We love zombies, in fact they're probably our all time favorite horror movie menace. While we've already taken shots and stabs at our favorite zombie kills, we decided that it would be fun to take a look at the most memorable ways zombies have made kills. No, they're not all bites, as that would be boring! Join and today we'll be counting down the top 10 kills by zombies. Please be advised, this clip contains mature content, you have been warned!

#10- Wake Up Call “Dawn of the Dead” (2004)

Kicking off our list is the zombie kill that not doubt extinguished a lot of peoples secret desires to try their luck in a zombie outbreak. When young girl shows up in her parent’s bedroom first thing in the morning, it’s revealed that she’s got a bad boo boo. As any caring father would, the man leaps to tend to her wound…which turns out to be a mistake. The moral of the story? Never have kids.

#9- Divine Intervention “Dead Alive”, A.K.A. “Dead Alive” (1992)

When this outrageously awesome priest spots a zombie outbreak, he decides to use his knowledge of Kung Fu to channel the will of the Almighty. Following a hilarious and well-choreographed fight, a severed zombie head bites the padre in the neck. Enraged at his infection, he goes in the for the flying dragon kick. Unfortunately for him, the unimpressed zombie redirects him midair and gives him the finger.

#8- Spousal Abuse “28 Weeks Later” (2007)

After a harrowing open whereby a man is forced to abandon his wife to zombies, he finally gets a chance to be with her once again. Overtaken with joy and guilt, he plants one on her, not realizing that she’s infected, though partially immune to the virus’ effects. Not sharing her immunity he instantly transforms into a full-blown rage zombie, a savagely thanks her for the kiss with to thumbs up. Or two thumbs in?

#7- Zombie Bite “Dead Snow”

When a horde of Nazi Zombies attack, this young lad is one of the last of his friends to be bitten. Unwilling to transform, he decides to go all Evil Dead on his own hand to stop the infection. After chainsawing his limb off and cauterizing the wound, he has a moment of victory. Unfortunately for him, his victory is short lived as an undead fascist emerges from the snow to bite him right in his Rhineland. Yah, you’d be pissed too…

#6- That Stabbing Feeling “Night of the Living Dead” (1968)

The pioneering zombie flick that started it all is this 1968 first installment by George A. Romero. As such, you’d think that it would to be very tame compared to what we expect today. And you’d think wrong. Cue the little infected girl who grabs the sharpest object she can find and eviscerates her mother, who’s too terrified to even struggle. Once again, never having kids.

#5- Love Bites “Dawn of the Dead” (1978)

When the world is devastated by a zombie outbreak, the army attempts to contain the spread of infection with brute force. During one of their sweeps of an apartment building, all hell breaks loose, as is to be expected. Amidst the chaos, a panicked woman runs to her husband for protection, only she doesn’t realize that he’s been infected himself and gets an extra special love bite for her mistake. Mmm, stringy.

#4- Nerdy Snack “Shaun of the Dead” (2004)

Near the end of this flick, a group of survivors are holed up inside a local pub. During one of their many arguments, douchebag Dave gets a bit too close to the window and finally gets his due. Highlighting the very best of zombie tradition, he gets to witness his intestines become a snack before his limbs snap off like he was made of gingerbread! Wow, you knew he was gonna have a bad death but yeesh.

#3- Brains! “The Return of the Living Dead” (1985)

When you’re working the graveyard shift (no pun intended) and looking for a way to pass the time, try to remember to not release an undead plague. These unfortunate two accidentally release not only the toxic zombie gas but also the very sticky looking creature as well! Chasing a girl down, it instead settles for her unknowing friends when they arrive to help her. Damn, undead or not, he sure sounds excited.

#2 - Eye Trouble “Zombi 2” (1979)

When this rotting flesh hungry corpse notices a naked woman showering through a window, he gets the munchies. Letting itself inside, she panics and barricades herself in a bedroom. Unfortunately, she also quickly figures that she deserves a break for pushing such heavy furniture. This momentary pause gives the zombie a chance to grab her by the hair and pull her into a piece of the broken door! That’ll teach her not to keep an eye out for trouble.

#1- A Bang and A Gang “Day of the Dead” (1985)

Taking the top spot on our list is the iconic scene in which a dead soldier turned domesticated zombie experiment escapes, only to claim his revenge. Rather then bite Captain Rhodes for having mistreated him, he instead decides to show him that he remembers how to fire a gun. While you’d expect Bub to do the zombie thing and eat his prey, he instead gives his fellow soldier a final salute and leaves the good stuff to his friends…
