease and stayed in character until the end. The late queen’s visual similarity to Trump was magnified by the trademark hand gestures they copied but it was with the satirical jokes that they kicked it out of the park and won. Their hilarious back and forth with fellow challenge winner Baga Chipz’s diabolical take on former U.K. P.M. Margaret Thatcher never fails to leave us in stitches. The Vivienne, you are dearly missed.

#2: Jimbo as Joan Rivers

Playing the beloved comedienne has proven to be a surefire way of securing a win on “Drag Race”. Jimbo’s version of Joan has all the hallmarks of the latter’s unapologetic personality paired with her unique idiolect. From her razor-edged quips to her delightfully problematic replies, Jimbo keeps the other contestants on their toes, casually roasting them on the fly. Not only did she win the challenge but also conquered our hearts. We’d love to see Jimbo have a Joan-off with Loosey LaDuca, who crushed season fifteen’s Snatch Game as Rivers and won.

Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.

BenDeLaCreme as Dame Maggie Smith

Her Posh Impersonation of the Storied Actress Is a Hoot

Trinity the Tuck as Caitlyn Jenner

She Fought for Her Character and It Was Totally Worth It

Aquaria as Melania Trump

She Does Justice to America’s Glamorous First Lady – Accent, Eyes, and All

Kennedy Davenport as Little Richard

She Took a Risk and It Paid off with Major Laughs

Alexis Michelle as Liza Minnelli

Her Act Is True to Liza’s Zest for Life

#1: Jinkx Monsoon as Judy Garland

Nothing compares to this queen’s comedic brilliance. During Jinkx’s season five turn, she emerged triumphant with her spot-on impersonation of Little Edie. When she returned for “All Stars”, she was up against past winners, including acclaimed Snatch masters The Vivienne and Trinity the Tuck. The most formidable but underrated competition came from Raja, who wowed us with a double impression of Madame and Diana Vreeland. Still, Jinkx came out on top with her glowing mimicry of Judy Garland. She delivered her dirty jokes matter-of-factly, belted her notes with elan, and kept her mannerisms delicate, tapping into the Judy we know and love. While she also played Natasha Lyonne briefly, it was her Judy that gave her the winning edge alongside Trinity.
