Top 10 Greatest Gravity Falls Guest Voice Actors
#10: Kyle MacLachlan
With “Gravity Falls” coming to an end, it’s only natural that the show would feature as many guest stars as possible. Considering the show’s themes focus heavily on mysteries and the paranormal, it makes sense that Kyle MacLachlan, who plays the iconic Dale Cooper from the series “Twin Peaks,” would be an ideal choice. It’s easy to miss, but MacLachlan voices the bus driver who takes Dipper and Mable home in the series finale. As Gravity Falls is heavily inspired by Twin Peaks, it seems fitting that the actor behind Dale Cooper would be the one to help the Pines Twins finish their long journey home.
#9: Chris Parnell
With acting experience that includes eight seasons on Saturday Night Live and voicing popular animated characters like Jerry Smith and Cyril Figgis, Chris Parnell has made a name for himself in the world of comedy. As a result, it was only a matter of time before his talents would lead him to Gravity Falls. Parnell makes a cameo in season one’s “Irrational Treasure” where he voices a government agent who appears in an old film revealing the secret of Quentin Trembley, the real founder of Gravity Falls and eighth and a half president of the United States. While his cameo is brief, Parnell’s ability to go from serious to comedic in the blink of an eye allows him to leave his mark in Gravity Falls.
#8: Jonathan Banks
In the Season Two episode “A Tale of Two Stans,” fans finally learn about Stan Pine’s mysterious past, as well as new details about his father, Filbrick Pines. Described by Stan as a tough guy who’s hard to impress, Filbrick is voiced by none other than Jonathan Banks. Along with his role as Mike Ehrmantraut from “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul,” Banks has played a number of tough-guy personas over his long acting career, making him the perfect choice to portray Stan’s dad. Not many people can accurately capture the fury Filbrick felt as he banished Stan from his home after the latter cost his family a chance at the good life.
#7: Chelsea Peretti
While some fans consider Season Two’s “Roadside Attraction” to be one of the lesser episodes, it does have a few silver linings. One of them is Chelsea Peretti, who also plays Gina Linetti on “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” In this episode, Peretti voices Darlene, the owner of a creepy mummy tourist attraction who Stan takes on a date. While their date goes well at first, it turns out to be a scam by Darlene, who is actually a horrifying spider monster that wants to eat Stan and turn him into a mummy. Whether it’s her accent or the different ways she tricks and roasts Stan before trying to eat him, Peretti’s unique voice acting is one of this episode’s top highlights.
#6: Jon Stewart
Among the many celebrities to appear on “Gravity Falls,” Jon Stewart, the former host for “The Daily Show,” was at the top of Alex Hirsch’s list. Considering that both Stewart and Hirsch are actually big fans of each other's shows, it was only a matter of time before Stewart made a cameo in the series. This eventually came true in part two of the “Weirdmageddon” trilogy when Stewart guest stars as the honorable Judge Kitty Kitty Meow Meow Face-Shwartstein, a cartoon cat that serves as Mabel’s voice of reason and presides over Dipper’s trial of Fantasy versus Reality. Even though Judge Shwartstein is an evil construct created by Bill Cipher, Stewart is an amazing guest star for one of the series best episodes.
#5: Alfred Molina
That’s right! “Gravity Falls” managed to book Alfred Molina, an amazing actor whose resume includes roles like Doctor Octopus in “Spider-Man 2.” Molina voices Multi-Bear, a creature whose name is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. With his experience and diverse range of voice talents, Molina does an incredible job depicting Multi-Bear’s many character traits, ranging from noble, angry, sad, as well as happy. It’s honestly hard to imagine anyone else playing him. In a behind the scenes interview, Molina comments that he had a lot of fun playing the role of Multi-Bear.
#4: Neil deGrasse Tyson
While Mable’s pet pig Waddles is normally voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, he’s temporarily portrayed by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson in Season Two’s “Little Gift Shop of Horrors.” As part of a series of short stories, Dipper tries to make himself smarter by using magical brain goop. However, after the goop is eaten by Waddles, he becomes a bonafide genius capable of solving complex 3D puzzles, as well as building a device to solve the mysteries of the universe. Naturally, Tyson is the ideal guest star whose voice is worthy of reflecting Waddle’s newfound intellect. With his exceptional charm, smooth voice, and amazing personality, Tyson introduces a new side to Waddles and leaves his mark as one of the show’s best guest stars.
#3: Larry King
The Season One episode “Headhunters” features plenty of guest stars such as John Oliver (Xref) as Wax Sherlock Holmes, as well as rapper Coolio (Xref) as a wax version of himself. However, one of the biggest guest stars to appear in the episode, and by extension the series, was none other than TV host Larry King. While he may not have too many lines, Larry does a spot-on impression of himself, even after he’s been reduced to a severed head. Wax Larry King’s head eventually makes a comeback in the “Gravity Falls” season finale. As the Pines family and their allies get ready to face off against Bill Cipher, it feels pretty good seeing the return of one of the show’s top guest stars.
#2: "Weird Al" Yankovic
With a series as popular as “Gravity Falls,” there is no limit to the type of guest stars who can make an appearance. This includes celebrities like the one and only "Weird Al'' Yankovic. Yankovic appears in Season Two’s “Dungeons, Dungeons, and More Dungeons” where he voices the literal math wizard, Probabilitor the Annoying, who captures Dipper and Ford and tries to eat their brains. This forces Stan and Mable to challenge him to a life or death D&D&D game with hilarious results. Whether he’s being menacing or annoying, Yankovic goes all out to deliver an amazing performance as Gravity Falls' most dangerous dungeon master.

#1: Mark Hamill
When you’re looking to make an episode as tense, creepy, and terrifying as possible, there is no better guest star than the voice of the Clown Prince of Crime, Mark Hamill. The Season Two episode “Into the Bunker” is already a great episode in and of itself, and adding Hamill into the mix as the sinister Shape Shifter makes it all the more exciting. Throughout most of the episode, Hamill’s voice amplifies the Shape Shifter and its nightmare-inducing forms as it tries to manipulate and destroy Dipper and Wendy to obtain the journal and escape its underground prison. With Hamill’s impeccable voice acting, “Into the Bunker” deserves its place as one of “Gravity Falls’” best episodes.
