Top 5 Weirdest Things People Watched on Twitch

These streams are on a whole other level of weird… Welcome to, and today, we’re counting down our picks for the Top 10 Weirdest Things People Watched on Twitch!

For this list, we’re looking at some of the strangest streams we’ve ever seen on Twitch. This can range from erratic behavior to interesting experiments to something that makes you wonder why you’re even watching it in the first place.

#5: Trapped in the Closet

We’ve seen streamers do some ludicrous things that typically end in them injuring themselves or breaking a piece of their set. RuneScape streamer capncrunchrs is one of those cases. After a viewer offered him RuneScape gold to run into his closet, our streamer did just that, causing numerous cracks and holes in his door. It wasn’t long until he managed to bust his arm through, consequently getting himself stuck. We just hope that this little accident was worth every bit of virtual currency. Don’t spend it all in one place, dude…

#4: Now You’re Playing With…Feet?

Using a controller with anything but your hands sounds like an impossible feat. Not for streamer SRWFE, who uses a modified arcade fighting stick to play with his feet. With one foot on the joystick and the other pressing buttons, this player has managed to play “Dark Souls”, “Monster Hunter World”, and “Devil May Cry”, each of which requires quick button commands, given the intense gameplay. It perplexes us how he’s able to keep up with little error. Watching his foot cam and the game footage is just too mesmerizing for us to look away.

#3: The Infamous Pokemon Red Stream

Twitch Plays Pokemon

Playing video games with a few friends is one thing. Try playing with over one million other players! The “Twitch Plays” channels are popular because they modify games so viewers can play as a collective, but the “Pokemon Red” stream is the most notorious. What ensued was frequent consulting of the Helix Fossil, naming a Pidgeot “Bird Jesus”, and spending fifteen freakin’ hours getting past Route 9! The madness lasted for sixteen days, and the system was reworked twice to help the community progress. We’ll just stick to flying solo for our “Pokemon” adventures, thanks.

#2: Jeff Kaplan’s Christmas Eve Stream

Was your Christmas Eve uneventful? Well, we’re sure you wouldn’t have wanted to be in Jeff Kaplan’s shoes. On December 24, 2017, the director of “Overwatch” spent nearly TEN HOURS sitting in front of a fireplace with a plate of cookies and milk…doing nothing. There were a few skits and gags, but most of the stream was filled with Kaplan sitting in long silence. Just when the thousands of viewers thought a new “Overwatch” hero was going to be announced, the stream “glitched out”. The holiday stream was just a giant troll, and yet it was the top promoted stream on Twitch that day.

Before we reveal our weirdest top pick, here are a few honorable mentions…

#1: Fish Playing Street Fighter

We didn’t think it was possible, but we now know that we can make our pets play video games. Fish Play Street Fighter is exactly what it sounds like: two fish playing “Street Fighter”. See, two fish are put into a modified tank that’s divided into nine sections, each one representing a command. The fish can input commands depending on where they swim, thanks to motion sensors and more techno-magic. The concept sounds bizarre, but these matches can become just as intense as an EVO tournament. Of course, there’s those occasional awkward moments where the fish stay in one spot and bring the fight to a grinding halt.
