Top 10 Meghan Markle Style Moments
#10: Christmas Morning (2017)
Just a month after announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle was invited to join the royal family for a Christmas morning tradition. They attended a church service at St. Mary's Magdalene in Sandringham, England and Markle wore a Sentaler wrap coat in a light shade with matching tan accessories including a Chloé purse, Marks & Spencer gloves and Stuart Weitzman boots. She topped it all off with an adorable hat that completed her royal look. It was one of her earlier official appearances with the royals, and she totally nailed it.
#9: Prince Charles’ Garden Party (2018)
On May 19, 2018, Meghan Markle married Prince Harry and became Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. Before the couple even embarked on their honeymoon, they went to a garden party honoring Prince Charles’ 70th birthday at Buckingham Palace, which was Markle’s first official appearance as a member of the family. Her dress was by Goat and featured sheer sleeves and an illusion neckline. Her hat was by Philip Treacy and ultimately made the look what it was by being worn jauntily to the side. The entire ensemble exuded the elegance that one would expect from a Duchess.
#8: Commonwealth Day (2018)
A couple of months before they were to be married, in March of 2018, Meghan and Harry joined the Queen in celebrating Commonwealth Day at Westminster Abbey. Markle’s dress and coat were designed by British designer Amanda Wakeley, and the crisp white coat and matching hat were certainly the stars of the show. The contrast of black and white was slightly offset by a modest pop of color in her shoes. By this point, Markle had established her stride in dressing for royal events, always looking sleek, fashionable and put together.
#7: State Dinner in Suva, Fiji (2018)
Nearly as soon as Meghan and Harry were married, it seemed as though people were speculating that Markle was pregnant. They didn’t make the people wait long though, officially announcing her pregnancy in October of 2018. Just days later, Markle attended a state dinner in Suva, Fiji, sporting some incredible maternity style. She wore a blue short sleeved cape dress by Safiyya, which subtly highlighted her new baby bump. Her statement earrings helped to complete the look. It was one of the earliest in a long line of great pregnancy outfits to come.
#6: The Fashion Awards (2018)
Speaking of maternity style, in December of 2018 Markle surprised guests by making an appearance at the British Fashion Council’s annual Fashion Awards ceremony. She was there to present Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy with the British Designer of the Year Womenswear Award. Markle’s wedding dress was designed by Keller for Givenchy, and she of course chose a dress by the design house for this occasion as well. It was a one shoulder design and was made of velvet. The black column style was the perfect thing for accenting her bump, which was definitely the center of attention.
#5: Endeavour Fund Awards (2018)
Since it was announced that Markle would become part of the royal family, she has mostly chosen demure and feminine outfits for her public appearances. On occasion though, she still manages to surprise us, like she did in February of 2018 when she wore a flawlessly tailored Alexander McQueen suit and Jimmy Choo heels to the Endeavour Fund Awards. She was a guest and presenter that evening, and proved in this outfit that she can pull off a wide variety of different looks, even if they’re outside her usual fashion wheelhouse.
#4: Northern Ireland Trip (2018)
Sometimes, simple is best. When Meghan and Harry made a surprise trip to Northern Ireland in early 2018 before their wedding, Meghan practically stepped off the plane looking flawless as ever. She displayed what has become something of her signature style: a fashionable coat (this time by Mackage), and elegant separates in a simple color palette. Her cream colored sweater was by Victoria Beckham and paired beautifully with the midi length pencil skirt in a gorgeous shade of green. Her simple pumps added an additional pop of subtle color.
#3: Catalyst Museum Visit (2018)
Markle’s first official engagement with Queen Elizabeth II took place at the Catalyst Science Discovery Centre in Widnes, Cheshire. Just like at her wedding, she wore a dress by Givenchy, this time with a unique silhouette. The light blush hued piece featured an interesting capelet neckline, and Markle further accented it by adding a slim belt around her waist. The subdued color of the dress was perfectly offset by the Queen’s lime green ensemble, showing that Meghan was totally okay not being the center of attention this time around.
#2: Wedding Reception Dress (2018)
Meghan’s wedding ceremony dress was the one everyone was waiting with bated breath to see, but she surprised her fans by choosing a reception dress that some liked even more than the one she wore for the main event. She wore this Stella McCartney gown for a party at Frogmore House, and certainly cemented some new bridal trends in the process. The high neck style bared the Duchess’s shoulders and the unique silhouette accented her figure. She proved yet again that simplicity is often the way to go.

#1: Wedding Dress (2018)
Could we have gone with anything else for our number one pick? Meghan Markle’s best fashion moment was also the most high profile: her wedding day. People around the globe were awaiting the big moment where she would emerge from the car and show her gown off to the world, and it paid off. The gown wasn’t like anything we expected, featuring a boatneck design and a sleek, pared down silhouette. The piece was custom designed by Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy, who said that the intention was to "convey modernity through sleek lines and sharp cuts". We think she definitely succeeded!
