Top 5 Trolling Videos – Let's Play Countdown!

Welcome to WatchMojo’s Let’s Play Countdown, where we count down our favorite let’s play videos in a specific category. In today’s short and sweet installment, we thought we’d share some of our favorite videos of let’s players just trolling, messing with other players for the lulz– you know what I’m talking about. We’ve excluded videos that just pick on kids until they cry– cuz where’s the fun in that?– but otherwise, everything on YouTube is fair game.

RHINOCRUNCH

Well, this is the first time we’ve ever shown the same clip twice on the Let’s Play Countdown, but when thinking of great examples of trolling, this one immediately came to mind.

So, in Altis Life, everyone is roleplaying. Either you’re a cop, a criminal or an average joe just doing your job, but the whole thing hinges around people staying in character. RHINOCRUNCH essentially pushes that to the limit here.

Playing as a immoral police officer, RHINO detains a reporter against his will - mid report. The reporter does a pretty good job of keeping in character for a while, but soon has had enough and loses it. Apparently RHINOCRUNCH does this all the time and has been banned from a few servers for doing similar things - but hey, makes for good YouTubing…

Speaking of staying in character… I dunno if you’ve come across StoneMountain64’s clips before - and he’s done a ton of em - but his main bag lately is to bombard his fellow players with military jargon.

The fun part about this is that it’s not direct trolling really. Sure it’s annoying for some people, but he’s not actively screwing with anyone’s game. Plus, as you can probably hear, a lot of people seem to like it. My personal favorite bits are his awesome death scenes. Oscar worthy performances for sure. [3:40]

JeromeThugLoveJones

Well, the name of this channel almost says it all. Jerome’s a self described thug who just lookin’ for love. It’s the KIND of love he’s looking for that seems to put people off tho…

Oh and uh... if you’re the type to be put off by any and all forms of explicit language, now might be the time to skip ahead. Although in all likelihood we opened this entry up with a soundbite so it’s probably too late as it is…

Special props for subtitling this whole thing - that must have taken forever.

Dark Souls … crusher of noobs, destroyer of controllers, enabler of some very creative trolling. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the series, when playing Dark Souls - or in this case Dark Souls 2 - your game can get “invaded” by hostile players...players who try to hunt you down and kill you.

However, as this trickster discovered, with the right combination of equipment you can make yourself look exactly like one of the typical mobs in the Forest of the Fallen giants. Since regular mobs don’t attack invaders, all you have to do in order to pass as a run of the mill bad guy is stand perfectly still and the illusion is complete.

The best part of this clip are the double takes you can see the players performing. Even without voice chat, the reactions are priceless. You can almost see the wheels turning in their heads.

We’re living in the future man! Our consoles can listen to voice commands and do amazing things just because we tell em’ too! The only way this could backfire was if ...say...somebody were to change their name to one of those voice commands and then provoke you into saying that name - right? Who would've thought that saying “Xbox Sign Out” would actually prompt your Xbox to sign you out...

This one takes the top spot because its brilliance lies in how simple it is.

Also, can we just take a second to acknowledge that this channel is named “videogames”? A bit on the nose, but man, when did they create this account? YouTube’s launch day?
