#10: Hamm, P.T. Flea, Yeti, Mack, The Moonfish, The Underminer & More John Ratzenberger

John Ratzenberger is an absolute icon in the world of Pixar. He takes on the role of over a dozen different characters. Whether it’s the abominable snowman in “Monsters Inc.”, a school of fish in “Finding Nemo”, or a semi truck in “Cars”, this man can do it all. His voice has appeared in almost every movie, except a few of the more recent ones. So, it’s no surprise he’s been referred to as their good luck charm. Believe it or not, out of all his parts, he says his favorite was P.T. flea, the over the top ringmaster from “A Bug’s Life”.

You might already recognize this distinct voice, even if you didn’t pick up on it while watching. Comedian Jeff Garlin delivers a hilarious performance with each of these delightful characters. His first film with Pixar was “WALL-E”, where he played the captain of the ship. This goofy commander becomes an unexpected hero. Don’t let Buttercup the unicorn’s wholesome and fluffy appearance fool you in “Toy Story 3”, he’s super sarcastic. And Otis from “Cars 2” may be a lemon, but he’s nothing but sweet. If you look closely, there’s also a fun easter egg in the film: his license plate number is the same as Garlin’s birthday.

Dug and Alpha are a couple of adorable pups who steal the show in “Up”. The wholesome science teacher Mr. Ray appears in “Finding Nemo” and “Finding Dory”. And who could forget Roz? She’s one of the funniest characters from “Monsters, Inc.”. Perhaps his most impressive performance is in the Academy Award-winning short “Geri’s Game,” where his character doesn’t actually speak a single word, but still says so much.

#7: Auguste Gusteau, Bloat, & Dim Brad Garrett

Brad Garrett’s unique deep voice brings a special element to these roles. In “Ratatouille”, Gusteau is a renowned French cook who is a key part of Remy’s dream of becoming a chef. Everyone loves Bloat, the goofy puffer fish from “Finding Nemo”, who helps the clownfish on his journey home. And Dim is a not-so-ferocious rhinoceros beetle that can be found in Garrett’s first Pixar film, “A Bug’s Life”. These guys might be super different from each other, but they’re definitely all hilarious. They bring so much joy to the screen.

Van is only there for a few moments, but he’s still one of the funniest parts of “Cars”.
