For this list, we’re basing our choices on a combination of the estimated yearly revenue of these YouTube gamers and their individual net worth. We’ll only be discussing individual gamers for this list, so gaming companies won’t be included. Just as a disclaimer, we’ve tried to be as accurate and up-to-date as possible, but as with any income reporting, we can’t guarantee absolute accuracy, as specific numbers haven’t been made public, so the numbers here are based on rough estimates only.

TheWillyrex, real name Guillermo Diaz, is a Spanish gamer who’s well known for being a fantastic “Call of Duty” player, and for his streams of various popular, mainstream titles like “Minecraft” and “Grand Theft Auto V.” As of June 2017, his YouTube channel sat at around 12 million subscribers. According to a 2014 Business Insider article, he was earning anywhere between $231,000 to $2.3 million a year. At any point in between, that's more than decent!

After hearing how much this guy makes, you’ll be the one saying OMG. elrubiusOMG, or Ruben Doblas Gundersen, is a streamer based out of Spain, who became particularly notable after he published a video of himself playing “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.” As of June 2017, his channel sits at over 24.5 million subscribers and 5 billion views, making him YouTube’s sixth most subscribed channel. With those kinds of stellar stats come big bucks, and by 2016, he was making an estimated $2.5 to $3.3 million in yearly revenue.

First, can we just say, what a fantastic name this is. Stampylonghead, AKA Joseph Garrett, is a different kind of YouTube gamer in that, rather than hosting Let’s Plays or typical gameplay videos, he presents himself as a character called Stampy Cat that gifts younger audiences with educational stories made from “Minecraft” gameplay. His channel has even caught the attention of notable journalists, including Jordan Shapiro of Forbes, who called Garrett “a major player in children’s programming.” Garrett’s experimental approach has paid off, as he has been estimated to make between $2.5-3.3 million a year.

Vegetta777 sneaks just ahead of the previous two entries with an estimated yearly income of up to $3.4 million, although some sources have quoted as much as $8.5 million. This comes along with over 18 million subscribers and his popular videos centered around games like “Rainbow Six Siege,” “Grand Theft Auto V,” and everyone’s favorite, “Minecraft,” many of which hit or surpass one million views. It seems as if both fans and advertisers can’t get enough of this Spanish gamer. Speaking of which, Spain really loves their YouTubers, don’t they?

If you haven’t heard of any of our previous entries, chances are you’ve at least heard of Markiplier, and that’s for good reason. Mark Edward Fischbach has made quite a name for himself by playing indie and survival horror games, and his channel has amassed over 7 billion views throughout its healthy life. Fischbach earns an estimated $2.8 to $3.8 million a year and has a net worth of roughly $9 million as of 2016. Certainly not too shabby considering he screams at video games all day!

While this is more of a commentary channel than a gameplay-oriented one, it’s definitely one of the greatest, funniest, and most successful gaming channels on YouTube and it acts as a huge influence on the website’s gaming subculture. The channel typically involves hilarious montages from sessions of popular video games. Real name Evan Fong, Vanoss dropped out of university to pursue his YouTube career full time, much to the disappointment and worry of his parents. We don’t think they need to worry anymore, as Fong is estimated to make between $3.4 and $4.6 million a year from his channel – which also has over 20.6 million subscribers of mid-2017.

The man with the green hair, Jacksepticeye, real name Sean William McLoughlin, is YouTube’s self-proclaimed “most energetic video game commentator.” If you’ve seen any of his videos, we’re sure you would agree. And chances are, you’ve seen at least one, as his channel has amassed a massive 7 billion views over its lifetime, making Sean a very rich man, with an estimated yearly earning of up to $5.1 million and a net worth of roughly $9 million. He’s certainly making a lot more than he was drumming for Raised to the Ground, we can tell you that much.

The channel of PopularMMOs is certainly a…uh, popular one, with over 11.5 million subscribers and regular videos that typically get 1 to 2 million views. What makes this channel unique is the co-operative nature of the videos and gameplay. Not only do Pat and his wife Jen often play the games together, but the channel also employs fictional characters like The Disguised Man and Captain Cookie. PopularMMOs rakes in between $3 and $5.3 million a year. Playing video games for that kind of money with your wife… ah, what a job.

DanTDM, or as he was once known, The Diamond Minecart, is an English streamer who focuses primarily on “Minecraft”, including Let’s Plays and original short films. He is one of the most-watched YouTubers in the entire world, amassing over 9.8 billion views as of May 2017. He even has the Guinness World Record for Most Views for a Dedicated Minecraft Video Channel - a record we didn’t know existed until now. All of these views have paid off, literally, as his estimated income goes as high as $6.2 million, and he has an estimated net worth of a whopping $10 million.
