These "Power Rangers" actors are sadly no longer with us. For this list, we'll be paying tribute to the dearly departed actors from the franchise by going back to the very last time we got to see them transform into superheroes. Since a few of these morphs happen at pivotal times, there will be spoilers. Our list of deceased "Power Rangers" actors and their last morph includes Alistair Browning, Thuy Trang, Jason David Frank, and more.

Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we’re looking at Every Deceased Power Rangers Actor and Their Last Morph. For this list, we’ll be paying tribute to the dearly departed actors from the franchise by going back to the very last time we got to see them transform into superheroes. Since a few of these morphs happen at pivotal times, there will be spoilers. Which morphs do you remember the most? Let us know in the comments.
Thanks to the power of the Crystal Eyes, Master Phant’s animal spirit could transform into the Elephant Spirit Ranger. Every scene that featured the mentor roared to life thanks to the tremendous work the late Bruce Allpress put into the role. While not a morph in the traditional sense, this Spirit Ranger could be called upon any time to give the real Rangers some backup. The very final time the warrior was summoned came when the Rangers needed aid against an army of evil in the season finale. Eventually, Master Phant called it back to unlock his full animal spirit power. Sadly, after this final fury, The Green Spirit Ranger never appeared again. Bruce Allpress passed away in 2020 due to ALS complications. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of fans.
Along with a handful of monsters throughout the series, New Zealand actor Alistair Browning provided the voice for Zenowing. He was an anthropomorphic bird creature, the creator of the Dino Charge Zords, and the Silver Dino Charge Ranger all in one. While he was a latecomer to the season, he was a much-appreciated addition to the team. The very last time we see Zenowing morph on-screen is in the penultimate episode where he raises his sword for a big team morph. After fighting alongside his fellow Rangers in that battle, he made two more appearances where he morphs off-screen. Zenowing helped the Rangers win the war. Sadly, Browning died of cancer in 2019. The Silver Ranger stood as his last major heroic role.
Unfortunately, because her wand was stolen, Udonna didn’t get nearly enough time to show her full capabilities as the White Mystic Force Ranger. But when she DID get to morph, it was a glorious spectacle. The mentor’s transformation was so rewarding because of Peta Rutter’s boundless talent. Since she was so endearing and carried a quiet strength, we loved to see her turn into a force for good on the battlefield. The very last time we saw Udonna morph was also her very last appearance in the show. There, she joined her fellow Mystic Rangers in wiping out the forces of evil in one last magical brawl. Four years later, Peta Rutter was taken from us by a brain tumor. She left behind an enchanting legacy as a fan favorite Mentor and Ranger.
In 2003, New Zealand actor Pua Magasiva led the Ninja Storm Rangers as Shane, the Red Ranger. He reprised the role in the following year for the big Ninja Storm/Dino Thunder team-up episode. Initially, Shane and two of his fellow Ninja rangers were brainwashed into fighting the new team. But the evil hold over them is eventually broken. Once back on the side of good, Shane stood beside all his heroic rangers for a triumphant morphing sequence. Unfortunately, this epic crossover would be the last time we’d see him morph. Magasiva took his own life at 38 years old after being at the center of dark domestic issues. The ninja storm red ranger made a cameo in “Super Megaforce”. However, the “Dino Thunder” crossover marked the last time Magasiva appeared as a ranger.
For the first two seasons, Thuy Trang was an inspiration to fans worldwide as the OG yellow ranger, Trini Kwan. She ultimately left the show halfway through the second season. However, Trang gifted fans with one last on-screen appearance in the episode “Opposites Attract”. This episode stood as her very last morph in any original footage. After that, all of Trini’s appearances and morphs were from stock footage, body doubles, and stand-in voice actors. Thuy Trang never got to appear again due to her tragic death in a car crash in 2001. Throughout the 2023 special, “Once & Always”, Trini’s memory was honored by new and old cast members. They ensured that her legacy as the yellow ranger would never be forgotten.
Of all the Ranger actors, few were as dedicated to the franchise as Jason David Frank. He kept the role of Tommy Oliver strong and alive for 25 years. The long tenure allowed him to wear five different ranger colors over the years. Seriously, Tommy could technically form a team with his various forms alone! He fittingly got to show off how many morphers he’s collected over the years in the “Dimensions in Danger” crossover. While Tommy cycles through all his greatest hits, the final transformation sees him embracing his white tiger powers to save the multiverse.
Four years after his final morph, fans received the tragic news that Jason David Frank was no longer with us after a long struggle with mental health issues. His Tommy character made another appearance in the “Once and Always Special”. Seeing the green ranger there filled us with warm memories of Jason David Frank’s extensive and beloved history with the franchise.
