#12: Pisces (February 19 — March 20)
Toni Topaz

When Toni is first introduced, she seems like she’d be the last person to get emotional. But as viewers got to know her better, Toni revealed how caring and dedicated she could be as both a friend and a partner. Despite her tough exterior, Toni is also something of a romantic, which is a major characteristic of those born under Pisces. Like so many other Pisces, she marches to the beat of her own drum and will never get lost in the crowd.

#11: Aquarius (January 20 — February 18)
Jughead Jones

One of the best qualities that so many Aquarians share is the tendency to take up causes they believe in, no matter what other people think. They are dedicated to activism, and Jughead displays that clearly many times on “Riverdale.” Aquarians are known for being lost in their own heads, and Jughead is definitely someone who can be guilty of doing a little navel-gazing. He also embodies the classic Aquarian creativity, which is displayed by his skills as a writer.

Hiram Lodge

Capricorns don’t always make the best first impressions. They can appear to be cold and even thorny upon first meeting them, but underneath that they care deeply about the people close to them. Hiram Lodge, Veronica’s father, can be somewhat manipulative in order to get what he wants, but it’s usually in the interest of doing what’s best for his family. You’ve gotta be ruthless when it comes to running an empire like he does!

#9: Sagittarius (November 22 — December 21)
Kevin Keller

Like so many other Sagittarians, Kevin is passionate about the things he believes in. He’s always fun to have around, even when times are tough. His greatest flaw is perhaps being too trusting even when others would have noticed red flags much earlier. This gets him into trouble throughout the show, but his optimism acts as a double-edged sword because it’s also what makes him so lovable.

#8: Scorpio (October 23 — November 21)
Archie Andrews

Scorpios are known for their intensity, and our fearless protagonist Archie Andrews certainly embodies that. While his friends may not always agree with his actions, he is single-minded when it comes to his strong beliefs. Scorpios can also be a bit inscrutable, with even the people close to them feeling as though they can’t quite pin them down. And with his allegiances changing throughout the series, Archie definitely fits well under this sign.

#7: Libra (September 23 — October 22)
Polly Cooper

Libras are known for being somewhat mysterious, and that’s definitely a word that can be used to describe Betty’s sister, Polly. She’s one of the most enigmatic members of the “Riverdale” gang from the very beginning, and it took viewers a while to pin down what she was all about. Libras are organized and meticulous, which is something Polly displays. Perhaps the thing most important to the typical Libra is their relationships, and Polly’s dedication to her family shows that to be true.

#6: Virgo (August 23 — September 22)
Hermione Lodge

Virgos tend to be perfectionists, and there’s no one with higher standards than Hermione Lodge. Like so many Virgos, she is hyper-intelligent and can occasionally be calculated when she knows what she wants. As an accomplished businesswoman, she is organized and independent, which is characteristic of many Virgos. Her icy demeanor is something that some born under the star sign are guilty of, but when it comes down to it, she is warm to the people closest to her.

#5: Leo (July 23 — August 22)
Veronica Lodge

Leos always like to be the center of attention, and from the moment she arrived in Riverdale, Veronica claimed the spotlight as her own. As a cheerleader, she’s used to performing in front of a crowd and her signature confidence permeates every aspect of her life. That confidence can sometimes even verge on egocentrism. Leos like the finer things in life, and since the Lodge family is famously wealthy, Veronica does have expensive taste. And like so many Leos, her claws come out when someone threatens one of the people she cares about.

#4: Cancer (June 21 — July 22)
Fred Andrews

Cancers are known for being protective and for their excellent parental qualities. That’s why Fred Andrews, Archie’s dad, is the quintessential Cancer. They will always put others first, even if it means putting themselves in danger. Cancers tend to be emotional and seek out people who can keep up with their need to talk over all their problems. Likewise, Cancers give great advice, which is something Fred was known for.

#3: Gemini (May 21 — June 20)
Betty Cooper

In the “Archie” comics, Betty may be the quintessential girl next door. But her character on “Riverdale” is decidedly more complex. Though her appearance may make her seem sweet and innocent, she shows time and time again that she’s not to be underestimated. Her relationship with Jughead and the Serpents show us a split in her personality, which is, of course, what Geminis are best known for. When Dark Betty comes out, you have no idea what you’re going to get.

#2: Taurus (April 20 — May 20)
Josie McCoy

Tauruses are known for their strength and perseverance, which is something that Josie obviously displays throughout the show. Like so many Taurans, she’s incredibly stubborn and will dig her heels in after making a decision. When she decides that she no longer wants to perform songs by Archie for example, it’s not easy to change her mind. Josie is reluctant to trust others and puts up walls in order to protect herself, which is another classic Taurus quality.

#1: Aries (March 21 — April 19)
Cheryl Blossom

Those born under Aries like to take charge, and will never back down from a challenge. Their competitive natures make them both very successful, and somewhat intimidating. Cheryl certainly knows how to win, and is ruthless when it comes to achieving her goals. Aries don’t always think through their decisions all the way before forging ahead, which is a mistake Cheryl makes several times throughout the series. When it comes down to it though, her determination is what makes her who she is.
