Annexed by the United States in 1959, today Hawaii is the only state to be comprised entirely of islands. This state is popular with tourists because of its unique natural elements, which include a number of volcanoes and some of the world's best surfing waves. And with its tropical climate, surfing, exploring and other outdoor activities are possible throughout the year.
