Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we’re counting down our picks for the most sidesplitting moments where Ryan Reynolds brought about unplanned laughter from the cast and crew. What Ryan Reynolds blooper had you laughing the hardest? Let us know in the comments below!

#10: Spacecraft Mumbo Jumbo

“The Adam Project” (2022)

The Shawn Levy directed Netflix film "The Adam Project" finds Ryan Reynolds as a time-traveling fighter pilot on a mission to save his wife. Of course, things go awry, and when his aircraft crashes, he’s stranded in the past where he encounters his 12-year-old self. Scientifically accurate? Not quite, but there are plenty of complex terms thrown around in the movie. So, when Reynolds interacts with his young costar, Walker Scobell, in the futuristic aircraft, he begins to spout some hilarious made-up gibberish. Unsurprisingly, the moment is enough to get Scobell and the off-screen crew laughing.

#9: “My Mother Was an Egyptologist"

“Red Notice” (2021)

In "Red Notice," another of Reynolds’ Netflix films, the affable actor is paired with two other A-listers: Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot. Johnson plays an FBI profiler who is secretly working with Gadot’s character - a competing art thief to Reynolds' Nolan Booth. And while Ryan and “The Rock” have plenty of bloopers between them (more on that later), a particular moment involving Gal Gadot had Reynolds swearing up a storm. Following Ryan’s line about his mother being an Egyptologist, Gadot just can’t keep it together. Reynolds playfully calls her some not so nice names for ruining the take, asking if she’s “even in the shot?”

#8: Stunt Car Shenanigans

“R.I.P.D.” (2013)

2013’s "R.I.P.D." follows the adventures of two dead police officers tasked with tracking down spirits who’ve escaped judgment in the afterlife. Let’s just say it wasn’t particularly lauded by audiences or critics upon its release. Regardless, the movie features a handful of comical moments between stars Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges. And, based on footage from the making of the film, Reynolds was having a blast while shooting it, especially in scenes involving a stunt car. Playing around with an equally amused Jeff Bridges, and later Kevin Bacon, Ryan lets the laughs flow as the car does its thing against a green screen – often with unexpected results.

#7: Puppy Love

“The Proposal” (2009)

Unlike “R.I.P.D.”, you won’t have any issues finding fans of Reynolds’ 2009 rom-com, "The Proposal." Here, the Canadian heartthrob delivers memorable interactions with co-star Sandra Bullock. However, the standout relationship is perhaps between Ryan’s character and the family dog. While the little white fluff-ball has great affection for Reynolds on screen, a hilarious blooper shows the real-life dog feels the same way offscreen. During a scene where Ryan embraces the pooch, things escalate into a playful kissing session between the two. Reynolds embraces the moment, letting the dog get in his licks, all while Bullock erupts in a fit of giggles.

#6: "He Called Me a Haitian”

“Just Friends” (2005)

One of Ryan Reynolds’ earlier films, "Just Friends," made for a great showcase of the actor’s charming personality and comedic chops. The holiday romantic comedy sees Reynolds take on the role of Chris Brander. Brader, who was once overweight, is now a successful record producer forced to navigate loves - past and present. While there’s lots of comedy to be mined from the plot, one of the funnier moments comes in the form of a blooper. After being yelled at in a church setting, a little boy appears to call Ryan’s character a “Haitian.” The line took Reynolds by surprise and, unsurprisingly, his befuddlement sent everyone into uncontrollable laughter.

#5: Logistical Error?

“Red Notice” (2021)

The aforementioned Netflix flick, "Red Notice," was a certified hit, ranking among the most streamed movies of the year. A major selling factor was the all-star cast, and their impeccable chemistry with one another. This is especially true of Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds. The pair’s witty banter can certainly be exemplified in many scenes, not to mention bloopers. In one instance, where Johnson questions Reynolds' character's motives for jumping into the water, Reynolds answers it was to retrieve his cellphone. The outtake, highlighting a potential continuity error, effortlessly leaves everyone laughing it up.

#4: "I'm So Scared”

“Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard” (2021)

In the 2021 sequel "Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard," Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, and Salma Hayek reunite for more action/comedy hijinks. This time, Hayek's character, Sonia Kincaid, enlists the reformed Michael Bryce (Reynolds) to rescue her husband from mobsters. With an increased focus on Sonia, Hayek says she was “thrilled” to add new layers to her character, including dealing with menopause. Which leads to this hysterical outtake where Hayek, in a rage, accidentally hits Reynolds in the head. The hilariously playful banter between the two later leads to Reynolds announcing that he’s “so scared.” Naturally, Hayek is all laughs, as is the unseen crew.

#3: "She's Got My Nipple"

“The Proposal” (2009)

“The Proposal” wasn’t only a career highlight for stars Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock, it also marked a memorable outing for beloved actress Betty White. Playing Ryan’s character’s protective grandma, White brought lots of charm to the part – not to mention some playfully dirty jokes. She and Reynolds clearly got along great on set, as seen in an amusing blooper. Betty gets up to hug the cheeky actor next to Sandra Bullock and is hilariously accused of “biting” his nipple. Ryan’s accusation is met with shocked laughter from the cast and crew, while White clearly enjoyed the insinuation.

#2: "I'm Gonna Crap My Pants"

“Just Friends” (2005)

Ryan Reynolds may have still been finding his way in Hollywood when he made the 2005 Christmas film “Just Friends,” but he had no problem finding the laughs. And, well, leave it to a “poop joke” to make us laugh the most. When Reynolds is made to deliver a line about soiling his pants, he, nor his co-star Amy Smart, can keep it together. In fact, each attempt from Ryan makes things worse – and by worse, we mean more gut-bustingly funny. The laughs come fast and furious as Reynolds does variations of the line. The results are the same though: outtake comedy gold!

#1: "Gonna Leave Me Here With..."

“Deadpool” (2016)

You just knew the “Merc with a Mouth” had to show up on this list at some point! While making the “Deadpool” films, star Ryan Reynolds often rattled off variations on punchlines and insults. This allowed the filmmakers to choose the best one for the final cut. This process can be seen when Reynolds’ Wade Wilson compares Angel Dust's appearance to numerous figures. The hilarious outtakes show Ryan throw-out names like Kevin Sorbo, Nikki Sixx, Henry Winkler, and even a reference to Chunk from "The Goonies." After his character gets hit in the face, Ryan lets out an apology to Angel Dust actress Gina Carano. This is followed by plenty of laughs and playful obscenities.
