Not only is Stockholm the most populated region in Scandinavia, but it is also the capital and largest city of its native Sweden. The 2.1 million people living within the metropolitan area of Stockholm are spread over two thousand five hundred square miles of land.
An Island City
The city itself is built across 14 islands that are joined by almost sixty bridges, and it is because of this that you are never far from the water when visiting Stockholm.
Famous for Clean Water and Green Parks
You’re also ensured fresh and clean air due to the abundance of green space. The lush and calm areas stand in contrast to the busy, metropolitan center of the city. In fact, Stockholm is famous for its parks and sparkling waters.
