Top 10 Times Sasuke Went Beast Mode

Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we’re counting down our picks for the Top 10 Times Sasuke Went Beast Mode.

For this list, we’ll be looking at the coolest moments where this sullen Uchiha let out his inner demons.

Did we miss any of your favorite Sasuke moments? Let us know in the comments!

#10: Uchiha vs. Otsutsuki

Most ninja would run the other way from a villain who kidnapped a Hokage, especially one as powerful as Naruto. Sasuke, on the other hand, spear-headed the rescue operation. And, based on the results, he probably could have done it all on his own. He’s a total whirlwind on the battlefield, to the point Boruto and the other Kage just feel like set dressing. That’s all before Naruto gets free, too. Once he and Sasuke team up, even the evolved Momosiki can’t hold them back anymore. Even though “Boruto” is all about passing the torch, this was a refreshing reminder that Sasuke isn’t quite ready for retirement.

#9: Tyrannosaurus Takedown

Sasuke’s fought ninja, aliens, and monsters. But, after this, he can add a new kind of adversary to his resume: dinosaurs. Although, people may not believe him, especially since he turned most of them back into fossils. And he didn’t even need a meteorite to do it. Using only fire style, a sword, and a few Chidori’s, Sasuke seemingly became a one-man extinction event. No matter the Dino, no matter the size, the Uchiha tore through them all as easily as a group of Shadow Clones. If this is what Sasuke can do in “Boruto,” the dinosaurs should just be grateful they didn’t run into him in his prime.

#8: Avenging the Uchiha

If there’s one thing Sasuke’s best at, it’s holding a grudge. So, after everything Danzo put his clan through, the Uchiha’s revenge isn’t quick, and it isn’t painless. The whole thing is more brutal than satisfying, especially where poor Karin is concerned. As a general rule of thumb, it’s best not to get between an Uchiha and their vengeance. However, when the lovestruck redhead literally gets caught in the middle of it, Sasuke decides her life is a worthy sacrifice. So, he slices through her, Danzo, and his remaining conscience with a single, hair-rising strike. It definitely got the job done, for better or for worse.

#7: The Curse Mark Awakens

Every ninja hones their skills during the Chunin Exams. But, Sasuke got his training from a very different source - namely, Orochimaru’s Curse Mark. After a quick power nap to adjust to the transformation, the Uchiha woke up ready to cause some pain. And, sadly for Zaku, he was first on the agenda. Given everything the Sound Ninja put Sakura through, seeing Sasuke maliciously destroy him is equal parts impressive and bone-chilling. Sure, Zaku totally had it coming, but that doesn’t make his ruthless fate any easier to stomach. Although, since the Curse Mark was at play, he should just be happy Sasuke stopped at his arms.

#6: Sasuke’s First Mission

It didn’t take very long into Team 7’s first mission before Sasuke lived up to his distinguished reputation. Even though Kakashi is seemingly taken out of commission, Sasuke doesn’t so much as hesitate before leaping into the action. Then, flexing his natural aptitude for combat, he seamlessly outmaneuvers two assailants twice his size. If he wasn’t saddled with protecting the client, he may’ve actually handled them all on his own. That’s a lot more than Naruto can say. Kakashi may have officially cleaned things up, but rest assured, Sasuke passed this test with flying colors. After all, they don’t call him a prodigy for nothing.

#5: Caging the Beasts

By the end of “Shippuden,” Naruto’s lifelong rival had amassed some absolutely god-like abilities. But, even with the Rinnegan and the Mangekyo Sharingan, no one could have known he was capable of brainwashing all of the Tailed Beast. The entire Shinobi World literally went to war over those very creatures. So, it’s a massive feat for any one ninja to control them. Let alone do it with just a single stare. Even more astonishing is that, afterwards, Sasuke still had enough power to give Naruto a run for his chakra. Clearly, the only thing cooler than shackling the Tailed Beasts is doing it without even breaking a sweat.

#4: Sasuke vs. A Meteor

Falling asteroids feel like a bit beyond the capabilities of mere Ninjutsu. In fact, it took coordinated groups of ninja just to slow them down at all. But, really, all that effort just serves to make Sasuke’s grand entrance even more jaw-dropping. After watching entire squads struggle to keep the meteors at bay, Sasuke swoops in and shatters one with a single, glowing strike. It’s one thing to save the village, but another to do it with so much style. The ousted Uchiha says it best himself: with Naruto out of the picture, he’s the only one capable of protecting the village. Evidently, the Hidden Leaf was in very good hands.

#3: Cutting Betrayal

There’s something deeply poetic about the fact Orochimaru unwittingly trained his own pupil to kill him. To be fair, Sasuke always has been a quick study. So, when the villain reaches his deathbed, the temperamental Ninja finally makes his move. What follows is a massacre so quick, it’s almost too brief to even call a fight. Orochimaru’s true, scaly form is certainly intimidating, but all his army of snakes do is delay the inevitable. In the end, Sasuke’s Curse Mark Transformation was more than enough to cut Orochimaru down to size. Just like that, Sasuke accomplished what the Hidden Leaf’s top brass had failed to do for generations.

#2: Playing In the Dirt

As Rock Lee can attest, taking on Gaara is easier said than done. In fact, given the villain’s track record, it’s extraordinary to survive a fight in the first place. But, after some worthwhile training with Kakashi, Sasuke showed Gaara the real might of a Chidori. Blasting through his opponent’s impervious defenses is worth a round of applause on its own, but Sasuke took it a step further: he actually made Gaara bleed. After a stunning breakthrough like that, the Jinchuriki’s crazed reaction pretty much says it all. There’s not many Ninja, period, who can say they’ve broken Gaara’s shield, and Sasuke did it as a mere Genin.

#1: Final Valley Beatdown

This isn’t the first time Naruto and Sasuke have been on opposing sides of a battlefield, and it definitely wouldn’t be the last. But, in this instance, it really felt like the moody Uchiha deserved the win. From hand-to-hand combat to Jutsu clashes, Sasuke had Naruto beat in just about every regard. That includes transformations, too. After he finally awakened to his Cursed State, not even the Nine-Tails’ chakra could compete anymore. In all of “Naruto,” there may never be a better illustration of Sasuke’s might than when his Chidori overtook the Rasengan. Quite frankly, it’s by Sasuke’s own grace that Naruto survived this fight at all.
