Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we’re counting down our picks for the Top 10 Youtubers Who Suddenly Disappeared.

For this list, we’ll be looking at instances where Youtubers went from regularly posting to radio silence without explanation! We’ll include mysteries that are solved, and others that are still ongoing.

Have any of your favorite online stars gone missing without a trace? Are there any we missed? Let us know in the comments below!

#10: Spy Kitten TV

It’s alittle suspicious when you’re discussing mysterious topics, and then you mysteriously disappear! Hosting “Spy Kitten TV” was Dasha, who covered popular conspiracy theories, primarily ones about celebrities and the Illuminati. She was pretty active until July 2018, when she suddenly went radio silent, much to viewers’ dismay. She never returned to the channel, leaving many to wonder where she went! Some theorized that she might’ve been discovered exposing “secrets” and was silenced as a result. But the truth is nowhere near as dramatic. Instead, she moved to a different channel called “The Witching Hour,” where she did Tarot readings.

#9: MacADVentures

Even if you get an answer, you can’t stop people from speculating! This father/son duo were vloggers, bikers, and UFO enthusiasts who decided to visit Area 51. In December 2016, after snooping around the government site a little, they were confronted by men in camouflage gear! The armed individuals sent them on their way, and MacADVentures received no uploads since. This prompted some fans to speculate that something had happened to them, while others believed the video itself was fake. Finally, in 2019, the son popped up on an unannounced live stream to let everyone know that they were both fine and they just stopped uploading.

#8: Paranormalana

The internet can be a dangerous place, and it’s sad when it chases a creator off the platform. Alana G covered several types of scary stories on her channel, from real-life crimes to paranormal activity; she amassed a reasonably dedicated following. So when all of her social media channels were suddenly deleted in 2015, it rang alarm bells! Many other channels within the horror community discussed her disappearance, but her departure was legitimate. She tweeted out before the deletion that she seemed to have attracted a stalker and needed to take action. While some have reported finding her alive and well, she hasn’t returned to the community since.

#7: snakebitmgee

Kenny Veach was a Las Vegas resident and a keen long-distance hiker! Every time he journeyed into the Nevada desert, he would bring his camera to document his walks. The man began speaking of a strange M-shaped cave that shook him to his core and disappeared upon revisiting. During a video where he looked for the cave again, he showed off an abandoned mine shaft. It was there that police found his phone after he went missing. Speculation was rampant, until someone claiming to be his girlfriend commented on his video. In the comment, Sheryon Pilgrim stated she believed he ended his life in the desert.

#6: RedKeyMon

Usually, people who make it big on YouTube want to keep that momentum going. With over 1.6 million subscribers, and his videos getting millions of views, RedKeyMon was a rising GTA gaming YouTuber. Then all of a sudden, in 2015, he stopped. Fans started speculating, some even suggesting he might’ve passed away! It was actually because he just wanted to stop. In a comment on one of his now private videos, he stated that he “never intended to quit as it was just a break, but then months stack up and you feel like it's too late to make a change.” Being an entertainer can be challenging, and we shouldn’t judge if he never returns.

#5: Marina Joyce

Are people making a mountain out of a molehill? Or was there something sinister going on? This beauty-YouTuber shot into the spotlight when her fans started observing an eerie shift in her demeanor and bruises on her arm. People were quick to speculate, with some even believing she was being held hostage! It got worse when she went missing for 10 days. The community sprung into action, and even the police got involved! She was found safe and eventually explained she was going through a challenging time in her life.

#4: Magic of Rahat

Rahat Hossain was a popular YouTube personality and prankster. He went viral in 2014 after giving a homeless man named Eric a lottery ticket which he’d rigged to award $1,000. A very emotional video led to an online fundraiser to get Eric back on his feet. Hossain followed up with several heartwarming updates, but then things took a turn. In 2018, Eric claimed that he never saw any of the money raised for him, among other alarming allegations. While Hossain protested his innocence, the YouTuber went silent during the backlash. Two years later, in 2020, he uploaded evidence showing Eric had been lying the entire time, and made a return to YouTube.

#3: FPS Russia

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this man isn’t Russian. Kyle Lamar Myers was an American gun enthusiast who posted videos as the character “Dimitri Potapoff.” You would see him video after video demonstrating countless amounts of firearms and explosives. He was a staple of YouTube for a long time until he suddenly went silent in 2016. Kyle’s residence had been raided multiple times until he was eventually arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. After a short stint in prison, he discussed on the “PainKiller Already” Podcast the chances of making a return to the channel.

#2: Etika

This tragic disappearance devastated fans in the summer of 2019. Desmond Daniel Amofah was best known for his over-the-top reactions and live streams, bringing joy to his countless followers. Unfortunately he showed signs of mental illness, having several breakdowns on the lead up to June 2019 when he vanished. Preceding his disappearance, he uploaded a video apologizing to his fans. Less than a week later, it was discovered that he had taken his own life. His legacy has lived on in the minds of many as a stark reminder to take mental health seriously.

But two months after Gabby and her fiancé Brian Christopher Laundrie left for their van-dwelling trip, Brian returned without Gabby. The situation only got worse. Police body camera footage revealed a domestic dispute between the couple. Her body was found in the forests of Grand Teton National Park and the case was determined to be a homicide. Brian was named a person of interest, but before he could be arrested, he disappeared, leading to a manhunt. He was later determined to be dead.
