Deadpool to Cast James Bond for Cable?! – The CineFiles Ep. 4

To call 'Deadpool' a success would be a gross understatement. As the highest grossing R-rated movie of all time worldwide, 'Deadpool' contributed to 2016’s record breaking $11.4 billion at the box office. So, it’s only fitting that Ryan Reynolds’ foulmouthed antihero rings in the new year with another, albeit odd, achievement ¬- most illegally downloaded movie of the year. According to the file sharing news site TorrentFreak, the information was collected from various sources, including public BitTorrent trackers. While TorrentFreak claims determining the exact number of illegal downloads may be too difficult, they do estimate that it’s in the millions. While we at WatchMojo would never condone such illegal activity, something tells us the cheeky Deadpool wouldn’t mind this news too much.

Ben Affleck IS Bailing on Directing The Batman – The CineFiles Ep. 6

2016 was a rough year for DC, and 2017 isn’t starting off so great for them either. After starring as the caped crusader in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Ben Affleck was hired to direct and star alongside Joe Manganiello’s Deathstroke in a standalone Batman flick, titled 'The Batman.' But, in an interview with The Guardian, the Academy Award winner dropped a bomb when he said that the film was quote “not a set thing and there’s no script.” In addition to directing, Affleck is also a writer on the film, who happens to have an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. If Ben does decide to leave the project, DC may suffer another massive blow to their comic book reputation. Before we get to our final pick, be sure to check out these new releases. “Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds” (2016) "A Monster Calls" (2016) "Hidden Figures" (2016)
