Finally, a classic Rick and Morty adventure, Rick and Morty doing classic adventures, 100 years classic adventures Rick and Morty! After last night's amazing episode of Rick and Morty, we're breaking down the small details or easter eggs you missed in Season 5 Episode 5: Battlestar Ricklactica!
Rick and Morty finally did some time-traveling of their own. Is everyone satisfied yet? We sure are, this epissssssode was sssssspectacular! Welcome to WatchMojo and today we're breaking down the best thing you probably missed in Rick and Morty sssssssseason 4 episssssode 5 Rattlestar Ricklactica.

#3: Morty's Total Recall Face

The Terminator movie franchise wasn't the only Arnold Schwarzenegger film reference in this episode. Because Rick's car doesn't have an airlock, the interior decompresses when Rick hops out for a space walk to fix a flat tire. While Morty is exposed to the vacuum of space his entire face begins to turn inside out as his eyeballs and blood vessels try to escape his head. This isn't what a lack of oxygen would actually do, and it's a quick reference to the unrealistic and terrifying faces of the characters in the classic 1990 action movie Total Recall, which, like the Terminator franchise, stars Arnold Schwarzenegger.

#2: Christopher Walken's Pause Device

At one point in this episode Rick uses a 'pause device given to him by Christopher Walkin to literally pause Beth mid-phone call so he and Jerry can have a realtalk. This is a really strange reference to a forgettable 2006 Christopher Walkin/Adam Sandler movie called "Click", in which Christopher Walkin's character gives Sandler's character a remote control that can control time. Apparently in Rick and Morty's world, Christopher Walkin actually has this device, and it's not just a movie prop or premise. Weird, but appreciated, especially since Walkin's character in "Click" is named Morty.

#1: Ouroboros

At the very end of the episode as the timeline begins to correct itself and all the paradoxes vaniush, the remaining snakes don't simply disappear. The snakes that are still alive curl up and begin to eat their tails, making a circle or a ring. This is a reference to the ancient Ehyptian symbol that most people call Ouroboros. The symbol, a serpent eating it's own tail is widely interpreted as an endless cycle; the inescapable loop destined to continue forever. Very fitting for an episode about time-travel and never ending paradoxes!
