Top 10 Actors And Actresses Who Would Make Great Drinking Buddies

Whether you’re just going for a ‘quiet one’, or for a full-on party, these are the famous faces you want at your table! Welcome to WatchMojo.com and today we’re counting down our picks for the top 10 actors and actresses who’d make great drinking buddies!

For this list, we’ve imagined who’d be the best movie star to bring to your local bar.

#10: Peter Dinklage

If this actor drinks even half of what his character gets through during an average episode of “Game of Thrones”, then a session with Peter Dinklage is probably something you’d never forget, but would struggle to remember in the morning. As Tyrion Lannister, he drinks wine as if the world were running out of grapes, but we’d guess the real life Dinklage is a well-rounded drinker; from whiskey to wine, beer to bourbon. And a skilled story-teller too, both on-screen and off. An evening with this guy is the closest you’ll ever get to laying waste to Westeros.

#9: Tina Fey & Amy Poehler

They’re Hollywood’s most in-demand double act, who seem to create the merriest of chaos wherever they go. Not only are Tina Feyand Amy Poehler absolutely hilarious together, there’s more than a little bit of the ‘hell raiser’ in both of them as well. One thing’s for sure, a night on the town with these two is going to be anything but boring. Expect a whole lot of drunk dancing, some highly opinionated, highly inebriated conversation, and probably some exceptionally embarrassing photos in the morning!

#8: Ricky Gervais

It’s a little difficult to decide who’d make the better drinking buddy; Ricky Gervais as himself, or as dad dancing star of “The Office” David Brent. Brent would certainly bring the drink-inducing cringe, if nothing else! Gervais is one of the most intelligent, and offensive, comedians around – which is a great combination for an A-grade drinking partner. He’ll have you and all your friends in fits of laughter, and he’ll incessantly insult all the people you don’t like so much. What could be better?

#7: Jennifer Lawrence

Very few have scaled the heights of Hollywood as spectacularly as Jennifer Lawrence, but very few famous people appear as grounded as she does. J-Law’s charm lays in the fact that her off-screen persona is often at odds with her on-screen superstardom. She’s the exact opposite of a ‘diva’, which is why she’s prime drinking buddy material. Just don’t let her put away too much liquor; Lawrence has a hard enough time staying on her feet when sober, so god knows how unsteady she is when tipsy.

#6: Anna Kendrick

Another celeb that doesn’t take her fame too seriously, Anna Kendrick could easily turn an average night into an awesome one. The star of “Pitch Perfect” and “The Twilight Saga”, in her interviews Kendrick is always quite open about how much of a ‘normal’ life she leads. There’d be no ‘high and mightiness’ with her at the table, just good conversation and company. And of course, she always has the ultimate party trick up her sleeve, because everyone’s at least a little bit mesmerized by the “Cups” song!

#5: Tom Hanks

When you’re in real need of A-list company with your ice cold refreshment, Tom Hanks is your man every time! The star of “Toy Story”, “Cast Away” and “Saving Private Ryan”, he’s a well-loved, well-respected soldier of the film industry. After 3 decades in the business, he’s racked up many a story to be shared over many an alcoholic beverage. Because ‘life is like a box of chocolates,’ but sometimes it takes a box of beer to really put things in perspective. A drink with Hanks would result in one of two things; intellectual pondering, or epic photo-bombing.

#4: Brad Pitt

‘The first rule about going drinking with Brad Pitt is: You do not talk about going drinking with Brad Pitt!’ The “Fight Club” film star is so supremely famous, you’d likely never make it to the bar due to the instant gathering of screaming fanboys and girls. But, if you can find a quiet spot, we think Pitt could prove an excellent drinking companion. After almost thirty years at the top, we’d just like to get Pitt’s opinion on stuff; from world affairs to the sports scores. And of course, on what it’s like having Miss Jolie as a wife!

#3: Jimmy Fallon

One of the most connected people within the celeb world, Jimmy Fallon could definitely fill you in on more than your fair share of gossip. Whether he’s nattering about other famous people or relaying anecdotes of his own, this talk show host has a serious skill for chit-chat. A very funny guy who talks for a living, expect neither the conversation nor the alcohol to run dry. And, if you play your conversational cards right, you could score a seat on the Tonight Show. Because it’s not what you know, it’s who.

#2: Bill Murray

He’s one of the most charismatic, well-travelled, well-lived and generally awesome people on the planet, so drinks with Bill Murraywould likely leave youwishing for “Groundhog Day”. A guy who’s clearly overflowing with life experience, there’d just be too much to do, say and stumble through for one evening alone. When Murray’s not acting cool for the camera, he’s being brilliant in real life behind it,and has fashioned himself as quite the philosopher now he’s in his later years. So if you’re going for a drink at your local bar; who you gonna call? Bill Murray!

Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.
Emma Stone
Amy Schumer
Nick Offerman
Daniel Craig

#1: George Clooney

The only person ever nominated within six different categories at the Oscars, it’s fair to say that George Clooney has led a very varied life. There are few people on the planet who know more about the movie business, and furthermore, there aren’t many men more stylish than the “Ocean’s Eleven” star. In short, Clooney’s a drinking buddy for all occasions. An intelligent and experienced guy, he’dmake for the merriest of pals at any party; be it a smooth jazz kind of evening, or a ‘shots on the table’ affair. He’s just an all-out legend.
