In our first scene, Hitch’s girl is almost hijacked – but thankfully the guy’s about as smooth as sandpaper! With this opening line he comes on strong, but the rest of his pitch is decidedly weak. Made all the more cringe-worthy by Will Smith’s close proximity, this is an effort that was doomed from the start! When it’s followed up by Smith’s ultra-professional pick-up, it just seems all the more pathetic… We couldn’t help but notice that he looked like a fool!

The whole scene is a struggle for control – a struggle that Hepburn undoubtedly wins! Walking a lady home has never been so hot under the collar!
