To become a member of a top tier girl group it takes more than just a pretty face. Years of practice are a prerequisite, as is experience recording and releasing music on a regular basis. Luckily for Dinah Jane and Normani Kordei, they had already released solo songs before linking up with the other Fifth Harmony gals. Normani released her first single at the tender age of 13, while Dinah put out a cover of the song “Dancing Like A White Girl” at 14. A career in the music biz was never a doubt for these two singers!

#4: Dinah Jane Almost Went Disney

When it came time to cast the title role in the 2016 Disney film “Moana”, producers were on the prowl for a talented young singer of Polynesian decent. Seeing as how Dinah Jane checked off all three of those categories she threw her name into the mix. The California native auditioned for the role of Moana but was ultimately passed on by the film’s producers. They say it’s only through rejection that a person truly realizes who they are, so perhaps Dinah being turned down was a blessing in disguise! Either way, it means more time to focus on releasing new Fifth Harmony music.

#3: Lauren Jauregui Is Bisexual

Can you imagine what would have happened if one of the Spice Girls had written an open letter bashing the President of the United States and calling his supporters racist, misogynistic homophobes before revealing that they were bisexual? How times have changed! In a 2016 open letter that was published on Billboard.com, Lauren Jauregui held nothing back, expressing her true feelings towards the current POTUS before bravely exclaiming that she was a proud bisexual woman. It takes a lot of guts to stand up for what you believe in, but clearly it’s something Lauren Jauregui feels comfortable doing!

Fifth Harmony is first and foremost a pop group. As such, they rise and fall based on the support of their fans. No fans, no Fifth Harmony. But don’t worry; this group of female pop stars shares a truly unique bond with their supporters, who are affectionately named “Harmonizers.” For instance, when Ally Brooke’s mother fell ill, she started a GoFundMe page to help raise money for her surgery. It wasn’t long before the Harmonizers got together and donated more than $20,000 dollars! This incredible gesture is one of many that the girl group has received from their fans over the years.

In today’s day and age, it is truly astonishing that anyone still has to deal with racism on a regular basis. Unfortunately, because of their mixed cultural heritages, Fifth Harmony has had to deal with their share of bigotry. In one instance, Normani Kordei, who has a multicultural background, including African American and Indian American heritage, was forced to leave twitter after trolls began tweeting her racist comments and photos. Fifth Harmony used it to fuel their fire, coming out stronger and more united than ever. Do you agree with our list? What is your favorite Fifth Harmony fact?
