Travel Guide: Norway's Top Activities

Beautiful Landscape
One of the most popular activities in Norway is to observe the beautiful landscape. There are many ways to see the countryside, many interesting things to do and many beautiful natural landmarks that are well worth a look.
Ride a Fjord Horse
Those comfortable on horseback should consider riding a fjord horse. These strong animals climb up the sides of mountains, and once you arrive at the summit you are greeted with fresh air and beautiful views of fjords.
Rafting
For those interested in water activities, rafting is another popular endeavor. Whether it’s white water or river rafting, get your adrenaline pumping with this group activity.
Water Activities
Other water activities include boating, kayaking and taking cruises through the fjords. Try taking a boat ride across the long and narrow Gjende Lake. A cruise through the area is lovely, but visitors may also take in the sights by cross-country skiing nearby.
Hardangervidda National Park
Visitors should travel to Hardangervidda, which is a national park found in Norway. The entire park is found above the tree line, and this plateau area is one of the largest in Europe. It is also home to a huge glacier called Hardangerjøkulen.
Beautiful Apple Blossoms
This national park is found within the Hardanger region in western Norway. This area is an important one for the country as roughly 40 per cent of Norway’s fruit is produced there. Because of this, in spring time apple blossoms dot the landscape.
Norway is Full of Activities
Visitors travel to this destination to partake in a number of leisure activities. Whether you choose to trek through the countryside or bicycle past the rugged scenery, there is always something to strike your fancy.
