#10: “Iron Fist” Release Date: March 17, 2017

Top 10 Greatest Iron Man MCU Scenes

We would say the fourth time’s the charm, but it seems like Netflix’s additions into the Marvel Cinematic Universe hit the mark from the very beginning. The final standalone Marvel series before The Defenders, this new show brings to life Danny Rand, a wealthy New York entrepreneur who possesses special martial arts powers allowing him to summon a mythical force. Trading in the Iron Throne for the Iron Fist, Game of Thrones’ Finn Jones will be taking on the role of Rand, alongside fellow Thrones co-star Jessica Henwick.

#9: “Power Rangers” Release Date: March 24, 2017 [U.S.]

Top 10 Things We Want To See In A Power Rangers Movie

The 90s kid in us will always adore the Power Rangers, but let’s be honest. When you take off the nostalgia goggles, this franchise is actually pretty goofy. Saban's theatrical reboot will give the Mighty Morphin team a timely update. The basic setup remains true to its roots, though, as Bryan Cranston’s Zordon enlists five teenagers to stop the villainous Rita Repulsa, played by Elizabeth Banks. If the film can find the right balance of old and new, audiences of all ages should be chanting, “Go Go Power Rangers!”

#8: “÷” by Ed Sheeran Release Date: March 3, 2017

Top 10 Most Anticipated Releases of May 2017

Back in December 2015, Ed Sheeran announced that he’d be taking a break from social media while working on his music. The English singer returned to social media exactly one year later, revealing his next album’s new color scheme. Since his previous two albums were “+” and “x”, it’s only fitting that this one is called “÷”. With singles like “Castle on the Hill” and “Shape of You,” Sheeran believes the album is his best outing yet. Let’s just hope it doesn’t leave fans divided.

#7: “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” Release Date: March 3, 2017

Also in:

How a Legend of Zelda Film Would Work

While not without a few familiar trademarks, “Breath of the Wild” aims to offer a breath of fresh air. The latest entry in “Zelda” franchise is an open-world adventure, allowing players to explore dungeons in whatever order they choose. It’s also the first “Zelda” game to incorporate voice acting, although that doesn’t mean Link will ever speak. This is sure to be a must-own title whether you get it for the Wii U or the Nintendo Switch, which we’ll talk more about later.

#6: “Ghost in the Shell” Release Date: March 31, 2017 [U.S.]

Also in:

Top 10 Creepiest Ghost Characters of All Time

After the atrocity that was “Dragonball Evolution,” the otaku community wasn’t eager to see anymore anime or manga adaptations from Hollywood. Nevertheless, this live-action interpretation of “Ghost in the Shell” shows great potential. Whitewashing accusations aside, Scarlett Johansson has proven herself in numerous other action films. We have little doubt that she’ll bring plenty of depth and humanity to The Major, a cyborg law enforcer that must take down an infamous computer hacker. Showcasing mind-blowing visuals, Rupert Sanders’ film just might live up to its source material.

#5: “Mass Effect: Andromeda” Release Date: March 21, 2017 [U.S.]

Commander Shepard’s journey may be over, but BioWare’s phenomenal role-playing franchise will live on in this long-awaited fourth installment. Taking place 600 years down the line, “Mass Effect: Andromeda” centers on a new cast of characters. Players will assume the role of either Scott or Sara Ryder, a brother and sister that set out on an open world adventure onboard the starship Tempest. With a standalone story and a bigger galaxy to explore, “Andromeda” could compensate for the controversial ending to “Mass Effect 3.”

#4: “Kong: Skull Island” Release Date: March 10, 2017 [U.S.]

Also in:

The Evolution of King Kong

Godzilla made an impressive comeback a couple years ago, jumpstarting a new cinematic universe. “Kong: Skull Island” marks the second entry in the MonsterVerse, centering on everyone’s favorite giant gorilla. King Kong himself is bound to dominate the silver screen. However, we’re just as excited about the human cast, which includes Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, and Brie Larson. Aside from acting as a reboot, the film will also help set the stage for a rousing showdown in “Godzilla vs. Kong.”

#3: Nintendo Switch Release Date: March 3, 2017

The past few years have been rough for the Big N, but this innovative new console could very well get the company back on track. The Nintendo Switch has the rare distinction of being a hybrid console, allowing gamers to play at home and on the go. Hardware aside, Nintendo has also confirmed several exclusive titles, including “Splatoon 2” and “Super Mario Odyssey.” We’re sure that’s enough to get any diehard Nintendo fans camping out on launch day.

#2: “Beauty and the Beast” Release Date: March 17, 2017 [U.S.]

Also in:

Top 10 Differences Between 1991 and 2017 Beauty and the Beast

Disney’s recent string of live-action remakes have only gotten better with each passing entry. Hopefully Bill Condon’s take on the tale as old as time will keep up the momentum. The cast seems pitch perfect on paper, especially with Emma Watson as the Beauty and Dan Stevens as the Beast. The film also promises to be a musical extravaganza, featuring songs from the original classic, as well as new material courtesy of Alan Menken and Tim Rice. Disney can put us on the guest list for sure.

#1: “Logan” Release Date: March 3, 2017 [U.S.]

Also in:

New LOGAN Trailer: New Villains, Mr. Sinister?

“Logan” will not only be the last entry in the “Wolverine” trilogy, but also Hugh Jackman’s final appearance as the titular hero. Taking a page from the “Old Man Logan" storyline, the film follows a worn out Wolverine as he goes up against a younger generation of mutants. Like last year’s “Deadpool,” “Logan” boldly went for an R-rating in order to do its story justice. The final result could be the grittiest, darkest, and most emotional “X-Men” movie to date.
