#10: Ben Affleck

After Harvey Weinstein’s alleged sexual misconduct became public in October 2017, Affleck joined the rest of Hollywood in condemning the mogul’s behavior by posting an online statement of disapproval. However, actress Rose McGowan called out Affleck for the disingenuous post, accusing him of being well aware of Weinstein’s predatory behavior for years and staying silent nonetheless. As if that weren’t bad enough, Affleck was later be accused of sexual harassment himself, stemming from a 2003 appearance on “Total Request Live” where he allegedly groped actress and former MTV host Hilarie Burton.

#9: Dr. Phil

Top 10 Times Celebs Called Out Toxic Co-Stars

This psychologist and talk show host professes to be a relationship expert (among other things), counseling couples and families on their marriage and giving out self help advice for other issues. However, if you ask his ex-wife Debbie McCall, Dr. Phil isn’t the caring partner his advice would have you believe. Speaking out in 2002 about their brief marriage in the early ‘70s, Debbie said that when she was married to Dr. Phil, he never helped out around the house and pressed her to exercise - not for her health but for her bustline. Worse, she accuses him of infidelities. If true, it sounds like they had the kind of marriage that would have been perfect for Dr. Phil’s talk show!

#8: Paris Hilton

During the 2004 election season, this reality star, media personality, and socialite was part of Diddy’s “Vote or Die” campaign, which was designed to get out the message about the importance of voting. However, Ms. Hilton may not have been the best role model for this task, as not only had she allegedly never cast a vote up until that point, but also when media outlets investigated further, it was discovered that she herself hadn’t even registered. While Paris’ reputation doesn’t exactly scream civic engagement, you’d think with a message as serious as “Vote or DIE,” she’d take the effort more seriously.

#7: Lena Dunham

Following the Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment scandal, Lena Dunham stressed the importance of always believing the women who come forward, and had earlier tweeted that women don’t lie about rape. However, those positions changed quickly when actress Aurora Perrineau accused “Girls” producer Murray Miller of having raped her in 2012. Coming to the aid of Miller, Dunham released a statement saying we as a society shouldn’t go after the “wrong targets” and went on to vouch for Miller’s character, citing the time they “worked closely.” Thankfully, seemingly recognizing the hypocrisy of her position, Dunham apologized for having wrongly defended her former co-worker.

#6: Taylor Swift

Top 10 Most Unhinged Taylor Swift Moments

When Kanye West’s 2016 song “Famous” came out with explicit references to Taylor Swift, the singer reacted quite strongly to the lyrics, which made reference to her. Kanye claimed that he went over the lyrics with Taylor prior to the song’s release, but she wouldn’t publicly back up that claim. However, a leaked recording posted by Kim Kardashian showed that such a conversation did supposedly take place. After the phone conversation exposed her, Swift, in her defense, said what she took issue with was being called “bitch,” which wasn’t in the original lyrics West had gone over with her and admittedly was not heard in the video.

#5: Larry Craig

Like state representative Wes Goodman, Larry Craig was a politician with anti-LGBT values who was brought down by a gay sex scandal. The former senator from Idaho was left in a compromising position when he was busted for lewd behavior in a sting operation at a Minneapolis airport bathroom. As a result of the incident, Craig opted not to run for re-election in 2008, though he did serve out the rest of his term despite having earlier claimed he would step down. Of course, he maintained through it all that he was definitely “NOT GAY”. Craig’s hypocrisy is even sweeter when you consider how he reacted to Bill Clinton’s big sex scandal on “Meet the Press.”

#4: Jimmy Swaggart

A televangelist who was big in the 1980s, this Baton Rouge based pastor chastised fellow televangelists for their adultery scandals, famously calling Jim Bakker’s misdeeds a “cancer” on Christianity. However, Reverend Swaggart’s holier than thou attitude took a beating in 1988 when he was reportedly spotted visiting a hotel room with a prostitute in New Orleans. When the scandal broke, the Assemblies of God removed Swaggart of his position and ministerial license. Adding insult to injury, in 1991, he got caught with another prostitute during a traffic stop in Indio, California.

#3: Michael Moore

Top 5 Facts About Michael B. Jordan

If there’s one thing this liberal documentary filmmaker hates, it’s greedy fat cats getting tax breaks. And it’s that reputation that made this revelation sting quite so bad. In 2008, Moore criticized tax credits used by Hollywood, accusing them of stealing from the everyday taxpayer. Unfortunately, he then allegedly went on to use those same kind of tax breaks to make his movie “Capitalism: A Love Story.” Speaking of capitalism, for all of his talk of the evils of the subject, he has managed to use that economic system to amass a reported net worth of more than 50 million dollars. So apparently it’s not all bad.

#2: Kevin Costner

Also in:

Top 20 Hilarious Kevin Hart Moments

In “Dances with Wolves,” Kevin Costner’s character befriended the Sioux tribe, but in real life, it would seem that Costner’s kindness and respect for the people was limited to his time on-set. A couple of years after “Dances with Wolves” was released, Costner wanted to build an elaborate casino hotel resort in the South Dakota Black Hills on land that the Lakota Sioux claimed was theirs. It would be like if right after filming “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves,” Costner had teamed up with the Sheriff of Nottingham to steal from the poor. Thankfully, the Oscar winning director’s casino resort deal never materialized. Before we reveal our top hypocrite, here are a few (dis)honorable mentions. Arifinto Leland Yee Leonardo DiCaprio

#1: Donald Trump

Also in:

Top 10 Funniest Donald Glover Moments

On the campaign trail, Trump liked to bash multinational corporations who outsourced their labor, but when you take a good look at goods emblazoned with the Trump brand, you will most likely find they were made outside the United States. Many of the same things Trump criticized Obama for doing while he was president is the same stuff Trump is doing while in office, including golf and issuing executive orders. And while it’s common for politicians to flipflop on a couple of issues, Trump has changed positions numerous times, whether it’s on abortion, gun control, or monetary policy.
